Chapter 313: 313-I Am Taking The Charge Now

Lara:

An entire day had passed, and of course I had noticed that Kash seemed very disturbed. I also knew that Iris had lost everyone from her life.

For now, Zoe’s drama was ongoing. She and Markus behaved like victims all the time. On the other side was Lady Vivian, who was taking care of the children.

They had even discussed hiring more nannies. The children were in complete chaos. In a single day, they had asked fifty times where their mother was.

Each time, Kash told them she had gone somewhere for work. It was Lady Vivian’s idea. She had said that after some time, they would settle down on their own and might even forget their mother.

I did not want them to forget her. I wanted them to be crushed and leave this place forever, but for now, I was controlling myself.

First, I had to remove Zoe, Lady Vivian, and Markus from my mansion. Then I had to make Kash completely mad in love with me.

That morning brought even better news for me when my father sent me pictures. They were from the cabin, the prison room where a warrior had taken Iris’s photos.

Her back was bare. The rest of her body was covered from the sides, but there were caning marks beneath her feet.

Her back was completely covered with wounds and those marks. Her face was turned the other way, but her back was clearly visible in the picture.

The moment I saw it, I felt like gagging. There was so much blood and such terrible injuries.

Then a smile crept onto my lips because, finally, she was getting punished for what she had done. Her fault was that she had tried to come between Kash and me.

My father told me the news had spread everywhere that Kash had left his first wife and had even rejected her. In fact, he had taken a few warriors as witnesses, and they testified that he had rejected his wife.

Now everything was clear. I was no longer scared of her coming back.

So when I got ready that morning, I was ready to bring down my next target. I reached the table and sat down with everyone for breakfast.

"How are you, Lara?" Kash asked as soon as I appeared.

"I’m good," I replied softly.

He immediately started placing food on my plate.

"I was thinking you no longer need to sleep on the second floor. You’re already pregnant, and I don’t want you taking the stairs," he said, watching me with concern.

The way he cared for me was everything I needed. I smiled to myself as I looked around.

Zoey looked miserable as she finished her food, always ready to spoil the atmosphere.

"How are you, Zoe?" I asked, turning my attention to her.

She lifted her head and gave me a faint nod.

Then I turned to Kash, already thinking about getting rid of them because if I delayed, my pregnancy would progress too far, and I did not want to waste it.

I wanted this time to be spent with Kash, for us to have something special without any interruption from his family.

"You know, Kash, I was thinking about everything," I began softly.

As I continued speaking, everyone stopped eating and looked at me.

"And I realized that Zoe has been through a lot. We need to do something to make her happy, to help her move forward properly," I added, smiling at Lady Vivian.

She smiled back at me, listening closely as I spoke about her daughter.

"That’s why I was thinking maybe now they should have their own place. They should move into a new home together and start their life properly instead of waiting for another tragedy to hit their relationship," I continued calmly.

The moment I finished speaking, I noticed that the expression Lady Vivian had been giving me was gone. She looked disappointed, maybe even upset. I could not be sure.

"That is all fine, Lara, but I think my daughter wants to stay here with her brother for now," Lady Vivian said, immediately stepping in.

I nodded to show that I understood her.

"I completely understand what you mean, but don’t you think it has become too much? Markus should take responsibility. It will help him move on from what happened, and he will be able to spend more time with his wife, who deserves a man who can take her away from all this trouble," I replied calmly.

I made sure my tone stayed composed and educated, even though I was planting seeds in Kash’s mind.

From the look Lady Vivian gave me, I could tell she was shocked by where this was coming from. She seemed genuinely upset that I was even saying it.

She kept giving me pointed looks, silently warning me not to continue, and I returned them as if I had no idea what she meant.

"I think Lara is right," Kash finally said.

Of course he did. After everything that had happened, I expected him to say it.

He was not going to let Markus stay here either. The love of his life had been punished and thrown away, all because he had failed to keep his wife separate from the rest.

I suppose he had realized that it had caused serious damage to his life, his relationships, and everything around him.

"How about we talk about it later? It’s too soon," Lady Vivian snapped, making me raise an eyebrow.

I watched her with intrigue because I knew she would never let Kash go easily until they had drained everything out of him. But I was not worried. Kash was on my side now.

I was not going to let that happen.

So we all silently finished breakfast. But that did not mean it was over.

Once everyone got up from the table, I noticed Lady Vivian rushing toward me. I gave her a smile as if I had no idea she was coming to confront me.
