After Reborn, I Became the Bigshots' Beloved-Chapter 7 - : It was Bai Qiang who asked me to look for you.
Chapter 7: Chapter 7: It was Bai Qiang who asked me to look for you.
After picking out the dresses for Lu Sheng, Jiang Ting and Lu Qianrou were led elsewhere by Xiao Li, to find the two expert makeup artists.
Another staff member approached Lu Sheng, looking somewhat apologetic, "Miss, our regular stylists each have several clients to attend to. At the earliest, it will be about two and a half hours before it's your turn. What do you think..."
"It's alright, I'll wait," Lu Sheng shrugged nonchalantly, found a sofa to sit on, and casually picked up a magazine from the table to flip through.
The first page of the magazine was an exclusive interview with Ellison.
Ellison rarely made public appearances, but ever since he was caught on camera while styling a celebrity, the shot overshadowing the male celebrity's face made him an instant hit online, even more popular than some idols.
Ellison didn't do many interviews either, so this was one of his few interviews.
One of the questions the Journalist asked was whether Ellison, now twenty-five, had any plans of getting a girlfriend. Ellison answered directly that he already had someone he liked.
The Journalist was surprised and asked which girl was so lucky to be liked by him. Ellison's reply was that he was the lucky one for having met that girl.
She was the firework that chased away the cold and the dark for him, the guiding light when he was lost, the most unique and dazzling rose that grew out of the vast soil.
To be precise, it wasn't just liking in a superficial sense; he admired her, revered her, had a crush on her and harbored secret feelings.
When this report came out, it left many of his fans heartbroken.
Lu Sheng closed the magazine.
About two hours later, Lu Sheng was still sitting on the sofa, but Jiang Ting and Lu Qianrou were already done with their styling.

Jiang Ting was dressed with luxurious elegance, while Lu Qianrou fully embodied the style of a rich heiress.
Her dense, black, seaweed-like curls tumbled over her small, rounded shoulders, and a flower-shaped headband embedded with eye-catching bright rhinestones.
Her skin was white as cream, she wore a white bubble dress with a flared hem, and her cheeks were painted with soft pink blusher, looking sweet and delicate.
"Ah," Lu Qianrou, upon seeing Lu Sheng on the sofa, feigned surprise, "Sister, haven't you gotten your turn yet? It's already been over two hours, right?"
"Yeah," Lu Sheng replied with an unchanged expression, smiling gently at Lu Qianrou, "The staff said I have to wait a little longer."
"In that case, you should just keep waiting here. After all, such things can't be rushed."
"There's still over two hours before the banquet, mom and I are going to get our nails done," Lu Qianrou said, "Later, sister can just take a taxi to the banquet venue. You can manage on your own, right?"
"No problem," Lu Sheng's smile remained unchanged, "Mom and sister can rest assured, although there are no taxis in the countryside, I still know how to hail a cab."
Lu Qianrou left contentedly with Jiang Ting.
Who knows when this Lu Sheng would get her turn—if she would arrive not only in a hideous, outdated dress but also with hasty makeup due to the time crunch. It would be strange if she didn't get laughed at tonight.
Watching the two figures disappear from sight, Lu Sheng picked up a pen and paper left on the table for customers to leave feedback and quickly wrote a line of text before signaling a staff member over.
"What can I do for you, guest?" The girl looked like she had just graduated from college and was a bit flustered to be called over suddenly.
"I'm wondering if Ellison is at the studio today?" As Lu Sheng asked.
"Our Director comes to the studio every day and stays in the office until late at night," the girl replied.
"Could you help me deliver something to him?" Lu Sheng passed the folded note in her hand.
"Ah, that's not possible, guest," the girl responded hastily, waving her hands, "Our studio has rules that without the Director's permission, no one can disturb him in his office..."
"I'm a friend of your Director," Lu Sheng said, "Trust me, he won't think of this as a disturbance if you hand this over to him."
"This..." The girl hesitated, giving Lu Sheng a look—was this young girl even of age? How could she possibly be friends with the Director? Could she be some fanatical little fan of the Director, trying to give her contact information to him? However, those who came to Crystal for styling were all wealthy or distinguished, and while this girl looked simply dressed, she might actually have some connection with the Director.
"Just delivering this to him will do," Lu Sheng added, "I'll remember your kindness."
This girl, named Chen Ya, thought for a moment and then took the note with determination: "Please wait here for me."
Disturbing the Director might at worst result in a scolding from the manager. But if she could earn the favor of a rich young lady, who knew what unexpected rewards might come of it?
Chen Ya took the note and headed towards the studio interior. Her hands were shaking as she knocked on the office door, only to hear a cold voice from inside: "Come in."
"Di-Director, hello." Chen Ya entered and took a deep breath, speaking nervously.
Ellison looked up, his expressionless face suddenly shifted to pure coldness, "What is it?"
"It's like this, Director. A guest outside claimed to be your friend and asked me to give you this note," Chen Ya spoke, advancing to place the note on the table.
To be cautious, Chen Ya had actually sneaked a peek at the content of the note beforehand. It wasn't contact information or any kind of prank, just a line of English poetry.
[In me the tiger sniffs the rose.]
Chen Ya, majoring in literature in college, knew this was a classic line from a poem in "For Me, Past, Present, and Future" by the British poet Siegfried Sassoon, which in Chinese means "With a fierce heart, gently I sniff the rose."
She had thought that the Director might genuinely know the girl outside, but she never expected the Director to suddenly stand up in shock, staring at the note and asking with eyes wide open, "Who gave you this note? Where is she now?"
"It was... the guest outside, she's currently in the waiting area outside the apparel section," Chen Ya answered, startled by the Director's reaction and stumbled with her words.
"Bring her to me, no, I'll go out to find her." Before Ellison could finish his sentence, he was already leaving the desk, leaving Chen Ya alone, dumbfounded.
[Waiting Area]
Lu Sheng sat on the sofa, watching the seconds tick by on the wall clock.
The next second, she heard a trembling voice from behind her: "Sister, you..."
Turning her head, Lu Sheng and the slim, handsome, and cool-featured man faced each other.
Seeing that the young girl in front of him was not who he had imagined, the excitement in Gu Zhi's eyes subsided.
"...Who are you? Why did you write this line of poetry for someone to give me?" Gu Zhi inhaled deeply, looking at Lu Sheng.
"Hello Brother Ellison, I'm Lu Sheng," Lu Sheng said with a light smile, "Sister Bai Qiang sent me to find you."
