Chapter 175: Chapter 175: Grown-ups Are Talking, Children Should Keep Quiet!

"Is this kid crazy, or has he grown a spine of steel? Challenging Han Long... This is simply unheard of."

The onlookers, Han Long’s subordinates, his son Han Feng, known as Prince Long, and even the crowd of high-ranking officials fawning over him were all dumbstruck.

"Stop him," Han Feng roared furiously.

Zhang Hu and the other lackeys had no choice but to steel themselves and make a move.

Suddenly, Shen Fanyun turned around. In that instant, his eyes seemed to emit a dazzling golden light, as intense and blazing as the sun. Before Zhang Hu could even react, he was sent flying backward as a spray of blood burst through the air. Han Feng was stunned silent, and the crowd stood frozen in disbelief.

"If you don’t want to die, stand back," Shen Fanyun said with a smile, revealing a mouthful of bright, white teeth. For every step he took forward, the crowd retreated one. No one dared to stop him. No one dared to stand in his way.

Nearing Han Long’s vehicle, Shen Fanyun reached out and patted the roof of the Hangcheng City tycoon’s business vehicle. His intention was self-evident.

Han Long did not get out of the car immediately. After a four or five-minute wait, the prominent figure finally emerged after his entourage opened the door for him.

Though just past fifty and still in his prime, Han Long already had flecks of white at his temples. The beard he deliberately cultivated was as white as snow. Only his eyes remained sharp and penetrating, as if they could see through a person’s very soul. He stood nearly 1.9 meters tall, and his entire presence exuded an immense, overwhelming pressure.

Han Long’s gaze was sharp as he thoughtfully examined Shen Fanyun. From Han Feng’s hurried whispers, Han Long recognized the young man. More than a decade has passed, yet here this piece of trash is, hopping around in front of me again. What a pity. If I had been ruthless back then and chosen to nip this problem in the bud, I wouldn’t be facing this turmoil today. But it doesn’t matter. Trash will always be trash. A momentary spurt of courage won’t make any waves. I, Han Long, don’t take people like him seriously.

"Mr. Han, did your family build this road?" Shen Fanyun asked, playing dumb.

Han Feng was utterly confused.

With his hands clasped behind his back, Han Long gazed into the distance. Maintaining his composure, he replied coolly, "No."

"In that case, on what grounds do your subordinates block the road? Is it just because their boss is you, Han Long? So they can act with impunity?" Shen Fanyun questioned.

Han Long remained silent. Unable to contain his anger, Han Feng blurted out, "My father is a well-known entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to Hangcheng City. What’s wrong with blocking a road?"

SLAP!

Shen Fanyun’s hand whipped out, striking Han Feng across the face. The force of the blow sent Han Feng stumbling, and the red imprint of five fingers rapidly swelled on his cheek. "Adults are talking. Children should be quiet."

Han Feng was left speechless. The crowd was dumbfounded. Even Han Long’s eyelids twitched violently.

Han Feng clutched his face, feeling as if he were in a dream. What is happening? Did Shen Fanyun just slap me? In public, he slapped me, the renowned Prince Long? And he called me a child who isn’t fit to speak?!

"Mr. Han, please enlighten me. Do you have a permit to block the road?" Shen Fanyun asked with a smile.

Han Long’s gaze was glacial as he watched Shen Fanyun in silence.

"Without a permit, what’s all this pomp for? Don’t you know this disrupts the daily lives of citizens? For such an influential businessman, isn’t this behavior a little unbecoming?"

Han Long remained silent.

"Our grudge is personal, so let’s drop these irrelevant pretexts. What exactly do you want?" Han Long asked, looking down on Shen Fanyun.

"First, remove the roadblocks and act like a normal citizen," Shen Fanyun reminded him. "If you don’t have the clout of a top government official, you shouldn’t be putting on airs and disrupting public order."

Han Feng continued to glare at Shen Fanyun, his breathing growing rapid and ragged with resentment and fury. After a long moment of consideration, Han Long signaled to Zhang Hu. "Clear it."

Zhang Hu acknowledged the order. Though he knew full well Shen Fanyun was just using this as an excuse to make Han Long lose face, he had no choice but to comply. Besides, no one would dare to press Han Long on such a matter. If they did, they would find that Han Long was, in fact, disturbing the public order.

"My dear nephew, it has been over a decade. Not only are you alive and well, but it seems you’ve made something of yourself. Congratulations are in order," Han Long said with a smile that was not a smile.

Shen Fanyun nodded. "I have you to thank for it."

"In Hangcheng City, I, Han Long, still carry some weight. If you had just come back to live quietly, with my standing, I wouldn’t have bothered to make your life impossible. But since you decided to jump out on your own, it’s an entirely different matter."

"My dear nephew, you underestimate me and overestimate yourself. In Hangcheng... the person who dares to confront me head-on hasn’t been born yet," Han Long said, turning his head to face Shen Fanyun. "My dear nephew, we may be seeing a lot of each other in the future. The only question is for how long."

Shen Fanyun ran his fingers through his hair and stretched lazily. "I hear your esteemed son is getting married soon. I wonder if I might trouble you for an invitation?"

Han Feng was seething. "Are you insane? What gives you the guts to provoke the Han Family like this?" he gritted his teeth at his former classmate.

SLAP!

With another flick of his hand, Shen Fanyun struck the unprepared Han Feng, sending him flying several meters before he crashed heavily against a business vehicle. Before Han Feng could even struggle to his feet, he tasted sweetness in his throat, and a gush of crimson blood spurted out for all to see.

"I warned you. Little children shouldn’t interrupt," Shen Fanyun stated coolly. "It can be lethal."

A chill ran down everyone’s spine.

"You’ve all grown so used to throwing your weight around Hangcheng all these years," Shen Fanyun lamented. "You really think this is your turf, and as a result, your sense of danger has become terribly dull."

Han Long remained silent. If only I had traveled with better security today. If I had brought two of my supreme Martial Arts Masters with me, Shen Fanyun never would have gotten this close, and I wouldn’t have been forced into such a passive position. I wouldn’t have had to watch my own son get severely injured right before my eyes, unable to do a thing. In fact, my own safety is currently at risk.

Han Long couldn’t fathom what Shen Fanyun had experienced over the years to transform from a frail, ordinary teenager into a genuine Martial Arts Master.

"Your son won’t die just yet. You should hurry and get him to a hospital."

Naturally, Shen Fanyun had no desire to end Han Feng so easily. A slow torment was the only satisfying way.

Having said his piece, Shen Fanyun saw no reason to linger. "Mr. Han, just as you said, we will be seeing each other often in the future."

"Good," Han Long nodded, his expression unreadable.

In this sudden confrontation, he, Han Long, had been utterly defeated.

This newcomer did not come in peace.
