Affinity: Chaos-Chapter 1553 Alice's Breakthrough To The Sovereign Plane
Alice felt her strength soaring as she absorbed elemental essence from around the place. It was like she was being reborn, not just that, but her surroundings were soon covered by lightning. This was a sign of awakening her lightning domain.
She laughed in delight as she felt her new strength. The lightning domain was a bonus, and she also felt she would be able to awaken it with the help of the Seelie's essence.
A Seelie's essence truly is special, now she understood why most people wanted to kill her Seelie and take its essence. With just one Seelie's essence, she not only broke through a major realm, but she also awakened her lightning domain. This was a great benefit.
Boom!
Her aura exploded out, causing the rocks around her to shatter from the sheer pressure. She had successfully gone from the Peak of the Venerable Plane to the First stage of the Sovereign Plane.
She could tell that at the moment, she could easily fight against ten of her previous self. Now she understood why those guys ran away as they noticed she was already breaking through. Even an injured Sovereign is stronger than multiple Peak Venerables.
She couldn't help but pout, "I wanted to test out my new strength."
If those guys were still present, she would've attacked them. Not with the intention of killing them, but just to see how strong she has become. Of course, she hated those guys who were outside. She knew they were bandits who wanted to take advantage of the situation, so she might have killed them, but the young man and the other group would've been spared. After all, if not for the young man's hired group, there was no way she would've gotten the chance to take the treasure so easily.
She might've been able to get it, but she wasn't sure it would've been this easy.
'I should thank them.' She chuckled and looked at the entrance to the Forbidden Zone.
With her current strength, she didn't have much to fear inside this place. However, she felt it was a waste of time. She also needed to meet up with her friends, after all, they had a plan and she felt she was the only one left to get to the Sovereign Plane. She already knew of Grey and Klaus' breakthrough. She didn't know of Reynolds' breakthrough, but since Reynolds had a higher cultivation stage from their last encounter, she felt he would've broken through as well.
'I hope I'm not too late.' She thought to herself.
Grey and Klaus broke through over a month now or so. Given the gap in cultivation stage when they last saw, she was very fast. It's just that, being in the presence of those two freaks, she was scared they might've gotten to the Second stage of the Sovereign Plane by now.
She brought out her communication device and tried to reach out to the group to tell them of the news of her breakthrough and also the awakening of her lightning domain, and also asking where they could meet up.
….
Grey and the group were currently outside the Necromancer's hideout close to them. There were a few Sovereigns present who were in the First and Second stage, but with the strength of four overly powerful First stage Sovereigns, they didn't have anything to fear.
With the help of Grey's switch skill, they could instantly kill three or four Sovereigns at once as long as they were able to attack them instantly.
The trio along with Void could insta-kill any first stage Sovereign who doesn't have their guard up. And since these guys wouldn't sense them coming, there's no way they would be prepared for the attack, which means there's no way they can defend against the attack. At this rate, it would barely be a tough battle for the group.
In this hideout, there were eight Sovereigns, six were in the First stage and only two were in the Second stage. As long as they targeted the Second stage Sovereigns from the start and took them out, the rest would be made light work of. This was something they were confident in.
Just like the previous times, Grey used the man to convince two more people inside the Hall as he had a meeting with the Sovereigns.
Getting the two people to follow him was very easy, the thought of being rewarded for bringing information about Grey was too sweet to let slip away. So they gladly agreed to follow him inside and also claim credit for it. They felt the man was trying to gain favor from them since they were stronger than he is. Of course, that was how it looked from their end. Unknown to them, they were being used as a means of transportation for Grey and his friends.
They soon started to talk to the Sovereigns, and after Grey got the general idea of how everyone was seated and also passed it on to Klaus and the others, they switched places.
The bunny leader was in charge of killing off those who were teleported out. It naturally wasn't the one who did the killing, it had so many bunnies under it that could do the job.
The Rank Eight bunny it recently recruited was the one tasked with killing these people. Grey's puppet was naturally kept alive.
Inside the Hall.
….
Inside the Hall.
The Sovereigns were all excited at the thought of being able to capture Grey and were even preparing to move out when they noticed the figures of their subordinates change, before they could react, four powerful auras exploded and locked on to the two Second stage Sovereigns. Before they could react, they were instantly killed.
Grey used his mental attack this time, freezing both parties on the spot before letting Klaus, Reynolds, and Void deal the final blows.
Klaus and Reynolds quickly took the storage rings of the duo after they were killed.
The other six Sovereigns were shocked. The two Second stage Sovereigns were killed like chickens and they couldn't even put up a fight against these people. But sensing their auras, they knew they were only in the First stage of the Sovereign Plane.
"You little bastards!" One of the old men among the six yelled angrily and attacked, bringing out his puppet.
His puppet was a Second stage Sovereign, but its strength couldn't be compared to that of a Second stage Sovereign, but it was slightly better than that of a normal First stage Sovereign. However, to these guys whose strength were almost on the same level as a Second stage Sovereign, these puppets weren't a threat.
Grey didn't cut the link off immediately, rather, he waited patiently. He wanted all six to bring out their puppets so he could kill them all in one go. But to his surprise, he heard something that shocked him.
"Don't bring out your puppets! That's Grey Dawson!" One man screamed.
Grey was taken aback when he heard this, he didn't expect them to recognize him.
"How did you know?" He cut off the link of the man who already brought out his puppet as he asked.
Klaus killed the man as well as he looked at the man who identified Grey. It was almost as if they didn't just kill anyone. They acted so natural, even the other five Necromancers were shocked at the way the duo were in sync.
"Grey Dawson has a black cat, it's rumored that the cat is very powerful as well. Looks like it's true." The man squinted his eyes to look at Void.
"You gave away our identity." Klaus looked at Void.
Void felt like biting off Klaus' hand when he heard him blame him. It wasn't his fault he was popular.
"Hmm, since you already know it's me, I assume you already know you're going to die, right?" Grey didn't find this information surprising. He was always with Void and most people have come to know that he has a cat, it's just that very few people knew of Void's frightening strength since he rarely makes any moves.
"Haha, kid, if you think you can come to our territory and overpower us, then you must be foolish." The man laughed and nodded to the other four.
They chanted something and a Magical Beast appeared, this Beast was in the Mid stage of the Eighth Rank, but that was not all, it was dead. Its strength wouldn't be anything impressive, but the thing is, Grey didn't sense any link on it, yet the Magical Beast was charging in their direction.
Grey frowned and looked at the others, "I'll deal with this Beast, you guys should make sure they don't escape. We don't want the others to know we're coming."
He knew he wouldn't be able to fight on the same level as this Beast, but with his space element, he was sure he could at least deal some damage to it.
