Chapter 34: Chapter 34 Fishing Enforcement
"Fxxk you! Black Devil! Aren’t you guys tough? Come on! Show me how tough you are!" Allen Zhang cursed loudly, swearing with each word.
Fatherless, watermelon, fried chicken, plantation owner, cotton picking - all these words were spat out coherently.
With honeyed words that sting the heart, causing psychological blows, it’s indescribably low class.
The old Qi People have always had low tolerance, repeating the same few insulting words.
Allen, however, was trained in the Zuan region, not fast with his hands, orphaned.
Black was stunned, never seen someone who could curse like this before.
"As long as any one of you can beat me, this $620 is his! If not, then get your asses back home and pick cotton! From now on, this place is my territory!!"
Allen pulled out a thick roll of Paper Currency, immediately attracting Black who had considered running away.
Staring at that thick roll of green US Dollars, their eyes widened instantly.
Unable to resist the primal temptation, they exchanged looks and charged forward without another word.
Another guy pulled a fruit knife out of his pocket!
Allen, baiting for a trap, pulled a broken baseball bat from his waist and rushed forward, swinging the bat at Black’s eye socket with a loud ’bang’, the bat screeching as it cut through the air.
Immediately exploded his eyeball.
"It was you who pulled out a weapon first."
Another swing broke his wrist bone, knocked the fruit knife away, and he stepped on the knife with his foot.
"Fuck, knew you’d pull some sneaky shit when charging in. Pretending to play with knives, I was fighting unrestricted street fights when you were still a tadpole!"
"Play! Play! Loving to play!!"
Allen unleashed a kick, repeatedly striking his legs with loud thumps.
His thigh quickly swelled up.
Black collapsed to the ground, emitting pig-like screams, covering his eyes and thigh.
His thigh, struck repeatedly, aching and numb, felt like it had been hit by a speeding car, unresponsive.
The other Blacks were scared stiff, seeing the blood on the battered baseball bat, they turned and ran without looking back.
"Never show up on my turf again!! Or I’ll slaughter you all!!"
Allen yelled, "Black Devil! Remember this!! Fxxk you!!"
Leo, pushing a cart, stood on the opposite street, frozen, staring at him as though looking at a monster.
Allen went up to the prostrated Black and slapped him a few times, successfully awakening the unconscious young Black Devil, gazing at his bewildered, dazed expression, he pointed to the side where another Black, like a sobbing woman, was crying.
"Take him away! From today onwards, this is my turf! My name is Hanberger Juan Jin! You’ve practiced boxing, think you’re tough? I better never see you again! Or I’ll end you!! Crushing your balls and stuffing them in your mouth!"
"Ok, ok!!" The young Black Devil’s eyes instantly cleared, nodding rapidly like a pecking chicken.
No way out, as Allen’s blood-stained, battered baseball bat swung in front of him.
The young Black Devil feared he might swing it at his head, bursting his eyeballs too!
Struggling, he carried Black and limped quickly away from the street.
"Job’s done."
Allen smiled faintly, carrying his baseball bat.
Winning people over with virtue and overpowering them with force, easily conquered another street.
"You’re really too brutal, Mr. Jin..."
Leo muttered submissively, feeling like he was in the presence of a tyrant.
"But I must say, you really did give us a way to vent our anger!!"
Allen waved his hand, "Don’t flatter me, I’m not one to believe in violence for violence. But there’s no choice if you want to survive on the streets, you’ve got to take tough measures! I believe once this spreads, other Scavengers will also be less resistant to joining our group."
Winning without a fight was the best outcome he wanted.
"Of course!!"
Leo responded eagerly, "When I get back, I will persuade those lone scavengers to join our team too!"
"That would be best."
Allen Zhang cracked a smile, "Leo, you should be able to find the headquarters at Lori Louis 19, right? When I get back, I’ll talk to the team leader about this, and I’ll have him come here tomorrow to spray our graffiti. Be ready to formally start working. You can contact the team leader about anything. His name is Dominic, and he will also be our second in command."
He himself wasn’t good at picking cans, but Dominic was a different story. As the emperor of can picking on the streets, he had been doing it for two and a half years and had developed an eagle eye.
From a long distance away, he could tell how many pounds of cans you had in your pocket and casually estimate their value as well as the types of items that could be bought with them.
He was a perfect accountant!
But that was only limited to the can recycling business; Dominic’s expertise was just too specialized, and he was clueless in other areas.
Oh, and there’s the legal pioneer Dave. I wonder how his lawsuit is going. If the other party performs well, Allen Zhang would also consider hiring him as the personal lawyer for his team, since we’re all in this together.
Dave was clearly a double-edged wildcard.
He couldn’t be easily used. Deploying him meant either someone from our side going in, or someone from the opposite side getting a two-hundred-year sentence. It’s a decisive battle in the first fight, determining the entire situation!
Used correctly, taking Dave to sue the mayor of Los Angeles could gather all the charges against him and lock him up for two hundred years. Used poorly, it would just blow up on the spot, sending our guys in too.
What a concept-level strategic weapon.
Having him strategize and impart legal knowledge, that he could still manage.
After all, going to a law firm to hire a lawyer would be ridiculously expensive.
"I understand." Leo immediately nodded in response.
After exchanging greetings, Allen Zhang handed over his trusty baseball bat to him and then left.
During the journey, he received a message from Rena.
He glanced at his mobile phone.
Rena: I love the flowers you sent!
She sent a photo showing flowers in a glass vase, and there was a bottle of Pinot Noir on the table.
Allen Zhang: Glad you liked them.
Rena: Where did you buy that bottle of wine? It must be expensive, right?
Allen Zhang: Buy? You’re really looking down on someone here, I picked these up from the trash!
Rena was suddenly silenced.
Rena: Allen, you really didn’t have to say that! So? Are you planning to ask me out with a bottle of wine and flowers picked from the trash?
Allen Zhang: I don’t think I ever said anything about a date. Rena, this is just my way of thanking you for your selfless help. After all, without you and Dominic, I would probably still be homeless on the streets.
Rena: Okay, I understand. Anyway, thank you for the flowers and wine! It’s been a long time since anyone gave me a gift.
Allen Zhang: I don’t think it’ll be the last time. I haven’t tried things picked from the trash either; maybe someday we can try it? That would be a cool idea!
Rena: You’re a scavenger, you’d easily accept things picked from the trash. Alright, when the time comes, you drink the wine, I’ll drink beer.
Allen Zhang: ok!
Allen Zhang also notified Dominic via social media, letting him know in advance what had happened here.
Dominic was clearly shocked by his efficiency.
Dominic: You just went to back me up, and you took down two streets? Took on two gangs by yourself? Dude, you’re too strong! Are you Superman? You didn’t cripple them, did you?
Allen Zhang: They asked for it, no one can bully my people. I really restrained myself, and thankfully didn’t cause any fatalities. How are things on your end?
Dominic: We just got back. David and Gate went to pick cans on the street by Carnation Club. They also applied to stay on that street tonight to prevent others from invading our territory. Despite my efforts to dissuade them, it’s hard to dampen their enthusiasm.
Allen Zhang: If they volunteered for it, then let them go.
After all, the other side has very rich street survival experience, even better than Dominic, and now that they have their own streets, it’s a good opportunity for them to shine.
Hmm...
Switching it up with begging and picking up cans, huh?
