After Marrying Him, the Ending Has Changed-Chapter 875: Give a Brother a Hint
"Little Lamb, you finally came down. If you were any later, I’d have to go up and grab you," Yu Cheng teased as he saw her coming downstairs.
"Brother Yu, that’s such an exaggeration. I was only up there for, hmm, less than three hours," Jiang Mianmian calculated the time and felt a bit guilty.
"You know how long you were up there, right? Don’t do that next time. Even if you’re doing research, you should come out and relax occasionally, or you won’t grow taller," Yu Cheng tried to scare her, knowing she was worried about her height.
"No way! As long as I eat well and sleep well, I’ll definitely grow taller. Look at my parents, they’re both tall. I’ll definitely grow tall too," Jiang Mianmian retorted immediately.
After chatting and joking in the living room for a while, Elder Yu came back from the command department after work.
During dinner, when Jiang Mianmian didn’t see Yu Rou, she asked in puzzlement, "Brother Yu, why hasn’t Sister Yu come back?"
"Oh, my sister had something to do in the afternoon and she might not be back for the next couple of days," Yu Cheng explained.
"Oh," Jiang Mianmian felt a bit disappointed upon hearing that. She had planned a surprise for Sister Yu, but it seemed she would have to wait until her return.
"What’s the matter, Little Lamb? Did you have something for my sister?" Yu Cheng asked with concern, noticing her disappointment.
"Ah, not really, it’s just that the gift I prepared might have to wait until Sister comes back," Jiang Mianmian explained.
"No worries, she’ll be back in a few days, you can give it to her anytime," Yu Cheng couldn’t resist smiling at her childishness.
After dinner, Jiang Mianmian sat with Grandpa Yu downstairs for a bit, then went upstairs to continue her unfinished project.
After working for another half an hour, she finally completed the solar-powered fan. Too bad it was nighttime, so she couldn’t test how strong the wind was. But it didn’t matter; anyway, it was late, and she could test it tomorrow before giving it to Grandpa Yu.
The next morning, after Jiang Mianmian tested the solar-powered fan and found no issues, she eagerly started calling Cheng An and Tang Lin to come over to the Yu Family’s home, saying she had something good for them.
Cheng An, being the most gullible, was the first to arrive after taking the call.
"Mianmian, I’m here. What’s the good stuff? Come on, show me," Cheng An said as he looked around the room.
"It’s something you’ve never seen before, but Brother Cheng An, wait a minute for Brother Tang Lin and Brother Xu Sheng to arrive, then I’ll show you," Jiang Mianmian said mysteriously.
Cheng An, feeling a bit anxious, looked at Yu Cheng, who was calmly sitting on the sofa, and went over to probe, "Boss Yu, do you know anything? Give your brother a hint."
"I don’t know either, Mianmian didn’t tell me," Yu Cheng replied honestly.
Cheng An felt a bit disappointed upon hearing that.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, just when Cheng An was about to go out and drag people over, the others leisurely arrived.
"Mianmian, they’re here. Quickly, bring out that good stuff," Cheng An gestured with an upward palm and crooked his finger at Jiang Mianmian.
"Okay, Brother Cheng An, wait a moment," Jiang Mianmian said as she ran upstairs to retrieve the sun hats she had made.
Cheng An’s eyes followed Jiang Mianmian, and when he saw her bringing down some ordinary hats, he exaggeratedly said in mock disappointment, "Mianmian, really? The good stuff you mentioned is just these hats?"
