Chapter 41: Chapter 37: Every Shot Hits Its Mark

It’s daytime, but due to the structure of the building, the inside of the factory is very dark.

Ghost Hand led eight mercenaries through the factory, armed with rifles, fully equipped, cautiously observing the surroundings.

The communicator in Ghost Hand’s ear rang with a teammate’s voice: "Boss, there’s no one here, and the noise inside has disappeared for a long time. Could he have run out through another exit?"

Ghost Hand said in a deep voice, "It shouldn’t be that quick. Stay focused, don’t let your guard down."

The nine mercenaries continued to advance, searching for Su Mo’s traces.

Without warning, a sigh came from the darkness above them: "Ah."

Ghost Hand and his companions were startled, raising their guns to aim one after another.

Su Mo was sitting on a steel beam, looking down at them.

He said calmly, "What I despise most are you amateur mercenaries. If you’re not capable, accept lower-level commissions, work hard to make a living, why insist on scavenging behind others?"

Ghost Hand squinted at him: "Dog tag wearer, got the bounty?"

Su Mo: "Got it. So what?"

"Not bad, you’re quick. I was planning to pick you guys off when you both got badly hurt." Ghost Hand’s face showed a sinister smile, "Let’s make a deal, shall we?"

"You’re probably exhausted after fighting that guy, right? Now there are so many guns pointed at you, and there’s no cover above. We just need to pull the trigger to turn you into a sieve."

"But we’re all mercenaries, after all, we’ve met at least. Consider us friends. Give us half the bounty and we’ll make way for you, and no one has to get hurt. How about it?"

Su Mo chuckled, saying meaningfully, "Friends only help each other out, not extort money."

At this moment, the coarse, sinister laughter of Shattered Arm’s Treasure echoed from the darkness: "Oh~ Look at these insignificant humans, they’re just like a pile of worthless ants! Kill! Kill them all! I want to see rivers of blood! Hehehe—"

Ghost Hand and his companions were dumbfounded, they only saw Su Mo, where was this strange voice coming from?

Su Mo awkwardly covered his face.

If Shattered Arm’s Treasure had any flaw, it was that he talked way too much.

Su Mo quietly activated Shattered Arm’s Treasure’s tracking system, locking Ghost Hand and his companions into it.

For middlemen, the mercenaries’ strength is the main criterion for deciding whether to make contact.

Su Mo was worried that taking down a C-level wanted criminal wouldn’t be enough to prove his strength, but then Ghost Hand and his crew followed in.

In fact, there were many exits in the factory, and Su Mo could have left through another exit earlier.

But since these people insisted on coming to die, let their deaths become a show for the middlemen to see.

Seeing that Su Mo didn’t respond, Ghost Hand, fearing he was up to something, directly ordered, "Take him down!"

Shattered Arm’s Treasure had also completed the tracking, and Su Mo directly pulled the trigger.

Shattered Arm’s Treasure: "Taste daddy’s big bullets, you bastards!"

"Ratatatatatata—"

"Bang! Bang!"

The flames from the guns suddenly filled the factory, and bullets from both sides shot towards each other.

Su Mo had heavy armor on him, plus the Frenzy Corpse Blood Code Strong Bone Guard protecting his vital parts, standing in the line of fire with sparks flying off him, yet remaining unshakable like a fortress.

Ghost Hand and his team weren’t so lucky.

"Splurt!"

"Splurt!"

Two tracking bullets left fleeting trails in the air, piercing the heads of two mercenaries, who then fell into pools of blood.

"That accurate?!" Ghost Hand’s face changed, hastily calling his teammates, "This guy’s shooting skills are great, find cover!"

Seven mercenaries each found walls, columns, steel frames, and other cover, continuing to shoot at Su Mo.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Splurt!"

"Splurt!"

Two more sounds of heads being pierced, two mercenaries hiding behind columns fell straight into pools of blood.

Ghost Hand was in a state of shock, too afraid to peek out, could only stick his gun out of the cover: "Don’t expose yourself! Blind fire!"

Then, a terrified mercenary’s voice came through: "Boss, something’s wrong... Luke and Macken didn’t expose themselves... That guy’s bullets seem to..."

"Bang!"

"Splurt!"

The mercenary couldn’t finish his sentence. His head was cleanly shot through amid a spray of blood.

Ghost Hand’s heart went completely cold.

He could be sure this pair was hiding in Su Mo’s blind spot, there was no way they could be hit.

Even if a bullet penetrated the cover and hit him, it would be a direct hit, how could it hit from the side?!

Another mercenary shouted in fright, "Do his bullets have eyes?!"

As if to confirm what the mercenary said, with a "bang," a tracking bullet sharply veered in its path, circled past a stone pillar, directly penetrating that frail temple.

"Thud." That was the sixth corpse.

The rough, eerie laughter of Shattered Arm’s Treasure echoed in the darkness: "Oh yes, yes! I like that analogy, his bullets have eyes! Hehee! Tremble before me, foolish humans!"

Su Mo shouted angrily, "Shut up, you! Keep jabbering and everyone will think I have a split personality!"

With six companions dead instantly and hearing Su Mo talking to himself in two different voices, like a twisted lunatic, the remaining three mercenaries were scared out of their wits.

"I’m... I’m done fighting... Spare me!" Two mercenaries cried out and ran, so nervous they lost coordination, tripping constantly, almost crawling out on their hands and knees.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Their answer was two precisely aimed bullets to the head.

"Splurt!"

"Splurt!"

Two more bodies hit the ground.

Now, out of nine mercenaries, only Ghost Hand was left.

Ghost Hand’s face was as pale as paper, his legs shook uncontrollably, and a foul liquid dripped continuously from his pant legs.

"Don’t, don’t shoot... I surrender!!!" He raised his gun above his head, walked out from the cover, and knelt on the ground, trembling as he looked at the figure on the beam.

Su Mo whistled as he looked down at him: "Whoo~ What’s an Inner City person doing kneeling to a dog tag wearer? You look more like a dog than me right now."

"Bro... brother... I was wrong... I shouldn’t have messed with you..." Ghost Hand trembled all over, his voice tinged with sobs, "You know too, I’m just a garbage mercenary..."

"I can’t complete advanced commissions... With so many people to support... I had no choice but to try and scavenge... I really had no other option!"

Su Mo said calmly, "Being weak isn’t your fault. But knowing you’re weak and still gathering a group of scum, living off bullying those even weaker than you, that’s your fault."

"I can’t let you go. What if you turn around and try some trick to get back at me?"

"Tell you what, I’m kindhearted, Brother Su is. If you have any last words, tell me, and if I can manage it, I’ll help you out, let you die without regrets."

Ghost Hand broke down emotionally, kowtowing on the ground: "Brother! Spare me! I truly know I was wrong!!!"

Su Mo remained unmoved: "I’ll give you ten seconds, crying counts as time. Ten, nine—" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Ghost Hand cried and got up, stumbling and running towards the exit.

Su Mo: "Eight—Forget it, too lazy to count. One!"

"Bang!" A gunshot rang out, the bullet passed through Ghost Hand’s head, ending his life of tyranny.

Su Mo put away the gun and commented in the darkness: "Villains these days are all the same, only knowing to cry when they’re about to die."
