Addiction to Temptation: His Mischievous Sweetheart Captivates Him-Chapter 216: The Second Day of Pursuing Miss Vaughn
Natalie Vaughn noticed something different about Zane Thorne this time, and a faint sense of panic rose in her heart. She reached out, steadying herself against Zane’s shoulder.
"Wait a moment."
Zane caught Natalie’s hand and brought it to his mouth for a kiss.
"Baby, can’t wait."
As he spoke, Zane’s eyes suddenly turned dark, his breathing grew chaotic, and his breath became heavier.
Natalie wasn’t unwilling, she was just startled by Zane’s eagerness.
"I want to take a shower."
Zane held Natalie close, pressing her against himself, burying his head in the crook of her neck, kissing her shoulder repeatedly, even giving her a playful bite.
Natalie frowned in pain. Seeing Zane’s disregard, she had no choice but to say it coldly.
"You smell terrible!"
Predictably, Zane stopped immediately, and fortunately, the bathtub water was ready. He wrapped Natalie in his arms and carried her into the bathroom.
Natalie’s mouth tightened into a line, suddenly feeling a bit uneasy without knowing why.
Zane said nothing, fetched a bath bomb, and added a few flower petals into the tub. Natalie was surprised by the intense desire in his eyes, momentarily wondering why Zane had such things in Dragon’s Crest Villa.
Natalie tried to dodge, but the man was determined to help her bathe. The bathtub was only so big, where could she hide?
In the end, she tired herself out but still couldn’t escape Zane’s grasp. Zane washed not meticulously but hastily. How hasty? So hasty that Natalie thought she was mistreating Zane.
As Natalie just thought to say to let it be, the man suddenly leaned close.
"Dissatisfied?"
Zane cornered Natalie in the bathtub, biting gently on her rounded shoulder.
"Discontent won’t work. The more you evade, the more I’ll chase you. Nina, you can’t escape me."
Natalie’s eyelashes trembled slightly, her face flushed with Zane’s warm breath. Zane was clearly different from before; even when he was first awakened to intimacy, his expression wasn’t like this. Now, the deep passion and heat in Zane’s eyes made Natalie’s heart burn.
"Zane?"
"Hmm?"
"What’s going on?"
"Missed you, focus."
Zane kissed Natalie’s lips, sealing all her words.
The bathtub was too cramped for maneuvering, so Zane picked Natalie up, pressing her against the wall.
Cold behind her, scorching in front.
Zane’s hair must not have been trimmed for some time, just enough for Natalie to grab hold of as a venting point.
Whenever Zane bit her, she would pull a little harder. If Zane bit too energetically, she retaliated by tugging on his hair, causing him pain.
Steam swirled around in the bathroom, and after Zane fearfully might hurt Natalie’s back, he carried her back to the bedroom.
First on the bed, then the sofa, the carpet, and the bay window.
All the lights in the villa were on, allowing Zane to see everything on the second floor clearly. Outside was dark and lonely, vast and empty, as though only they had light in this expansive world.
At the moment, he looked at the races he had watched for over ten years, while Natalie’s cat-like voice accompanied, and the emotions built up since last night finally found an outlet.
He lowered his head, lifting Natalie’s sweat-soaked face, leaning closer to nibble her nose lightly, before lovingly kissing the corner of her lips.
He said, "I love you."
Natalie’s senses were hazy, hearing this, she merely lifted her eyelids to look at Zane, tears in her eyes, barely seeing the man’s blurred face.
Only those affectionate eyes were clear.
...
Natalie woke again when the sky was bright, even with the curtains closed, the sunlight streaming in felt harsh.
Natalie felt heavy, as if she had trained for seven or eight hours straight at a dojo, she was sore all over, unable to lift her limbs.
Arriving back at Dragon’s Crest Apartments, Natalie had already anticipated this outcome. She didn’t even have the inclination to struggle to get up, just lay sideways gazing out the window.
She suddenly thought, if she studied in Kensingport for a year, wouldn’t Zane kill her with exhaustion on the day she returned?
Thinking this, Natalie couldn’t help but curse.
"What are you cursing about now?"
From behind came the man’s voice. Natalie turned to see Zane holding freshly picked roses, dew still clinging to them.
Natalie was momentarily stunned, her eyes dazzled by the vibrant red.
Zane approached, placing the roses in a vase, asking softly.
"Do they look nice?"
Natalie blinked, reaching out, and Zane helped her sit up. Natalie leaned down to sniff, the scent was not heavy, just the right intensity for her.
Zane laughed, kissing the top of Natalie’s head.
"The second day of pursuing Miss Vaughn."
At this, Natalie rolled her eyes dramatically, pushing the roses into Zane’s arms.
"You’re talking about pursuing?"
The voice slightly agitated.
"It’s just the second day and you already coaxed me into bed. This is your way of pursuing someone?"
Speaking quickly out of anger, Natalie ended up choking herself. The man quickly patted her from behind.
"It’s been a month without seeing you, couldn’t help it."
Natalie glared at him again.
"Can’t you restrain yourself a bit?"
Zane chuckled, leaning close to Natalie, kissing her cheek.
"Baby is too beautiful, couldn’t help it."
"..."
Natalie hardly believed Zane’s sweet words, without mercy, she raised her hand to push Zane’s face away.
But due to lack of strength, her palm on Zane’s face had no deterrent effect. Zane didn’t even furrow his brow, just laughed, catching Natalie’s hand to kiss it several times. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Hungry? I made breakfast."
"What time is it?"
"Eleven."
Natalie: ... First person to have breakfast at eleven.
"You actually know how to make breakfast."
Zane laughed, putting a robe on Natalie, then lifting her up.
"I know a lot of things."
"Then why didn’t you make it for me last time?"
Zane: ...
Natalie was simply not pleased after being roughed up yesterday, wanting to blame Zane. Who could understand the frustration of someone praised for their stamina seeing themselves miserable while Zane stayed fresh as ever?
The more she thought, the angrier she got.
So Natalie began to don the demeanor of a lady and started bossing Zane around.
"I want milk."
"I don’t want it warm, I want it cold."
"My feet are a bit chilly, help me put on socks."
"I don’t want meat in this sandwich."
"I’m a bit tired, can’t lift my hand, feed me."
"..."
Zane knew he’d overdone it the night before, so he followed Natalie’s whims. The obedient demeanor was unheard of for Natalie.
Tsk, when did Zane become so compliant? Though their relationship had deepened, he’d never indulged her like this before.
Suddenly, a scene flashed in Natalie’s mind.
