America 1982-Chapter 497 - 94: For Justice_2
Belter couldn’t meet Tommy, even though everyone had already graduated and they both shared Stephen as a close friend. In Belter’s words, the moment he saw Tommy, he felt an urge to just shoot him. Just because they were from the same cohort, the Phoenix Society was always overshadowed by the White Robe Society. Tommy, at that time, had a beautiful girlfriend named Odelia, yet he still hit on the girlfriend Belter had painstakingly pursued. Even if Tommy had successfully wooed her and slept with her, Belter wouldn’t have been as furious. No, it was that idiot who filled that literature major’s head with that bullshit about living life to the fullest and enjoying the moment, and then she turned so wild she outdid even the Blonde Society’s sluts in openness. As a result, Tommy’s White Robe Society lackeys were the first to reap the benefits.
When the members of the White Robe Society’s SSD presented the outgoing president, Tommy Hawk, with an honorary commemorative rope and bid farewell to this former society president’s college life in a grand ceremony, the new and old brothers of the Phoenix Society held him down on the floor, drew a dick made of the infinity symbol on his forehead, and made him attend the graduation ceremony with that symbol, just to thank the Phoenix Society for achieving the honor of being Stanford’s second top fraternity for two years in a row under his, Belter Vanstan’s, leadership.
But Belter had to admit that later on, using Tommy’s approach on philosophy or literature majors proved to be foolproof, and he even passed the technique on to Stephen. Stephen used it a few times in Los Angeles with great results, and yet, surprisingly, it failed in Miami.
"First, just by looking at those girls’ outfits, you know they’re locals, just in the hotel waiting for their friends, to meet up and head out together. One of the girls was wearing a Patek Philippe 1951 classic three-question watch on her wrist, which I had given to Sophia as a birthday gift once. It’s about twenty-seven grand, do you think a girl with a down payment for a sports car on her wrist would be swayed by a night in an ocean-view suite?" Tommy said casually, sipping his coffee:
"Second, you were too hasty. When I was at Stanford, hitting on girls, I didn’t just use breakfast once. I took two weeks to create chance encounters with Belter’s girlfriend, and I didn’t talk lovey-dovey stuff, just life, convincing her life is about enjoying the moment—this bullshit belief. If you want to brainwash someone, it has to be subtle and gradual, not like you, one moment playing the part of Mr. Morality talking about life, and the next, you can’t wait to get them stripped and down to the beach with you."
"You’re not cut out for this, did you notice the celebrity magazine the girl was holding when she left? She was wearing the same dress as the cover star. You should’ve directly said, ’Ladies, I’m a well-known producer in Hollywood, I’ve worked in depth with many actresses, especially that cover star,’ then pull out a phone and pretend to be surprised to talk to your director, saying how on vacation in Miami, you happened to meet two girls perfect for this new movie, and ask the company to send a formal letter inviting them to audition, offering to cover their plane tickets and accommodation, then ask for the girls’ address and phone number to tell the director, considerately reminding them to mind their privacy and they can leave a public address. Hang up, say a few more courteous words, leave your business card, talk briefly about the new movie, then leave the rest to your staff. I guarantee you, by evening, those girls will definitely be too curious and will come to chat about the script, have a drink, catch a breeze, talk about fortunes, and when they’re slightly tipsy, you remind them about that handwritten Arabic numeral ’20’ on your business card, that’s your benchmark for artistic depth, and use it to assess if they have enough artistic substance. Trust me, the more artsy or chilly a woman seems, the more open she becomes after a few drinks, beyond any man’s expectations."
"Do you often get girls drunk? You sound very experienced," Stephen said with a hint of skepticism after hearing Tommy’s spiel on picking up girls.
Tommy shook his head. "No, it was Odelia, she once had some wine sent over from a friend’s vineyard, tastes really good, and she ended up drinking a bit too much."
"And then?" Stephen asked.
Tommy smacked his lips reminiscing, "After that... I felt like she got possessed by a succubus juicer. The next afternoon, I was still in bed when I called my personal trainer and took a three-day break."
"Remember to have Odelia call her friend and send over some of that same wine to my place," Stephen, after listening to the gossip, then mercilessly changed the subject, "So what the hell are you doing sitting here instead of working on the variety show? Get moving; don’t forget you’ve signed a performance contract! Unless you’re prepared to tell me some more stories I find interesting."
"I’m waiting for Page," Tommy said as he ate his breakfast. "Without him, the subsequent plot will lack climax."
Reflecting on the name Page, Stephen asked, "Your old bodyguard? What has he gone to do for you?"
Swallowing the food in his mouth, Tommy declared righteously, "Not for me, for justice." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

In Putnam County, Florida, the county seat of Palatka.
This city is even smaller than Warwick City in Rhode Island, with just over eight thousand people. It also ranks as one of the lowest-income cities in Florida. If it weren’t for the Koch Corporation setting up a paper mill here, providing jobs for nearly two thousand citizens, this place might have been bankrupt and dissolved years ago.
