After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 312 - 112: Yes, I do have a crush on him, so what?!_2
We must find another reason to persuade the dragons.
"Your Highness, Princess, why are you protecting this man?" Suddenly a dragon spoke up, eyeing the white-haired lolita with suspicion:
"Do you have feelings for this human?"
"If it’s a matter of feelings, then it is indeed more troublesome," another dragon sighed on the side. They were all quite clear about the identity of the white-haired lolita: she was the White Dragon King’s most beloved daughter.
The White Dragon King was the actual ruler of the Dragon Kingdom and also the consort of a deity, not an ordinary concept like other dragon kings.
"Your Highness, you must be very aware of how dangerous he is," the Red Dragon glanced at the White Dragon King in the audience stands of the dueling arena and, seeing no reaction from him, knew that their actions were tacitly permitted.
Otherwise, the White Dragon King would have intervened.
"Cough... I’m about to pass out," Xi Mu suddenly interjected, although he wouldn’t mind being buried in the bosom of the white-haired lolita to death, he still had to speak up at this moment.
However, upon hearing this, the white-haired lolita did not loosen her grip; instead, she hugged him even tighter. Letting Ahtal speak now would only provoke more hostility from the dragons.
Therefore, it was better to keep Ahtal quiet.
"He won’t be a threat to the Dragon Kingdom," she took a deep breath and explained to the dragons, "There has always been a plan for dealing with Ahtal."
She detailed her plan to the dragons, proposing to recruit Ahtal into the Dragon Kingdom, for him to marry a dragon that he would fall in love with, positioning Ahtal on the side of the Dragon Kingdom.
This would ensure that Ahtal would voluntarily make sure that the magic for seizing the power of dragons would not leak, and it would also give the Dragon Kingdom an existence equivalent in power to a Dragon King.
It was the best of both worlds.
But this raised an issue.
"Your Highness, who would fall in love with Ahtal and make him willing to side with the Dragon Kingdom?" a dragon asked, "He has the Dragon’s Curse; it’s impossible for a dragon to fall in love with him."
"How do you know without trying?" the white-haired lolita retorted, but upon seeing that the attitudes of the dragons had not changed in the slightest:
"Am I not good enough for you!"
The atmosphere grew tense.
Her cheeks flushed, the white-haired lolita said loudly to the dragons in attendance: "Yes, I don’t dislike Ahtal, I also have a liking for him, and I’m willing to protect him."
She took another deep breath.
"So, can you please spare him!"
The duel arena suddenly quieted down.
The dragons’ attitudes softened. If the little princess truly harbored affection for Ahtal, then they could not kill the princess along with Ahtal.
So there was room for negotiation.
"Since you care so much about my apprentice, I will spare you too," a light chuckle came through, and a gap opened in the void.
Hecate stepped out, glancing at the white-haired lolita tightly embracing Ahtal, and said:
"Little dragon, you’ve made the right choice."
She withdrew her gaze, looking around at the dragons in attendance. She was a mere human, but it gave the illusion as if she was looking down upon the dragons.
"Which one of you still wants to kill my apprentice?" she asked with a detached voice, as if inquiring about an insignificant matter.
But the dragons present all chose to remain silent. Because of the existence of witches and demons in the Dragon Tomb, they confirmed the moment they saw Hecate that this mysterious woman was indeed a witch.
And a witch at the peak of her powers.
"Forget everything that happened here and leave," Hecate commanded with a wave of her hand. All the dragons present had their pupils dilate and lost focus, flying away from the arena, with their memories of the duel being altered.
Even though they might realize the death of the Thunder Dragon King later on, they would not recall the specifics, much less remember an encounter with a witch.
"I hadn’t expected that there was truly a witch behind him," the Witch of the Moon remarked, arriving on the scene with the White Dragon King and the Negation Demon following behind her.
To this, Hecate did not even spare a glance, but instead bent down gracefully, tenderly observing her apprentice burrowed in the embrace of the white-haired lolita, and chuckled lightly:
"Disciple, is the embrace of the little dragon that comfortable?"
"She hugged me forcefully." Xi Mu responded in a muffled voice.
Upon hearing this, the white-haired lolita reacted immediately, hastily releasing Ahtal from her embrace and letting him lie on her knees.
Xi Mu turned his head, looking at Hecate the teacher:
"Teacher, long time no see."
"You’ve been quite the sight these days." Hecate reached out and flicked Ahtal on the forehead, dissatisfied she said:
"Are you a bit too complacent now, daring to fall into a vulnerable state in the Dragon’s Tomb?"
"Isn’t that what the teacher is here to help with?" Xi Mu struggled to sit up, crossing his legs on the ground, "And didn’t I ask for the teacher’s help right away?"
"Asked for help right away?" The white-haired lolita blinked her beautiful eyes, and upon hearing this, Xi Mu turned his head and lied:
"I wanted to tell you, but you were holding me too tight, and I couldn’t speak."
In fact, even if he had fallen into a vulnerable state, he wouldn’t have really been surrounded by giant dragons, as he could simply summon the little mare and have it take him away, but it wasn’t necessary for him.
So he let the white-haired lolita hold him tight.
It wasn’t to enjoy the white-haired lolita’s lap pillow and embrace... okay, maybe there was a part of that.
But it was also to make the teacher appear and interact with the demon and the witch.
"Is that so?" The white-haired lolita was slightly taken aback, and Xi Mu nodded seriously, then changed the subject:
"Right, before you said something to me..." before he could finish, the white-haired lolita suddenly stood up, covered his mouth with her hand, and urgently explained:
"It’s just a pretext to solve the current predicament!"
"Alright then." Xi Mu nodded slightly, propping himself up on his knees and standing up, approaching Hecate the teacher.
"Let’s go, we should talk somewhere else." he pointed to a spot in the distance, "About whether you would like to join the witch’s camp."
"Then I, as a demon, might not be suitable to join." The Negation Demon shrugged, and then they heard Ahtal’s joke.
"Then you can be a witch too."
"Forget about it, I’m quite satisfied with being a demon." The Negation Demon laughed, not interested in becoming a witch, although there was nothing wrong with it.
"Follow me." The Witch of the Moon turned around, leading everyone away towards the Demon Castle, even though there would be no effect on their conversation here.
However, since this was such an important occasion, it was more appropriate to converse in an environment with a cup of tea.
A while later.
Demon Castle.
Inside the workshop of the Witch of the Moon.
Several cups of steaming coffee were placed on the table.
"Ahtal, what do you want to talk about?" The Witch of the Moon picked up the coffee, elegantly took a sip, and her silver eyes reflected Ahtal’s figure.
"What’s the point of asking me?" Xi Mu smiled, looking down at the carved patterns in his coffee cup, as if he were just an irrelevant participant.
In response, the Witch of the Moon shook her head, "Your teacher has shown no interest in communicating with us; she’s just here to protect you, her disciple."
With her perspective as a witch, she easily deduced the situation; the Destiny Witch had shown little interest in communicating with them.
The real initiator of the partnership was Ahtal, so it was easy to conclude that Ahtal sought their cooperation.
And this cooperation might not be for ... the Witch of Death.
But for himself.
"You truly are a witch, quickly grasping the key point." Ahtal revealed a gentle smile, but to the white-haired lolita next to him, it looked like the evil grin of a conspirator aiming to overturn the world.
