Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 246-I Have Decided To Leave Him
Iris:
She nodded slowly and lowered her gaze, possibly hiding her tears.
"You’re right," she whispered, sniffling as she wiped them away. "I’ll leave you with your children now. Please eat something and drink your juice. They really prepared it with love."
She said that before walking out of the room
She had brought in quite a lot of snacks. There were children’s glasses filled with juice, and one glass for me with pineapple juice in it.
I was not really feeling like drinking it, but Zoe had told me that my children had actually gone into the kitchen to request the juice for me.
There were snacks too, sandwiches and cheese balls.
"Mommy, have a juice."
Just like I had expected, little Amy quickly grabbed the glass to give it to me. There was a confident look on her face. I smiled at her tiny hands holding the glass.
"Mommy, I made it for you," Amy uttered, smiling widely.
"She only, uh, stirred the spoon," Colin called her out, and she gave him a look before sticking her tongue out at him.
"It’s okay," I told them, taking the glass from them. "But kids, I need you to be on my side, and I don’t want you to make things harder for me," I requested, taking a sip from the glass.
"What do you want us to do?" Amy asked me, pouting, as if they had already realized what I was talking about.
"I found us a home, and before you tell me that you don’t want to go, please, I’m asking you not to make it harder for Mommy. We will move out in the morning, okay? Then we will buy new stuff, new toys, and you will definitely get to meet your father whenever he wants to see you," I explained to my children, noticing how their faces slowly fell.
I hated that I was doing that, but there was no other way around it.
"Mummy, when you go, daddy will get really upset."
Once I said that I was leaving, my children started to speak, looking very sad at the thought of leaving their father.
"But we won’t be far away. Your father will be able to come and see you whenever he wants," I told them with a soft smile, gently touching my daughter’s fluffy cheeks.
Still, it seemed like they really wanted to convince me to stay.
"What if daddy gets sick from missing us? That would be bad," Colin added.
I gave him a look, reminding him of what we had talked about earlier.
"Right. We’re not supposed to make things difficult for you," he said, playfully slapping his forehead.
I did not want to be the evil one who took them away from their father either, but that was all I had left to do now. I had to take a stand for myself and let him know that he could not just crawl back into my life and expect me to accept him.
"Sometimes, you have to stay away from someone to keep the respect and love intact. You will understand when you grow up," I said, running my hand through Colin’s hair. He lowered his eyes and sighed, probably because he did not understand what I was talking about at the moment.
The two of them did not respond. They only gave me a dry nod before starting to eat their snacks while I finished the juice.
After I was done, I began to feel a little lightheaded. It was very subtle, but I noticed it. Then my kids asked if they could sleep for a little while. I thought it was a good idea, because even I did not feel like I could stay awake.
Turning the lights out, I locked the door and informed the warriors outside to let everyone know not to disturb us because we were sleeping.
I knew that Kash was going to come speak with me, so I had already taken safety measures to avoid him.
I lay down in the bed with my children and fell asleep almost instantly, only to wake up early in the morning and realize that my children and I had slept through the entire night.
We had skipped dinner too. My kids had already eaten plenty of snacks, and since they had been awake since early morning, it made sense that they fell asleep so easily and had not woken up, even now at four in the morning.
Still, it felt odd. I had never slept like that before. For the first few seconds after waking up, I tried to understand why it had happened. Then my eyes landed on the glass of juice.
Was there something in it? Did she mix something into it? But why would she do that? And why would she make something like that and then let me sleep through the night?
If she did something, she must have had some kind of motive behind it. None of it was making sense.
I went ahead, took a shower, and got ready. I had to start moving out today. I did not want to delay because I knew Kash would find a reason to make us stay, which was why I hurried.
I also had to tell my father to move with us. It was not like we had much of our things here anyway. We were going to get everything new.
The house came with furniture and basic items, so we were good to go.
By the time I came out of the bathroom, I noticed several missed calls. My phone had a lot of text messages and calls, mostly from Kash, asking me to respond when I woke up.
Clearing my throat, I responded to him with a voice message.
"Sorry, I fell asleep last night. What is it? What do you want to talk about?"
I hit the send button and sat back down on the bed.
I just did not know that he had been awake until now. Was he waiting for me, or had he stayed awake for something else?
