Alpha Razor King-Chapter 30: Finally Home.
**Isabella**
Razor stepped out from Cross’s room, his eyes hardening as he saw me standing outside the door.
"Didn’t I say not to leave the room?"
I instinctively took a weary step backwards, feeling my heartbeat rise uncontrollably. I was aware he was punishing Cross for who knows what. I swear you could fucking hear Cross’s harrowing cries from miles away. And while I felt bad for Cross, that wasn’t the reason I was here.
"It’s my mother; she called me a few minutes ago. She’s not feeling fine," I explained, looking at my feet, fingers fiddling with my dress.
I didn’t lie, though; my mom actually called. Plus, I missed my parents so badly.
Razor was silent for a few seconds before he finally spoke. "Alright, you can go see your parents today, but you’ll be coming back tomorrow."
My lips parted to protest, but from his raised brow, they shut automatically. "Yes, sir," I hurriedly complied.
I didn’t want to get into trouble again, and what if he decided to cancel the trip altogether?
"Thank you," I remembered to add.
"You’re welcome," his expression was bland as he nodded. "Chris will be coming with you."
"Chris?" I pouted, not liking that at all, before muttering under my breath. "What about Dean?"
Razor didn’t reply; his face only hardened, increasing my anxiety because being in Razor’s fucking presence always made me anxious.
"I’ll go prepare," I mouthed awkwardly before quickly excusing myself out of his overbearing presence.

After over an hour’s journey, Chris and I arrived at my parents’ house. I alighted from the car, feeling my heart flutter with nervous excitement.
"Oh, how I’ve missed this place," I breathed in the air of Red-water Pack, shutting the car door. Chris immediately brought out my little box from the car before one of our maids rushed outside to greet us.
"Welcome, Miss Isabella," she greeted, bowing her head slightly.
"Thank you. What’s your name?" I found myself asking, surprising both myself and the maid. Prior to getting married, I’d never bothered to know the names of the people who worked for my parents.
"Ava, ma’am," she smiled, following behind me as I made my way indoors.
Immediately, my mom saw me walking inside the house and rushed to envelop me in a tight hug.
"Isa, my baby, I’ve missed you so much."
"I’ve missed you so much too, Mom," I nestled my head on her neck, taking in her sweet scent. My mom always smelled of roses.
"Hmm," Dad cleared his throat, announcing his presence. My mom disengaged from the hug, and I instantly rushed to my dad, throwing myself into his embrace.
No matter our differences, I really did miss my dad.
After breaking the hug, Dad’s eyes traveled to Chris, who was standing close by, fingers clutching my box protectively.
"Dad, Mom, this is Chris. He’s one of Razor’s most trusted men," I explained to them.
"You’re welcome, Chris. I think we’ve seen you before," Dad said.
"At the wedding," Chris explained curtly. Both my parents nodded, confirming it.
Chris is always fucking stoic...Only Razor can reduce him to a whimpering mess though. I kind of prefer Dean to Chris. I really do hope Dean is fine wherever he is.
Later that day, when I was settled in bed with my mom, I glanced around, taking in the beautiful interior. While it was nothing compared to Razor’s room, I still felt much more relaxed here, away from Razor and his intimidating presence.
"So tell me, Mom, what’s the matter with you?" I asked, reaching for her hand on the bed beside me. "Are you sure it’s nothing serious?"
"It’s really nothing serious, Isa. I guess I just really missed you. I wanted to see you badly."
"Oh, Mom," I smiled, rubbing her hands with mine. "And I missed you so much too. So how is Red-water Pack? What’s been going on here?"
"Nothing much, just missing people here and there."
"Missing people?" My brows furrowed slightly.
"Yes," she nodded. "Some members of the pack have gone missing recently, but people are saying they left on their own. They probably got tired of staying in this crappy pack."
"Oh," I said absentmindedly as my mind wandered somewhere else. I couldn’t fully recall it, but I’ve certainly heard Razor talking with his men about some werewolves gone missing from various packs.
"They’re probably scared because of the Dead Man Mafia."
My ears perked at the mention of that stupid Mafia. "Dead Man Mafia?"
"Yes," Mom nodded, pushing a loose strand of hair from my face. "There have been recent rumors that they plan to attack our pack."
"Then it’s not safe for you and Dad here."
"Nonsense," Mom scoffed, rolling her eyes. "They’re just bluffing. You don’t have to worry about anything. And besides we have Alpha Razor on our side."
I chuckled. "Alright, Mom." Although I pray she’s right.
"You’ve grown a little more mature in a short time, Isa," Mom’s head shook incredulously as she looked me up and down. "There’s something different about you."
"Really," I laughed, fidgeting with my fingers awkwardly.
"Yes, baby, you seem softer, gentler, a little tamed if I may add."
Oh, she had no idea. This was all Razor’s doing, his stupid rules enforced upon me.
"I like it."
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. She was only saying this because she had no idea how freaking cruel and dangerous that brute is to me.
"I wish you could stay longer," she pouted.
"Yeah, me too. But Razor wouldn’t budge. He said I must return tomorrow."
She drew closer, pinning me with an intense gaze. "Tell me truthfully, Isa, how is he treating you? Is he as bad, wicked, as cruel as they say? Does he mistreat you?" Her voice shook slightly.
I deliberated telling her the truth, but I knew it was of no use. My parents could never save me from Razor, and I didn’t want to worry my mom.
"No," I forced a smile. "He’s been surprisingly good... quite strict but good nonetheless."
Mother clutched her chest in relief. "Thank the Moon Goddess. I was worried sick for nothing. Your father is probably right; your marriage to Razor was the right choice. I can even see some positive changes in you."
Positive changes, my ass.
"Ha ha," I laughed...a fake laugh.
My ass is literally on fire from the ass beating I received from Razor hours ago. As soon as I got to my room, I had asked one of the maids to get me some painkillers. Razor would fucking beat my ass again if he knew I took painkillers to relieve the pain from the spanking.
I fucking hate him!
While I came here to see my parents
because I missed them, I was here because of something else too—to discuss my escape plan with Ian, in the privacy of my room without Razor.
"I’m so happy to be back," I hugged my mom, anticipation coursing through my veins like adrenaline.
As night descended and I finally found myself alone, a sense of relief washed over me. Razor had called earlier to ask about my mom and how I was doing. Of course, I told him I was alright.
A few minutes after the call, a knock sounded on my door. Reluctantly, I made my way to the door and opened it to find freaking Chris standing there, his expression stoic as ever. I sighed heavily, wondering if I would ever get a moment’s peace.
"Luna," he greeted, his voice lacking any warmth as usual.
"Hey, Chris," I replied, trying to sound as cordial as possible, though inwardly I was seething. I knew he was just here because Razor had sent him.
"Mind if I come in?" he asked, already stepping past me into my room before I could answer.
I clenched my fists in frustration but forced myself to remain composed. "Sure, make yourself at home," I muttered sarcastically.
Chris glanced around the room briefly before turning his attention back to me. "The boss just wanted me to check in on you, make sure you’re alright. He also said not to leave the house tonight since it’s already late." he stated matter-of-factly.
"I get it." I snapped, feeling a surge of irritation bubbling up inside me. "You can tell Razor that."
Chris raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything further. He seemed to sense my hostility and wisely chose not to push it.
"Alright then," he nodded, heading towards the door. "I’ll let the boss know you’re okay."
"Great," I muttered under my breath as he left, feeling a mixture of annoyance and resentment towards both Razor and Chris.
Once alone again, I flopped down onto my bed, feeling utterly drained. It seemed like I couldn’t catch a break, even for just a freaking moment.
I grabbed my phone from the bed. It was time to get down to business. I quickly dialed Ian’s number and got up from the bed. He picked up quickly, and I exhaled sharply, glad to hear from him.
"Hey, Isa, how are you doing?" he replied from the other end. His voice didn’t sound as bubbly as it normally did.
"I’m alright, Ian," I responded, pacing around the room impatiently. "But are you alright? You sound off."
"After we spoke yesterday, I’ve been trying to get in touch with Cain, but I couldn’t get through."
"Really? Maybe he’s busy," I suggested, raking a hand over my hair anxiously. I had told Ian about what Razor did to Cain yesterday, so I guessed he was probably worried about his friend.
According to Ian, he met Cain two years ago, and they immediately clicked, becoming friends despite being in different packs. When I asked Ian to help me escape from Razor’s grasp, he enlisted Cain’s help. After chatting with Cain at the training ground, he seemed willing to help his best friend, even if it meant going against someone as dangerous as his Alpha, Razor.
"I don’t know, Isa. I’ve heard a lot about Alpha Razor. I just hope Cain is fine."
"Do you... do you think he found out about Cain?" I stuttered, resting my anxious back against the wall. "Do you think that brute got to him?"
"Nah, nah, calm down, Isa. Cain is very meticulous. Let’s just wait until tomorrow. I’m sure he’s fine."
I rubbed my chin, trying to relieve some stress. "Alright, Ian. I hope you’re right. I really, really need to get far away from Razor as soon as possible."
Immediately after the words left my lips, the door swung open, and in came my dad, his eyes brimming with confusion and anger.
"What did you just say, Isabella?" he demanded.
