Addiction to Temptation: His Mischievous Sweetheart Captivates Him-Chapter 305: Baby, Darling
Zane didn’t go too far; he let Natalie go as the sun fully rose.
Perhaps she sensed the man’s excitement because she was wearing his clothes, so Natalie didn’t change into her own clothes.
She put on Zane’s white shirt with denim shorts and a pair of little white shoes, exuding youthfulness.
She tied her hair into a high ponytail, turned in front of the mirror, and asked the man behind her.
"Does it look good?"
Zane was holding a camera, capturing every moment.
It was Natalie’s request.
"It looks good."
Natalie quite liked the outfit too, striking various poses and expressions in front of the camera. Zane was willing to be the stand, documenting her different sides.
The small town remained quiet even during the day.
Instead of driving, they chose to ride bicycles, with a spot decorated with flowers at the back.
Natalie sat on it, lifting her legs high like a child rediscovering innocence.
Zane wore a white tracksuit, sleeveless, revealing his toned arms. Natalie wrapped one arm around his waist and held the camera with the other.
"Babe, even though our God Thorne is great at driving, I think his cycling skills leave much to be desired. I should have given him a ride earlier."
Hearing this, Zane chuckled.
"Who was the one who broke their leg while cycling back then?"
Natalie pinched the man’s waist lightly.
"What do you know? I was just distracted, so you’d better ride carefully and not drop me."
Zane agreed with a smile.
"Of course, I certainly can’t drop my darling."
Natalie’s face flushed slightly, but in the sunlight, nothing showed.
Along the way, many of the town’s residents greeted them.
Children played by the roadside, women pruned the flowers in their gardens, and men climbed ladders to repair rooftops.
Stained glass windows carried everyone’s longing for life.
Zane, concerned that Natalie might not sit steadily, rode very slowly.
The weather here was great. After cycling for about half an hour, they arrived at the lake.
Natalie found a spot, set up the camera, and then left it alone. Although capturing moments was important, genuinely experiencing and enjoying was even more so.
The countryside town in Brythania was clean and tranquil, simple yet elegant, possessing the infinite charm and romance provided by nature.
And Lake Vesperia seemed particularly serene.
The sunlight reflected golden light on the lake’s surface, making everything appear magical, like a dreamy wonderland.
Instinctively, Natalie lightened her steps, stood still by the lakeside, stretched out her arms, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.
Peace of mind.
Zane stood not far from her and then sat down, taking out paper and pen.
He said his painting skills were innate, but he had only ever drawn cars and nothing else.
He wanted to see if his boasted talent could depict the Natalie in his heart.
Natalie turned around to see Zane holding a pen with one eye closed, focusing on her.
"Are you drawing me? Can I move?"
"Yes, you can do whatever you want to do."
Natalie raised her eyebrows slightly, sat opposite Zane, and also took out paper and pen.
She wanted to paint the Zane who was painting.
Thus, at the lakeside of Lake Vesperia appeared a scene of a couple sitting across from each other, drawing each other.
Natalie’s drawing time took longer than Zane’s, and soon, a focused Zane appeared on the paper. Natalie modified one part, changing the originally downcast gaze of Zane to one that was looking into her eyes.
After finishing, she walked behind Zane with her drawing. When Natalie saw the person on the paper, a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes.
Zane had drawn her standing by the lake with her arms open.
He had only glanced a few times, yet he managed to remember every detail of the scene clearly.
Natalie could tell from Zane’s rendering of people’s lines that they were a bit stiff, but his attentiveness compensated for it, with meticulous corrections fine-tuning every detail.
Natalie even felt like the person in the drawing looked more beautiful than herself.
When Zane put down his final stroke, Natalie couldn’t help but sigh.
"You draw so well. Is that how beautiful I am in your eyes?"
Zane smiled and looked up at her.
"You’re always the most beautiful to me."
Another sweet talk.
Natalie gradually became accustomed to Zane’s sweet talking, yet every time she heard it, she couldn’t help but feel happy inside.
She showed her drawing to the man, and Zane took it. When he saw the eyes drawn in the picture, his eyebrows moved slightly.
"Am I that affectionate in your eyes?"
Those endearing eyes, even people outside the drawing would be moved.
Natalie leaned over, hugged him from behind, rested her head on his shoulder, and reached for his hand.
"That’s how you look at me, I just painted it truthfully."
Who could know her heart was so touched every time she saw Zane’s eyes like that?
Indifferent and aloof to others, yet deeply affectionate towards her.
This was her exclusive Zane.
Zane bent his head and kissed her fingertip.
"Shall we walk around the lake?"
Natalie was just thinking the same.
Having stayed in the city for a long time, accustomed to its glitz and clamor, coming to such a tranquil place, one’s mindset changes along with nature.
Forgetting much, leaving only the two of them.
It was so beautiful. Seeing a little girl jumping around holding her parents’ hands, Natalie’s mouth unconsciously curved upward.
"Let’s come back once we have kids. I’m sure they’ll be delighted."
Kids.
This was another time Natalie mentioned it actively.
Zane subconsciously held her tighter.
"Do you like this house we’re staying in?"
"I like it."
"Then let’s buy it. Once we have kids, we can bring them over."
Natalie was stunned.
She didn’t expect Zane was really considering buying the house.
Well, that’s okay.
She really liked this little town.
"Sure, after we get back, let’s frame these two paintings and hang them in the house. When we bring the kids over, we can show them."
Zane laughed and kissed her cheek.
On the way back, Natalie suddenly thought of something.
"Once we have kids, what will you call me?"
Zane chuckled.
"Call you cutie?"
Natalie huffed, displeasedly pouting; she wasn’t very satisfied with Zane’s answer.
The man knew her reaction well.
"Then I’ll keep calling you darling."
Natalie wrinkled her nose.
"Then what about the baby?"
"Call them sweetheart."
Natalie tested both terms.
Probably thinking her child deserved a better title, after some consideration, Natalie said,
"How about you call the baby darling and me sweetheart?"
"..."
"Doesn’t that work?"
"Sure, sweetheart, anything for you."
Natalie: ...
Zane really knew how to go along!
Natalie raised her hand and pinched his earlobe.
Darling.
Sweetheart.
Hmm!
It seems like sweetheart sounds nice too!
