Accidentally Mated To Four Alphas-Chapter 233: _ Unwanted Truth
"Did you guys really run across town like a pack of feral dogs to bail out Heidi?" She scrolls on her phone, eyes widening. "It’s all over the pack blogs. They’re calling it—hold on...’The Idiot Quadruplets’ Rescue Attempt.’ Everyone is criticizing you. That girl is bad to be seen around anyone of noble blood!"
Morgan scoffs. Isolde leans closer to Daphne, peeking at the screen. "They really said that?"
"Right here. And HELLO... are the comments saying she nearly killed Sierra?"
Luna Ines gasps. "Killed? Who brought that nonsense home?!"
Daphne points at Darien. "Not me. I saw the post."
"I trust my son," Luna Ines snaps. "He would never defy rules over a savage, violent girl. Whoever she is..."
"Actually..." Darien shakes his head. "Daphne is right."
The entire family goes still. Luna Ines turns so slowly it’s almost dramatic.
"What?"
Darien lifts a hand, his face serious. "We really did run out to get Heidi."
The stillness that follows is cut short when Grayson steps out of the car carrying her. Heidi’s half-embarrassed and half-dazed. Her cheek is pressed into Grayson’s shoulder, fingers curled weakly into his shirt. The sunlight hits her face, highlighting the exhaustion hollowing her features. Amias knows the entire conversation must have drifted into her ears since she’s a wolf.
The world of the female Bellamys/ freezes Luna Clarissa’s hand flies to her chest. Luna Rayne’s eyebrows shoot up. Daphne and Isolde gasp so loud it echoes. Lira’s smile falters.
And Luna Ines...
Her shock bursts into instant fury.
Darien steps forward. "Mother, before you jump to conclusions, Heidi isn’t violent. Sierra attacked her first. She was defending herself. She didn’t even..."
SLAP.
The sound cracks through the air like a snapped bone. Darien reels back, hand flying to his cheek as a red print blooms along his skin. Everyone stops breathing. Even Amias.
Luna Ines stands there, chest heaving, eyes blazing with betrayal and heartbreak tightly packaged into one deadly expression. Everyone knows how she’s trained her kids never to defy her.
She’s a totalitarian in the Bellamy mansion. It is now clear that her very obedient son would disobey her for the first time and abandon the values she instilled in him for twenty-three years over a Moon Blessed.
"That," she whispers, jabbing a furious finger at him, "is the first and last time you ever embarrass me like this."
Darien’s throat bobs. He doesn’t talk back. He just breathes, shaky and stunned.
"And you," Luna Ines growls, turning her head toward Heidi with slow precision.
Her glare is lethal. Full on villain mode with no subtlety or shame. "You stay away from my son if you at all, value your miserable life."
Her threat makes Amias’s fists curl into balls. He wants to interrupt and tell the woman to go threaten someone her size, but he knows his involvement would only make things harder for Heidi. As long as they aren’t trying to mistreat her just yet, he’ll hold it in.
This is why he had suggested that they lodge her in one of the hotels instead of bringing her to this cursed estate.
Grayson tightens his grip on Heidi as she flinches, shrinking into him. Morgan steps closer automatically. Amias shifts his weight to cover Heidi, instinctively blocking some of the line of sight.
But Luna Ines isn’t waiting for their reactions. She spins on her heel and storms into the house, heels hammering into the stone steps with the rage of someone ready to erase an entire bloodline. The door slams behind her and a heavy silence follows.
No one moves until Luna Clarissa breaks it.
She grabs Amias’s wrist and yanks him forward, face dark with outrage. "I told you to stay away from this girl. Now you’re associating with her in public? While your fiancée is here?"
Lira finally rushes forward, grabbing Amias’s other arm. "Amias, I was waiting for you. I was so worried. Are you okay? Did something happen? Why did you leave like that? Daphne told me everything. I had to disturb you with calls before you could even pick..."
Clarissa gestures at Heidi like she’s pointing at a rabid raccoon. "Look at her! She is trouble you don’t need. You have responsibilities. You have a noble wife waiting. You have a future planned."
A dozen voices start overlapping. Lira is pleading, Clarissa is scolding, Daphne is whispering theatrically, Morgan is snickering at Daphne, and Luna Rayne is sighing deeply as if she wants to retire from life altogether.
And Heidi just remains curled tighter into Grayson’s chest, trembling from the noise, the sunlight, the judgment, and everything. Amias watches her face as the family chaos detonates around them. Her breathing is shallow. Her fingers twitch. Her eyes are glazed and unfocused.
She doesn’t belong in this. Not like this. Not thrown into the center of a family storm with no warning. And yet... she’s the center of all of it.
She’s the beginning. The turning point. The prophecy. Amias feels the truth settle like a weight in his gut.
His brothers will fight for her. Their parents will fight against her. The pack will gossip about her. Enemies will target her. Every step she takes will shake something.
And Amias knows, deep down, that she will change everything. Whether she wants to or not. The storm hasn’t arrived. The storm IS HER and this is only the first thunderclap.
Rayne is the only one who looks like this whole scandal is the best entertainment she’s gotten since the twins broke the west-wing balcony wrestling over a donut.
She doesn’t bother hiding her grin. The moment Grayson helps Heidi down, Rayne practically launches herself across the driveway, dress swishing, bangles clinking, energy radiating like someone just handed her a baby dragon and said "Raise it."
She barrels straight into Morgan.
"Oh my beautiful chaotic boy... come here!" She crushes him in a hug before he can brace for impact. "You did it! You finally hit the jackpot!"
Morgan’s ribs wheeze audibly. "Ma... can’t breathe—"
Rayne pulls back, cupping his cheeks, eyes sparkling like this is Christmas, New Year’s, and mating season all in one. "I read it on the blogs! You were winking at people and telling them she’s your mate? I knew it. I knew one of my boys would catch the high aura Moon Blessed girl!"
Morgan lights up smugly. He opens his mouth. He has been waiting to bask in this moment like a cat sprawled in sunlight.
"Yes, actually, she is my..."
Jealousy hits Grayson and he doesn’t even hide it.
"She’s my mate too," he cuts in, stepping forward like someone shoving their brother out of the spotlight. "Obviously. Let’s not get confused here."
Morgan’s jaw drops. "Bro..."
Amias rubs his temple. Grayson again?
"That guy is dumb." Vark groans.
