Almighty Father System-Chapter 403: Daddy Is A Lawyer.

Leo gathered the entire family together and began to distribute the communicators to them before he said, "You all can put these communicators on your wrists, it can replace your mobile phones."

He showed them the way, it was akin to a watch being tied on his wrist and then he opened his mobile phone and said, "Download the pairing app from the company store."

The application was downloaded and then it showed a scanner like interface. Leo scanned his communicator and then the screen showed, "Exporting data."

The communicator lit up and a progress bar appeared there. Lily asked curiously, "Baba, what is going on?"

Leo smiled and replied, "The application has scanned my communicator's unique ID, and is not using the cloud sync to set up the device according to my preference. The whole thing is slightly bigger than a watch and looks like a gauntlet, kind of historic, now?"

Lily shook her head and replied, "No, it is more like a science fiction technology from one of the comics. Did uncle Rama design it?"

Leo shrugged as he said, "That is most likely to be true."

Then Leo began to explain the features of the communicator to them all, before the device sent a ping notification. The device configuration was complete and then the young man tried using the thing. The holographic interface was very intriguing for him and while he was doing this, Snow and Anastasia also explored their devices.

Lily was looking at them in confusion as she asked, "Baba, why does it feel like you all are waving your hands in the air?"

Leo smiled and replied, "This is because the way these micro projectors are arranged. They prevent the other people from peeking into your affairs."

Lily was surprised and then she sat down in Leo's lap as the young man began to show her how the device worked and also discuss the way it should be improved. As they were at it, Fragrance walked in, and Lily whispered, "Baba, you remember what I told you about, right?"

Leo nodded and said, "Yes, I remember darling, I will handle it. Don't you worry."

Fragrance was also given a communicator and then she explored it with a smile, but unlike the usual, her vibrant smile today seemed very restrained. This was not something that Leo liked, and soon, the dinner was served.

The family ate dinner while chatting and the twins were also there having fun as the elders teased them all. After a few minutes, when the dinner was finished, Leo said, "Fragrance, come along, today it is your duty to help me with the children."

The lady was shocked and caught off guard, but before she could protest, Leo had already taken the twins upstairs in the nursery. After a deep breath, Fragrance stood up and followed Leo, and when she reached the nursery, she found that Leo was already busy feeding Elena and he beckoned her with his eyes.

Fragrance came over and took the task to feed Julina with a bottle as they sat down on the chairs. Leo asked her calmly, "What have you been up to these days?"

Fragrance raised her brow and asked, "Why the sudden interest?"

Leo replied with a faint smile, "Because while you are an adult and a strong person, I do care about you. Since the past two weeks, your smile has been very restrained. Your ever square shoulders are slouching and so, it is high time that I get some answers from you. So, could you kindly tell me what is causing this?"

The young man looked deeply in Fragrance's eyes, before she sighed and said, "Well, I am in some trouble but it can be handled with ease."

Leo scoffed and said, "Are you going to pretend to be strong before your own brother? Are we a family or what?"

His voice was calm but it was filled with righteous anger. Fragrance sighed and she said, "I was dating someone for the past few weeks, this guy seemed nice and easy but then I picked up a pro bono case where he was accused as a man who violated a minor. He was arrested and during one of our dates, he clicked a picture of mine kissing him. Now he is saying that he will use that picture to make sure that I don't take this case, or he will testify that I was dating him knowing full well that he was a criminal who abused a minor.

My client comes from a small town, she is a student here, and it took a lot of courage for her to step forward with this matter. Her family cannot afford to find a good lawyer who can get her justice. They are farmers, you tell me what can I do?"

Leo leaned back in his chair and he asked, "When is the trial due?"

Fragrance replied, "Tomorrow noon."

Leo frowned and said, "And you said it was going to be settled soon? Dumbass."

Fragrance whined and said, "I will complain to Sister in law if you bully me like this."

Leo shook his head and replied, "In the morning tomorrow, I will go with you and take over as the counsel or the legal adviser on the case. You don't have to participate and after that, we are going after that motherfucker for blackmailing you."

Fragrance was shocked and just when she was about to compliment Leo, she heard a calm voice from outside, "Master Cardinal, please watch your language around the children, it is not a good influence on them."

The young man took a deep breath and replied, "Yes, Alpha, I will keep this in mind."

Fragrance laughed about it before she handled Julian to take a burp and placed him back inside the cradle as the young lady watched the twins sleep as Leo gently sang them a lullaby.

The night ended with the sun rising on the horizon, Leo had spent his time last night reading the case details from Fragrance. The young lady wanted to help but Leo directly sent her off.

In the morning, he dressed up in a formal suit and then headed out with Fragrance and Lily. The little one was dropped to school, and after that they headed to meet the client. Snow would be taking the twins to work with Anastasia and that was it.

It was nine in the morning, when Leo and Fragrance reached the court and the latter led him to the lobby where her client was waiting for her with a hopeful gaze. Leo spotted a family of three, the elders were a middle-aged couple, they wore modest but clean clothing. They were standing slightly bowed because they were uncomfortable with the shiny facade around them. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Fragrance patted the teenager on her head and said, "Artemis, this is my elder brother, he will be taking up my position in the courtroom."

The words were akin to a bomb and Artemis was shocked, just then Leo said, "Artemis, hello, don't worry, I am a better lawyer than this lady. I assure you, after today, that monster who harmed you, will not be able to walk free."

Artemis didn't say anything but she clenched her father's hand and looked at Fragrance. The man asked softly and meekly, "Miss Fragrance, can you tell me why you are backing off now?"

The lady sighed and said, "That man inside is someone I know, and he is trying to blackmail me into throwing this case away. I told you before about this, right? I have no other reasons, but I don't want the judge to trash the petition because of that man lying to everyone."

The man nodded, Fragrance had indeed not hidden anything but they really thought that it would be solved. After a few minutes, Leo sighed and said, "I am Leo Cardinal, I assure you that you will not regret the decision of signing me as your counsel. I am a father and I have two daughters, so I can relate you you, really."

The man looked at Leo and then he said, "Fine, I will entrust my daughter to you, Mister Cardinal."

The next moment, Fragrance pulled out the affidavit that was needed to be signed by the client and then Leo's details and educational credentials were attached with the affidavit, just in time for the PA system to call, "Artemis Holl vs Simmons Carter, please report to law hall number three."

Leo picked up the documents and looked at Artemis as he said, "Let's go kiddo, we have to slay a beast."

Artemis was taken aback by his candidness but she was a teenager and something about what Leo said resonated deep within her heart and she followed him. Fragrance and the family followed them slowly as they entered the designated hall, and Leo took the seat on the prosecutor side with Artemis beside him, and he said, "Don't look at him, look at the judge or above his shoulders. Look at him when he has been sentenced and you have won your justice."

Artemis looked at Leo and nodded forcefully.
