Alpha Razor King-Chapter 74: Despair.
*Over A Year Later*

"Come on, Felicia, I can take care of this myself. I don’t need your guidance, Kelsey," I stated, placing the food gently on the tray.
"I know, but I just don’t want the boss to complain or feel uncomfortable," Felicia sighed, shaking her head at her stubborn niece.
"You don’t have to worry. It’s fine. Besides, Razor doesn’t mind my presence at all. He enjoys it."
"Razor?" Both Felicia and I raised our brows at her.
"Oh, I meant the boss," Kelsey corrected, taking the tray off the counter.
I glanced at her as she exited the kitchen—her red hair, tiny waist, round face, and round butt. She was beautiful, but she was no Luna Isabella.
"What do I do with this child? She’s so stubborn," Felicia raked a hand over her hair in frustration. "She seems to have a crush or something on the boss."
I laughed, sipping on my glass of water. Kelsey seemed to think she was on some mission to make our boss happy again and believe in love... a joke.
"I just wish Luna Isabella was here," Felicia breathed sadly. "Maybe all this would have been a little bearable for him."
"Maybe," I shrugged, making my way out of the kitchen. Things were no longer the same. My boss wasn’t the alpha of the Bloody Skull pack anymore; it was Tom. Yes, Tom. I’d never acknowledge that man as alpha for his betrayal to our pack. He had the audacity to take over my boss’s pack and exile him... I swear he’ll pay.
But right now, I wasn’t sure how we’d be able to get revenge. My boss seemed to have lost all his motivation, from Cross being taken captive to his wife running away and Chris... honestly, I would be a liar if I said I didn’t notice anything between Tara and Chris. From the way he looked at her, the way he spoke to her... the signs were always there, but I just refused to acknowledge them.
"Dean," one of our men called, entering the living room. "Alpha Kane is here to see the boss."
I sighed, not even sure what to do. "Let him in," I told him and waited until Alpha Kane entered.
"Alpha Kane," I bowed my head slightly in respect.
"Dean," he patted my back, looking around. "I don’t see Alpha Razor around here."
"He’s inside his office," I told him. "You shouldn’t have come."
"I know. He might not want to see me again... but I’ll keep trying. Go announce my presence to him."
"Alright then," I shrugged and made my way to the office, shaking my head. Alpha Kane was one stubborn motherfucker. He’d been trying to see my boss for over a year to no avail. My boss had refused to see any visitors.
I knocked and waited for a reply. Even if he wasn’t himself lately, I didn’t dare go in without his permission.
"Come in," I heard his deep voice and immediately opened the door.
"Good afternoon, sir," I greeted, kneeling in front of him. "Alpha Kane is here to see you."
He sighed, dropping his spoon on the tray before looking up. "How many times have I told you to tell him off whenever he comes to look for me, Dean?" He asked in a tired tone.
"I’m sorry, sir," I replied. In the past, he would have punished me for disobedience, but now he seemed too tired to do anything, and it freaked me out.
"Go tell him I’m busy now," he ordered, but before I could reply, the door swung open and in came Alpha Kane.
"That won’t be necessary, Alpha Razor. I’m already here," Kane strode over to the boss’s desk and sat down across from him.
My boss relaxed back in his chair, looking up at the ceiling. "What do you want, Kane?"
"What do I want? I want to check up on my friend, see how he’s doing. I haven’t seen you in forever, Alpha Razor."
"Can you stop calling me Alpha Razor?" he scoffed, shaking his head.
"This isn’t you, Razor. You’re the true alpha of the Bloody Skull pack, the strongest and baddest alpha in Upperville. You single-handedly killed Damon and ended the rubbish the Mafia were about to start..."
"Why are you telling me all this right now?" he folded his arms, staring blandly at Kane.
"Because we need you. Tom has been acting up, being unreasonable. He doesn’t respect boundaries, I mean, he recently invaded the Dark Moon pack!"
"And they said I was the cruel one," my boss scoffed.
But let me tell you, he is indeed the cruelest of all alphas in Upperville. His name brings people to their knees. You don’t want to piss off Alpha Razor King!
"Please, Razor, we need your help!"
"I can’t!" he yelled, frustrated. "That bastard has my little brother... I’ll die if anything happens to Cross."
"But there has to be a way," Alpha Kane tried to reason, but my boss’s brows furrowed slightly.
"Like what? How do I take him down without getting my little brother in trouble?"
"Let’s work together, we can figure out a way," Kane pleaded, getting up from his chair. "I have to go right now. We have a meeting in my pack, I’ll bring this issue up there."
"You shouldn’t bother, Kane."
"No, Razor, I can’t leave you alone... I want to help. See you, and I’ll be in touch," Alpha Kane nodded at him before taking his leave.
I was glad that he had actually visited. I needed my boss back; I needed him to fight for his throne. This was so unlike him.
"I think he’s right, boss. You need to fight back," I blurted out without thinking twice and regretted it from the glare he sent my way.
"Have you lost your mind, Dean?" He asked in a low tone that sent shivers down my spine. Oh fuck!
"I’m sorry, sir, I... didn’t... mean to..."
"Shut the fuck up," he ordered, and my lips snapped shut immediately.
"Go out there and gather the guys, we’re having a meeting."
My eyes widened in surprise. Could it be he was taking Alpha Kane’s advice?
"Yes, sir," I replied enthusiastically, getting up on my feet.
Maybe there’s hope after all.
