All The Female Disciples Want To Kill Me-Chapter 436 - 263: Li Zijun, we meet again. _2
SPLATTER—
His entire body was invaded by black qi, no different from the previous Chu Family guardian. His flesh exploded in midair, turning into flying ash that scattered.
"Second Uncle!!"
"Second Brother..."
Gu Qingfeng’s face suddenly turned pale, watching the scene before him with utter disbelief.
My Second Uncle, an Early Stage Nascent Soul cultivator... just like that, he’s fallen? Without even getting close to that man in black!? Just what kind of monster have I provoked?
The man in black looked indifferently at Gu Qingfeng and finally spoke languidly, "King of Guns Body? Interesting. It seems that today, besides Miss Zijun, I’ve also stumbled upon an unexpected bonus that delivered itself to my doorstep? I’ll deal with you later."
All color had drained from Gu Qingfeng’s face. Although the Gu Family elders had long since shielded him, a feeling of powerlessness emanating from his very bones instantly spread from his heart throughout his entire body.
His voice trembled as he despairingly watched the scene before him.
"Young Master, this person’s cultivation... I’m afraid it’s above the Refining Void realm..."
An elderly man spoke, his face bitter. He forcibly pressed a spot on his back, near his heart; a mere ripple of the aftershock had been enough to scatter all his Spiritual Energy.
I’ve seen the Sect Leader of Qingyang Sect, a Late Stage Divinity Transformation cultivator, but the oppressive aura from this man is worlds apart from his. I can’t muster even a shred of resistance; I feel like a fish on a chopping board, utterly at his mercy.
Above the Refining Void realm?
Gu Qingfeng felt his vision go dark. The strongest cultivators he had ever encountered in his life were merely at the Nascent Soul realm.
The caravan members had thought they were saved. Who could have imagined that the person before them would be so terrifying?
The man in black’s cold voice, like that of a death-beckoning King of Hell, counted down indifferently, "Three..."
"Two..."
His tone was eerie. Black qi was already creeping onto a commoner’s body. In the next instant, they would explode into a bloody mist in the air.
Li Zijun watched all of this silently.
Her slender hand trembled slightly. Beneath her fluttering eyelashes, her bright eyes were dull and lifeless. Her lips moved, as if uttering something indiscernible.
I originally thought that being reborn in this life with my memories would allow me to change everything, to uncover the mystery surrounding my Master, and to correct all that was happening. But only now did I realize how helpless these additional memories made me. So helpless that I could only hide within the merchant caravan, biding my time, watching one innocent commoner after another die unjustly because of me. Yet, at the very least, even if I haven’t managed to change anything yet, I cannot simply stand by and let this continue.
To Uncle Wang’s astonishment, Li Zijun rose indifferently.
The mountain wind swept past. She drew a jade ruler from her sleeve pouch and took a step forward. Her voice was faint, yet she was certain the men in black could hear her.
"Let them go."
Her expression was somewhat desolate.
The man in black gave a strange smile. The next moment, the ten commoners who had been lifted into the air instantly exploded into a mist of blood.
BANG—
Dark blood rained down, splattering onto the ground and onto the terrified, helpless eyes of those watching below.
Li Zijun’s eyes widened, her body shaking uncontrollably in disbelief. Her vermilion lips were bloodless, her face pale. She trembled, "You..."
The man in black, however, paid this no mind. He continued in his hoarse voice, a grim, teasing tone within it, "Miss Zijun, you stood up too late. Therefore, these people will still die."
His voice carried an insidious quality, directly assailing her Dao Heart. "They die because of you! Because of your hesitation, they die! All of this is because of you. If you hadn’t..."
Li Zijun lowered her eyes, listening to the man in black’s words, her robe fluttering gently in the breeze.
Finally, she raised her head. Sunlight gently touched her graceful figure, casting her slender and elegant shadow onto the ox cart.
Lifting the hem of her gown, her feet in their dark silk shoes silently slipped into the shadows.
"Enough."
These words, spoken softly yet filled with authority, instantly cut off the man in black.
The man in black was visibly stunned for a moment, not quite processing it. He looked at the young woman before him, shocked. Those words... they shouldn’t have come from her.
"Tell me, why are you doing this...?"
Li Zijun’s eyes welled with tears, a profound sense of desolation and disappointment in them. "Uncle Erzheng."
A hush fell.
Only Li Zijun’s soft words remained, echoing faintly between heaven and earth in the wind.
The man in black’s body visibly trembled for a moment. A flicker of confusion crossed his eyes before they turned calm again.
His voice, no longer hoarse, was flat as he said, "Miss Zijun, I don’t understand what you’re saying."
He added, "My apologies, but I need to borrow your three energies."
In a flash, his body moved. He shot past the other Evil Cultivators, appearing before Li Zijun in an instant, his hand raised to strike.
The next moment, a brilliant light burst forth from Li Zijun.
A complex Formation suddenly materialized beneath her feet.
Then, an ethereal figure materialized in the air. Hands clasped behind its back, it had broad, powerful shoulders and eyes like stars. A terrifying surge of Spiritual Energy emanated from it, shielding Li Zijun.
"The Spring and Autumn Ruler," the man in black murmured, his eyes narrowing.
Li Zijun, however, did not look at him. She gripped the ruler in her hand tightly, speaking as if to herself, yet also to the man in black before her, "Only an uncle of mine would call me ’Miss Zijun’ with that kind of familiarity."
"And the only one who habitually flicks his sleeve while leaning forward... is Erzheng."
