The room fell silent again, and Dolly’s eyes wandered back and forth between Emily and Klaus, while they said nothing. Finally, it was Dr. Stephen who broke the awkward silence. He glanced at Klaus and Emily, " I think you guys should talk."
Then Dr. Stephen gave Dolly a look which she understood at once. Dolly followed Dr. Stephen, and without a word they left the room.
After the door to the room had been softly closed, Klaus went silently up to Emily, and he looked at the woman on the sofa. " You’re carrying my child, aren’t you?"
Emily hung her head, wondering how it could have happened. Why did Elijah claim the baby as his own? She resented the fact that she had lost her memory and even her timing. If she had gone into labor and delivery earlier, maybe.
Emily thought of the tears that had fallen on her shoulders, and of the pain that Klaus must have felt when he realized that she was carrying Elijah’s baby.
I hurt Klaus. Emily fell into a deep remorse.
" I’m sorry, I thought..." Emily hesitated before she spoke. She really did not know what to say except to apologize to Klaus.
" Do you know what I’ve been going through for the past month?" The corners of Klaus’s mouth twitched, and his eyes were filled with uncontrollable pain. " Whenever darkness comes, I can never sleep. Because when I close my eyes, your face is always in my head. I cannot forget the little bits and pieces we used to have together. The memories of the past haunt me in the dead of night. It hurts me even to breathe. I called you to tell you that I did not care if the baby was mine or not. I just want to take care of you and your baby. I want to be by your side. But you wouldn’t even give me that chance."
Klaus let out a bitter laugh, " Emily, sometimes you really are too cruel."
"I’m sorry, Klaus. " Emily pursed her lips, her eyes downcast, her insides were beyond tormented.
" You can scold me, if it makes you feel better."
" Scold you?" Klaus shook his head, " No, I won’t scold you. I just want to take care of you and our baby."
" Klaus." Emily looked up, she said with difficulty, " I can’t be with you."
" Why?"
"Because." Emily sighed, " Because I don’t have feelings for you."
"I can wait.
"What if I never have feelings for you?
" Then I’ll wait until the day my life ends." Klaus dropped to one knee in front of Emily. He looked at her straight in the eyes. His tone was firm, "Even if you forget about me, it’s okay. I’ll be with you from this moment on, and I want the rest of your memories to be about me."
Emily looked into Klaus’s eyes, which were full of deep emotion, and said nothing more.

Dolly was standing outside the hospital corridor, and every now and then she glanced at the lounge door. It had been half an hour, and the door had not been opened.
I should have warned her sooner, Dolly thought to herself.

" Klaus is talking to Emily in there." Dolly pouted in the direction of the lounge, " They haven’t come out yet."
" What do you want with Klaus?" Dolly asked curiously.
" Our people have Dyson. So I have to break the news to Klaus." Marx said.
"Then you’ll have to wait. " Dolly said, "They’re probably discussing something big."
"What is it? " Marx leaned closer to Dolly and he asked nosily, "Are they getting back together?"
" I’m not sure." Dolly shrugged, " All I know is that Klaus is going to be a father. As for whether or not they’re getting back together, I really don’t know."
Dolly knew Emily’s obsessive nature well enough to know that she would probably not have forced herself to be with Klaus until she was actually in love with him.
But now that Emily is pregnant with Klaus’s baby, perhaps she will change for that, or maybe she will not.
"God, that’s good news. " Marx scratched his hair, "So, I’m going to be an uncle." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Yes, Uncle Marx. " Dolly chimed in with a smile.
"I want Klaus and Emily to be together. " Marx said heartily.
" Maybe we can do something about that." Dolly gave a wry look, " Like creating some opportunities for them to be alone together, or——"
At that moment the door to the lounge opened. Dolly saw Klaus and Emily come out one by one.
Did they make a deal? Dolly winked at Marx furtively. Dolly winked at Marx and he walked up to Klaus and said, " We’ve got Dyson, he’s in the dungeon awaiting trial."
" Good." Klaus said, "Send someone to take Dyson back to the Capitol for trial."
Marx thought for a moment and said, " Also, all the roads are covered in snow and ice, and vehicles will not be able to travel on them for a while."
" What?" Dolly asked very cooperatively, " Roads can’t be driven on? Is that true?"
" Yes." Marx replied.
" Oh, that’s too bad." Dolly looked at Emily, " Then we’ll have to stay here for now."
Klaus then looked at Emily with a questioning look. Emily thought for a few seconds and then asked Klaus softly, "Is there a hotel here?"
"Of course. "I’ll take you to the hotel right now." "
Dolly pretends to complain as she walks, "Oh, this damn weather changes as quickly as an old widow’s face."
