After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 370 - 135: The Twelve Levels of Hell Trial
"You care so much about the God of Omniscience, you must be a disciple of the Witch of Death," the nun of Hell pursed her lips, looking at the being beside her draped in the garb of the dead, "Only a disciple of the Witch would be so concerned about the God of Omniscience."
"What’s your answer?" Xi Mu’s gaze was cold, and black Flames of a Thousand Deaths ignited in his palm, which could easily incinerate the nun of Hell completely with just a little effort.
"No," the nun of Hell answered nervously, "The God of Omniscience is the original creator, how could there remain any divine placenta of the deity."
Xi Mu’s gaze grew even colder. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"I really am not lying!" the nun of Hell explained anxiously, sobbing as she spoke to Ahtal, "To create a divine placenta, there needs to be a corresponding civilization and environment, but the God of Omniscience is the original creator, there simply cannot be a corresponding civilization and environment."
"She probably isn’t lying," Suna also muttered softly, "This world could not possibly give birth to an environment that supports the concept of ’omniscience,’ if such an environment and civilization truly existed."
She hesitated.
"Then that civilization would have to be above all gods."
The conditions for the birth of the Goddess of Plague were based on a massive expansion in population and culture, a time even more splendid than today, until a remarkably talented mage, aiming to eliminate an enemy nation, created a deadly disease.
Initially, the effects were excellent, but as the deadly disease spread, it also mutated rapidly, leading to widespread deaths in that era.
In an environment where the disease spread to every corner of the world, the Goddess of Plague met the conditions for birth.
And for the birth of the God of Omniscience, at least a civilization strong enough to be tangled with the concept of ’omniscience’ would be necessary.
This was basically impossible.
"What if the capability of the God of Omniscience were not omniscience?" Xi Mu pressed on, leaving the nun of Hell speechless. Why wouldn’t he accept reality? Even if the ability of the God of Omniscience were not omniscience, that entity would still be an unbeatable being.
Moreover, there indeed was no divine placenta of the God of Omniscience in Hell, at least she wasn’t aware of any.
The atmosphere silenced.
A moment later.
"We came here to rescue someone, right?" Suna reminded him. She and Ahtal had come to Hell to rescue the young princess of the Dragon Kingdom, not to search for the true nature of the God of Omniscience’s abilities.
"Indeed." Xi Mu sighed lightly, pressing the hand of the nun of Hell a bit more firmly, "Help us open the tunnel to the lowest level of Hell."
"Once opened, you’re not going to kill me to silence me, are you?" The nun of Hell voiced her worry, indeed concerned about being subsequently killed to silence her.
Xi Mu shook his head and said:
"Once you have helped us open the tunnel to the lowest level of Hell, what other route is there for you besides joining the Church of Death?"
Indeed, that was the case.
The nun of Hell pondered for a moment and decided to agree first, but just as she was about to speak, someone else spoke first.
"No one is allowed to go to the lowest level of Hell." A calm male voice said as everyone instinctively looked over, seeing a handsome man dressed in tight noble attire, highlights his erect physique, with a clean-shaven chin giving him a refreshing and gentle appearance.
But just by looking into his black eyes, one could sense his innate pride and indifference.
And he was the God of Hell.
Second only to the Goddess of Death in rank, and one of the few deities without a divine placenta, as long as Hell itself existed, Hell could be regarded as the divine placenta of the God of Hell.
In a sense, the God of Hell could be seen as Hell itself.
This was extremely problematic.
Xi Mu frowned slightly, evidently very wary, however, the captured nun of Hell appeared extremely excited, knowing that her life was no longer in danger.
As a being born from Hell, the God of Hell had a natural advantage within Hell, except for a great deity like the Goddess of Death, the God of Hell was almost invincible here, rescuing her was going to be effortless.
"Ahtal, you didn’t come to Hell just considering a rescue, did you?" the God of Hell stepped forward, approaching Ahtal, "You carry the favor granted by the Goddess of Plague, that means you have also seen the Goddess of Plague."
Xi Mu kept silent.
"Encountering the resurrection of the Goddess of Plague implies a special connection between you two," the God of Hell smiled, "Would you like to also witness the resurrection of the Goddess of Plague?"
"I am not here for the Goddess of Plague," Xi Mu replied, but the God of Hell acted as if he hadn’t heard, turning away and heading out of the church.
Xi Mu and Suna exchanged glances, then followed the footsteps of the God of Hell, while the nun of Hell who remained behind collapsed, falling onto the stone floor of the church.
Though Hell is a place where one cannot die after death, the power of the Witch of Death does not adhere to the rules set by the Goddess of Death.
If one is killed, then death ensues.
...
...
Pleasure Street.
Many scantily clad men and women lay on both sides of the street, moaning in pain, once part of a group that exchanged their bodies for Gold Coins, but with the birth of the concept of disease, any deep physical interaction could potentially infect the other party.
This not only led to the unemployment of Pleasure Street’s workers, but also to a massive outbreak of diseases among them, now they could only wait to die on Pleasure Street.
"Upon her birth, the first sight the Goddess of Plague witnessed was just such a scene," the God of Hell said casually, "I still remember the Goddess of Plague weeping, yet having no choice but to cleanse all those infected."
