Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 191: - What if he should never wake up?
The West, The Palace
Late in the night Elijah looked quietly at the sleeping woman lying beside him, and thought to himself: it is so easy to control her.
If Haley’s words had not spurred Elijah on that day, perhaps he would not have revealed his true colors to Emily so early. But Hayley was right, no matter how he disguised himself, Emily would one day discover his true colors.
He had planned to coax Emily slowly, so that she would fall in love with him naturally. But when he mentioned to Emily that they were getting married, she reacted in a way that disappointed him.
Even when Elijah weaves such a moving story for Emily, it fails to reach her heart.
When Elijah lies about breaking his hand to save Emily’s life, Elijah sees compassion in Emily’s eyes, but no love or affection.
Elijah thinks he can be patient enough to develop a slow, loving relationship with Emily. But the truth is, he simply could not.
His possessive, twisted love made him want to possess her at once. He wanted to kiss Emily with the passion she had given him. He wanted to make love to Emily. He wanted to be as intimate with her as a true lover could be.
But when Elijah touches Emily, her response is always lukewarm, and she rejects him. This made Elijah bitter and indignant.
Since flowery words could not coax her, tenderness could not draw the distance between them. Then Elijah could only conquer Emily by his own means.
See, is she not now lying obediently by his side?
At first, Emily refuses when Elijah asks her to sleep with him. It was only after Elijah promised that he would not force himself on her that Emily reluctantly agreed to his request.
Elijah stroked Emily’s face with his fingers, and the way she slept was as beautiful as a blooming rose. Elijah involuntarily bent his head and kissed Emily’s cheek tenderly, and in his heart he secretly rejoiced that the rose was his at last.
.......
North, Purple Star Pack.
Hospital.
" When will he wake up?" Standing next to the hospital bed, Marx looked at Klaus as he lay in it.
Ever since Dolly contacted Susan that day, Alpha Salem (Susan’s uncle) had ordered him and Klaus to be secretly brought back to the Purple Star pack from the western border. They also got Dr. Stephen to treat Klaus.
"Klaus is seriously injured and I’m afraid he won’t wake up for a while." Dr. Stephen said.
"Will he wake up when his injuries are healed? " Marx asked.
Dr. Stephen shook his head lightly, " I’m not sure."
"Why? " Marx asked worriedly," Could he become a vegetable?"
Stephen’s brow furrowed, a torn look on his face." Sometimes a person can’t wake up because their subconscious won’t let them."
"I don’t understand what that means?"
"It means that if he is injured and also suffers severe psychological stimulation. Then his mind automatically creates a sense of protection. And that sense of protection will keep him from waking up. "Dr. Stephen explained, "No one can wake him up unless he wakes up voluntarily."
"Is there no other way?"
Dr. Stephen replies helplessly, "No."
At this reply Marx felt as if the sky were falling. What if Klaus never wakes up?
At that moment the twin princesses, who had been hiding outside the door, overheard the conversation between Marx and Dr. Stephen. They waited for Marx and Dr. Stephen to leave the hospital room before sneaking in.
"Did you hear what they just said? " Maggie whispered. She quietly locked the door behind her.
"They said Klaus was going to die. " Mina said.
"No. " Maggie corrected her sister, "They said Klaus might never wake up."
Mina rolled her eyes at Maggie, "What’s the difference between that and being dead?"
"We need to find a way to wake Klaus up. It would be bad if that Dyson guy became king."
A few days before, the twin princesses secretly contacted their mother (Queen Mary). They learn from Queen Mary that Dyson not only kept the king in a secret location, but that he lied to Queen Mary about having her daughters, and that Dyson forced Queen Mary to support him as king or he would kill the twins.
It was fortunate for Queen Mary that she had been informed at the critical moment that the twin princesses were in the Purple Star Pack, otherwise she would have believed Dyson’s story.
All hope now rests with Klaus, who is, after all, the rightful heir to the throne. If Klaus had given the word, the other pack alphas would surely have united against Dyson.
But right now Klaus is in a coma and no one knows exactly when he will wake up.
"Maybe he needs some excitement. " Mina said, pulling a small knife out of her pocket, "Why don’t we stab him and see if he reacts?"
" Are you crazy?" Maggie whispered, scolding her sister, " Klaus is already hurt, do you want to keep hurting him?"
" I just wanted to test if he reacted." Mina said helplessly, putting the knife back in her pocket.
"That won’t work at all. " Maggie said, "Dr. Stephen said it was Klaus’s subconscious that would not let him wake up. Do you know what a subconscious mind is?"
"Is there something wrong with his brain? " Mina asked curiously.
"Something like that. " Maggie said, mimicking the tone of a professional doctor, "His subconscious needs to be awakened."
"How do we awaken his subconscious? " Mina had a question written all over her face.
"Talk to him and stimulate his brain."
Mina shook her head, "I don’t think your method will work even more, might as well let me stab him."
"Do as I say. " Maggie raised her voice, "I’m the big sister, you have to listen to me."
"I’m older than you, I’m a big sister."
The two girls argued in the hospital room. At that moment Marx pushed open the ward door, saw the two girls arguing, and stopped them at once.
"Princesses, you shouldn’t be fighting here. " Marx said sternly, "This is a word not a playroom, get out."
" We’re trying to wake up Klaus," Mina explained hastily.
"Would you stop messing around? " Marx said sternly, "Get out of here."
The twin princesses kept their mouths shut and left the hospital room. The moment Marx closed the door to the ward, no one saw Klaus’s fingers move even a little.
