Shao Yang was speechless.

Leaning against the doorway, Li Ruoshui pressed a hand to her forehead. She figured that since things had already come to this, she might as well use the opportunity to make things clear with Shao Yang. It would stop this self-righteous, infatuated man from pestering her any longer. She had been thoroughly exasperated by him for years. "And you," he added, turning back to Shen Fanyun, "you're not allowed to leave! Let me warn you, you're not going anywhere without my permission!" He had refocused his attention. If this guy dared to try anything funny or attempt to slip away, he, Shao Yang, had plenty of ways to track him down and teach him a lesson about disobedience.

"Leave? Why would I leave?" Shen Fanyun said, nonchalantly sitting down on Li Ruoshui's bed. He watched Shao Yang with a smirk. "I haven't done anything morally depraved, so why should I go? Shouldn't you be the one to leave? You barge in and disrupt my intimate time with Ruoshui, and yet you have the audacity to warn me. What exactly are you warning me about?"

Shen Fanyun raised an eyebrow, a humorless smile playing on his lips as he stared at the man standing just a few feet away.

Hearing this, Shen Fanyun laughed. "Where's the moral depravity?"

"In broad daylight, you sneak into a young woman's room! Isn't that shameless? Isn't that a moral issue?" Shao Yang glared at him.

"I invited him in," Li Ruoshui explained.

"Shut your mouth," Shao Yang snapped at her. Perhaps realizing his tone was too harsh for the woman he loved, he paused and softened his voice. "Don't interrupt while I'm interrogating him. I believe you were forced. Don't worry, I'm here now. I'll protect you today!"

Li Ruoshui and Shen Fanyun exchanged a look. Is there something wrong with this guy's head? What is all this nonsense he's spouting?

"Speak. Who are you, and where do you live?" Shao Yang refocused his attention on Shen Fanyun. "You came to Ruoshui's dorm uninvited. Are you harboring ulterior motives?"

Shen Fanyun couldn't take it anymore. "Are you an idiot? Did you not understand? Ruoshui was the one who invited me in."

Shao Yang stared blankly.

"Impossible. You must have snuck in," he insisted. "Ruoshui would never be so casual. Besides me, she would never get this close to another man. And if she really did bring you here, wouldn't she be afraid of hurting my feelings? All signs point to you trespassing! I'm the man she cares about most in this world. She would never do anything to hurt me!"

Refusing to give up, Shao Yang took advantage of Li Ruoshui's momentary stun and reached out to grab her wrist. Luckily, she reacted quickly and pulled her arm away.
