She glanced around, even checking the surveillance footage from the past week. She only saw the fake chef coming and going but didn’t see the real person. Zheng Yu reviewed all the footage from that day, and his fingers suddenly paused at one point.

After a moment, he whispered, "It’s probably here."

He pointed at the screen, zooming in on a specific area. It was... a high-pressure furnace?

As they realized something, their eyes were drawn to the ash falling from inside. Zhouzhou couldn’t help but swallow, her voice trembling, "You mean... the person is inside?"

"There’s no other possibility. This chef’s last direction was towards this area, and he never came out after that," Zheng Yu explained.

The high-pressure furnace, originally meant for laboratory use, had now turned into a place for him to dispose of bodies. The real person’s remains were gone, replaced by a robot. The whole process was carried out without anyone noticing.

Zhouzhou inhaled sharply, her fists clenching. "He’s no longer human!"

How could someone be so cruel? Did he have no respect for life? No matter how lifelike the robots were, they were still not human.

Given their style of operation, their goal couldn’t possibly be just making a chef robot to cook for them. They must be planning something much bigger. What if they kidnapped a real person and replaced them with a fake one? If no one noticed, this could be hidden forever.

If this continues, what will the world become?

Zhouzhou couldn’t bear to think further. The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to tear Luke apart.

Was this what he wanted? The extinction of humanity?

Ye Lingfeng’s face also darkened. His expression remained impassive as he said, "A Country has always been like this."

To them, ordinary people were not even considered human. They only cared about their own interests. With robots replacing ordinary people, work efficiency was higher, and the robots were obedient—what a great deal for them.

He sneered, his eyes filled with disdain as he stared at the high-pressure furnace. "Since he likes it so much, let him experience it for himself."

This statement received unanimous approval from everyone. Luke was inhuman! They wouldn’t show him any mercy.

Zheng Yu reviewed all the surveillance footage again and found three similar cases. These were all lower-ranking individuals.

But so what? Ordinary people were still people. Should they just let them be tortured and killed? There was no reason for this!

The more Zhouzhou looked at the footage, the angrier she became. "If he doesn’t come out tomorrow, I’ll throw him into the furnace myself!"

It was simple enough to replace the fake, and it wasn’t a loss if the real one disappeared.

Her voice carried an emotional edge, but no one disagreed. They felt the same. Scum like that didn’t deserve to breathe another breath on this earth.

They should have disappeared a long time ago.

After reviewing all the surveillance and confirming that no one else had been replaced, they shifted their focus.

"Zheng Yu," Ye Lingfeng said, "Keep an eye on him. There can’t be any mistakes tomorrow."

"Yes." Zheng Yu nodded, his eyes fixed on the screen, not leaving it for a moment. This time, they had to deal with him once and for all! If he managed to escape under their noses, he’d change his surname to Luke’s!

Zhouzhou and the others waited, their thoughts focused on the mission at hand.

Meanwhile, Qin Lie and the others were on a separate path. As soon as he landed, he went straight to the Qin Group’s branch in A Country. Shao Yang was there to meet him.

When Shao Yang saw him, his eyes shone with excitement. "Mr. Qin, you’ve come!"

Though Shao Yang was older than Qin Lie, his gaze held an almost idolizing respect. To Shao Yang, Qin Lie was his benefactor.

Without him, there would be no Shao Yang today.

Qin Lie looked at him and gave a slight nod, patting him on the shoulder. "You did well with the previous matter," he said.

He was referring to Zhouzhou’s affair.

Shao Yang grinned broadly. "It was nothing. It’s all part of my job," he said humbly. Besides, Miss Qin had rewarded him generously for his efforts.

Without lingering on the topic, Qin Lie asked, "Have you prepared everything I asked for?"

Shao Yang nodded. "Everything’s ready. But Mr. Qin..."

He hesitated, then continued, "Are you sure you want to go through with this? If we do, A Country could descend into chaos."

Those in business usually preferred a peaceful situation.

Qin Lie, however, replied with a chilling tone. "That’s exactly what I want—let them get chaotic."

How dare they bully his daughter? They were looking for death!

If he didn’t make them suffer for decades, he wouldn’t be worthy of the Qin surname!

Shao Yang was somewhat puzzled by the intensity of his anger. Who had the audacity to provoke Mr. Qin to such an extent?

After a moment, it dawned on him. If Qin Lie was this angry, it could only mean one thing.

The one in trouble was Zhouzhou.

He shook his head. How blind could they be? Didn’t they know the saying, "Never offend Mr. Qin, but never provoke his daughter"?

If they offended Mr. Qin, he might not get even, but if they provoked Zhouzhou, they were digging their own graves!

Shao Yang was left wondering what exactly they had done. What had they done to earn such wrath from Mr. Qin?

In the past, whatever they had done didn’t matter. Now, they should just brace for impact.

The next day, Luke’s schedule appeared to be unchanged. With his bodyguards around him, he left his residence.

However, there was a slight change in his plans. Originally, he was headed to a research institute for a meeting, but halfway there, the vehicle diverted to a university instead.

Zheng Yu immediately relayed the change in his route to the others, his brow furrowed. "There are too many people at the university, and the students are all gathered in one place. Once his lecture is over, he’ll leave. He won’t be acting alone. This might make it harder to handle him."

The others shared his concern. Luke was clever indeed!

Zhouzhou stroked her chin thoughtfully. "What if I sneak into the school?"

If Luke was using the crowd as cover, they could do the same.

Ye Lingfeng thought for a moment before making a decision. "Fine, you go. Be careful, we’ll coordinate with you."

"Don’t worry." Zhouzhou gave him a playful look. "It’s like I’m just enjoying a little pre-college life."

With that, she jumped into her room, changed into a new outfit, and came out with a fresh disguise. She had cut her bangs and looked much more innocent and cute.

Of course, her face was the same as that of a female assassin from R Country.

They were going to make all the dirty work fall on their shoulders.

Sighing, Zhouzhou shook her head. If it weren’t for the fear of A Country making a move, she wouldn’t have been willing to let them take the credit.

After a soft sigh, she called a taxi and headed toward the university.

By the time she arrived, Luke had just arrived as well. The surrounding students were ecstatic, especially the female ones.

Luke was still quite young—just over thirty—and his accomplishments were remarkable. He was practically an idol to them.

Many of the female students couldn’t hide their excitement as they looked at him.

Zhouzhou noticed this, and her eyes flashed. An idea formed in her mind.

She joined the crowd, pushed her way through, then pretended to trip. She threw herself forward, flailing her arms, her face a picture of panic.

"Ahhh—"
