" Klaus, we will meet again." Elijah stepped over a body as he walked slowly toward Klaus. Two soldiers escorted Emily behind him with her hands tied behind her back and her mouth taped shut.

She looked at him with helpless eyes.

" Let her go!" Klaus growled at Elijah, and was about to pounce upon her, when one of the Westerners, who had fallen to the ground, rose and stood in front of Klaus, followed by a second, a third, and a fourth.

More and more western warriors surrounded Klaus, they confronted him, and as they raised their claws at the same time, Elijah said to the soldiers in a commanding tone, "Stop."

When the soldiers heard the command, they simply stood still and did not attack Klaus. Their faces were expressionless, and their red eyes were fixed on Klaus like fiends.

" So you are the one who is controlling them. How dare you use black magic against the rules of Luna." Klaus looked at Elijah with anger, " If you are a real man then fight me, Let’s have a fair fight."

" Fight with you?" Elijah sneered, he grabbed Emily to his side and said to Klaus as if he was showing off a trophy, " Klaus, do you think you can win against me this time?"

" I said let her go!" Klaus swung his wolf-paw as hard as he could, snapping the neck of the western warrior in his way as he stepped forward over the body at his feet.

" If you want her to die in front of you, keep moving forward." Elijah threatened Klaus as he put his hand around Emily’s neck, " Have you forgotten how your last mate died?"

Klaus stopped dead in his tracks, the fury in his eyes uncontrollable. Brutal memories returned to him. Last time it was Maya, this time it’s Emily. Why does the same thing happen twice? His heart was filled with pain and anger, and it seemed as if a flame were burning to consume everything.

Klaus looked at Emily, and her eyes filled with tears. The tears were like crystallized pearls, glistening with sorrow in the mist of blood. He could not allow her to die here, absolutely not.

Klaus knew that Dyson was in no position to come to his aid, for Elijah’s words had been addressed to Dyson earlier. It was clear that they were in cahoots.

"You traitor, you betrayed your country. " Klaus stared viciously at Dyson, "Have you ever thought about the consequences of colluding with the West?"

" Consequences?" Dyson sneered, " Soon the nation will know that Prince Klaus, whom they have always worshipped, has lost the war, and that I am the one who truly saved the nation. You will be the loser and forgotten, but I will be the only one to take the throne."

"What the hell have you done? You bastard." Klaus’ eyes went back and forth between Dyson and Elijah, he instantly realized what was going on. He snarled at Dyson, "Why is Emily here, did you do this?"

"To be exact, I sent Emily to King Elijah. " Dyson said, "By the way, your former mate was also tricked into going to war by me. The foolish, weak woman went out of her way to find you as soon as she heard of your death on the field of battle. She was killed by my arrow."

"It was you!" Klaus growled angrily and charged at Dyson. The warriors behind Dyson immediately raised their machine guns and opened fire on Klaus.

Klaus was shot in the knee and fell to his knees. The pain spread through him in an instant. He clasped his hands over his wounded knee and tried to rise and fight on, but the sharp pain made his body tremble slightly.

Dyson looked at Klaus, who was kneeling on the ground, a smug smile appeared on his face, "Klaus, You lost!"

"Maybe we should give him a magnificent death. " Elijah spoke up, " Klaus is the Alpha that everyone looks up to, he should have died under the paws of his enemies’ wolves instead of guns."

"Keep your men back, Dyson." said Elijah in a commanding tone.

Dyson waved at the warriors behind him signaling them to back off, then Elijah took a step forward as he whispered an ancient incantation under his breath, "Selieley."

Slowly they opened their steps, and, step by step, they approached Klaus. When the first of the western warriors rushed at Klaus, Klaus snarled and swung his wolf-paw to meet him.

His claws made a sharp arc through the air and gripped the Western fighter’s chest. Undaunted, however, the warrior raised his arm to block.

Then another of the undead warriors rushed upon him. Klaus, with all his strength, raised his wolf’s paw and seized the top of the champion’s head. The champion staggered a little from the blow, but soon regained his footing. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

The undead warriors of the West continue to emerge. Klaus was gradually caught in a quandary. His body, too, was covered with numerous wounds, and the blood stained his clothes red.

Emily struggled desperately at the sight. She would have gone to Klaus’s side, but the two Western warriors held her firmly, and her face was full of tears.

Emily nodded hastily, then Elijah told her, "If you refuse Klaus to be your mate, I’ll make those soldiers stop. Are you willing to do that?"

Emily didn’t hesitate. She nodded her head desperately, her eyes red. Elijah smiled contentedly. He ordered the undead soldiers, " Stop."

The band of Western warriors who had just attacked Klaus halted at Elijah’s command, and stood rigidly in their places, their eyes scarlet.

Elijah tore the tape from Emily’s mouth and he gently pushed her waist, " Go on, do what you have to do."
