After Being Betrayed I Married the Glamorous CEO-Chapter 282 - 280: Isn’t There Anyone You Fear?!
Everyone’s hearts hammered in their chests. For a moment, they thought they were seeing things.
The man being publicly slapped by a stranger was Han Long’s only son, the undisputed top scion of Hangcheng City. Two slaps, and his face was nearly ruined.
If I remember correctly, isn’t he getting married soon? How can he get married after being beaten to a pulp like this? Is he going to show up to his own wedding with a face swollen like a pig’s head in front of all the guests? The Han Family will be so humiliated they’ll become the laughingstock of the entire city.
Shen Fanyun’s blows were truly ruthless, aimed squarely for the face with no regard for Han Feng’s dignity. They weren’t meant to kill, but purely to torment and humiliate.
Han Feng shuddered violently with pain, barely able to stay on his feet. The last time, Shen Fanyun had sent him to the hospital with a single kick. Though painful, it had been swift, leaving him little time to truly feel it. This time, however, was a genuine death by a thousand cuts—both agonizing and torturous.
SMACK!
"No grudge?" Shen Fanyun sneered, tilting his head. His eyes glittered as he stared fixedly at the nearby Han Feng.
An incredible sense of dread washed over Han Feng.
Ever since I learned of Shen Fanyun’s return to Hangcheng City, I’ve treated him with contempt, believing I could crush him with a single word. I have never taken Shen Fanyun seriously—not in the past, not now, and not ever. In my eyes, he’s nothing but dogshit, a pile of mud; even glancing at him is an insult. In the past, I could bring my father in, and with just a few words, force Shen Fanyun to tuck his tail between his legs and get the hell out of Hangcheng City. I can still do that now. To put it bluntly, in our own territory, the Han Family is the undisputed king, capable of summoning the wind and rain, holding the power of life and death. We can truly get anything done with just a word. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
However, Han Feng was starting to feel bewildered. He, a high-status local scion who was used to being arrogant and commanding, a man for whom everyone would respectfully make way, was now being beaten like a dead dog by Shen Fanyun. He was completely defenseless. Even with a group of his subordinates present, they all seemed stupefied, not one of them daring to intervene.
"Really no grudge?" Shen Fanyun pressed.
After a long while, Han Feng, who had been gritting his teeth, finally spoke. "Th-that was a long, long time ago. Besides, we were just kids then; we didn’t know any better. It didn’t cause any serious harm, either. Don’t tell me you’re so petty that you’d hold a grudge over such a trivial matter for all these years? For a grown man, isn’t that... a bit too small-minded?"
The implication was clear: he was accusing Shen Fanyun of being narrow-minded and ungenerous, of nitpicking over a minor issue and holding a grudge for years, of being relentless despite being in the right.
"A minor matter?" Shen Fanyun tilted his head and slapped Han Feng across the face again.
Han Feng didn’t dare make a sound. He felt his teeth loosen as blood gushed from his mouth.
"A minor matter?"
Without warning, another powerful slap landed, making the esteemed young master’s head spin.
"A bad seed like you actually thinks this is a minor matter?" Shen Fanyun demanded. "Back then, my parents lost their jobs because of your family’s oppression. They almost became homeless in Hangcheng City, and you call that a minor matter?
"You dare call me narrow-minded for not forgetting after all these years?
"It’s easy to say it’s no big deal when you’re not the one who suffered, isn’t it?"
CRACK!
Shen Fanyun dislocated Han Feng’s arm on the spot. As he let go, Han Feng collapsed to the ground. A wave of immense panic washed over him, and a warm stream flowed from his body, soaking the floor. A foul stench immediately filled the air.
The onlookers were stunned. The great young master was so pathetic, completely unable to handle the pressure. He had wet himself in public.
Lu Shifeng stared blankly at the puddle on the floor, sucking in a sharp breath.
Something is seriously wrong with this situation. Han Feng is one of the top scions in Hangcheng City. When I ran into trouble, I sought Young Master Han’s help, assuming it would be a simple matter of a few words. Who in Hangcheng could possibly be his opponent? Han Feng is supposed to be untouchable here. But now, not only is my problem unsolved, but this top-tier heir has been scared into wetting his pants. He actually wet his pants! Was he really that scared? This is even more humiliating than being slapped in public. If word of this gets out, Han Feng will never be able to show his face again. The Han Family’s reputation will be completely ruined! Han Long has always been an incredibly proud and arrogant man who values his reputation above all else. His own son being beaten so badly he wets himself in public... Won’t Han Long go insane?
CRACK!
Shen Fanyun stepped forward and stomped, breaking Han Feng’s other arm. "Does it hurt?" he asked coldly.
With another stomp, Han Feng was sent rolling on the ground. Finally, the scion had no choice but to kowtow to Shen Fanyun. "I was wrong! I was truly wrong! It was my fault back then, I wronged you! I beg you, please spare my life!"
The crowd was speechless.
"How were you wrong?" Shen Fanyun asked.
"I was wrong to frame you, wrong to drag my family into it, and wrong to bully you just because my father was rich."
It had to be said, Han Feng remembered every detail perfectly. Shen Fanyun himself had almost forgotten that Han Feng had framed him back then.
"Shen Fanyun, we were classmates. I... I truly wronged you," Han Feng confessed, his tone sincere. "Honestly, for all these years, I’ve deeply regretted what I did back then."
Shen Fanyun had originally considered ending things once and for all by killing Han Feng right here. But on second thought, Han Long was the true culprit behind the original incident; Han Feng had just been a dispensable pawn. Killing him or not wouldn’t make much of a difference. I’ll let him live for now.
As Han Feng was sniffling and weeping, he perhaps sensed Shen Fanyun’s gaze shifting away and finally let out a quiet breath of relief.
The feeling of surviving a disaster! I truly feel as if I’ve just taken a stroll through the Ghost Gate and back.
"Now, it’s your turn." Shen Fanyun’s gaze fell upon Lu Shifeng.
Lu Shifeng’s face turned deathly pale. "You... what are you doing? I-I haven’t offended you, have I?"
Shen Fanyun stared at him with a humorless smile. "Whether you’ve offended me or not... don’t you know the answer to that in your own heart?"
Lu Shifeng was at a loss for words.
BOOM!
Shen Fanyun sent Lu Shifeng flying several meters with a single kick.
"I’ll... I’ll..." Lu Shifeng lay on the ground, unable to get up for a long time, muttering curses through a mix of humiliated rage and dawning fear.
What kind of monster is this guy? How can he be so fearless? Is there anyone at all that Shen Fanyun is afraid of?
