Chapter 212: Chapter 199 Mr. Flexibility Big Brother

"Well done, Flexibility!" Andrey praised his brother in the resting room.

Lyle was quite satisfied with Flexibility’s performance, but still had a question.

"Flexibility, when you were charging on the ground earlier, couldn’t you have directly thrown spider silk to entangle your opponent? Why did it drag on for so long?"

——————————

"What a spectacular show! And there’s even more excitement to come!"

"Next up, also from the Necromancer Figure Club! He is an artist who sculpts beauty, a collector of living miracles! Colorful! Brilliant! Gracefully enchanting! Mr. Shiny!"

Mr. Flexibility was very dissatisfied with Mr. Shiny’s more exaggerated rhetoric.

"He dares to speak such words, true to someone with scales on his face."

Mr. Shiny, accompanied by his Spine Wheel, strutted out amidst the audience’s cheers. His scales were changing color like a dazzling carousel, which was quite beautiful.

His opponent brought along a plant magical beast, a rather large vine that has now spread through soil proliferation and taken over half of the arena. Those ground-crawling vines bent towards Mr. Shiny like venomous snakes, and if it wasn’t for the referee’s command, they would probably have already attacked.

Mr. Shiny looked at his opponent.

"I’m not Flexibility, who struggles for the sake of appearance and visual effects. And... aren’t you from the Magical Beast Breeding Society? Why is it that everything you breed lacks scales? Do you have a prejudice against reptiles? You damnable bigots, now you have one more detestable reason to lose. Let’s end this fight quickly; I still need to make money to buy more shiny things."

The match began!

The Spine Wheel began its move faster than the vines, falling to its side like a tumbling door, smacking toward Mr. Shiny’s head. A gap tore open in the flesh at the center of the Spine Wheel, enveloping Mr. Shiny within.

The Spine Wheel lay flat on the ground, forming a sturdy protective wall.

Of course, that wasn’t all.

Mr. Shiny listened to the sound of the vines striking the Spine Wheel, like drumbeats playing upon his soul.

He took one last look at his opponent through the Spine Wheel’s gaps.

"Spin, Strangling Wheel."

The Spine Wheel’s flanks ejected translucent scales that looked like glass, and flesh drove the bones to start spinning around Mr. Shiny. It was a gigantic meat grinder, though calling it a weeder now would be more apt.

The clamorous blade storm sliced through the surrounding plants. Within the storm, as long as Mr. Shiny stood unyielding as its eye.

The storm began to move.

With Mr. Shiny’s stepping movement, moving towards his opponent.

Very slowly, but with an increasing sense of deterrence.

The Spine Wheel was jetting out those fine scales, which, driven by the storm, formed another layer of blade storm. The storm was expanding, sparing no one.

"Mr. Shiny has shown us his invincible form from the very start! Think about it, friends, how will you confront this storm!"

"But remember, such power demands a greater consumption, and Mr. Shiny may not be able to persist for long!"

The Plant Manipulator dodged those flying scales, toughening the vine’s skin to contend with the powerful tearing force, while tiny but resilient roots simultaneously burrowed into the ground.

If a surface storm rages, then attack from below!

Perseverance pays off. A few limited roots managed to breach the Spine Wheel’s blockade, emerging near Mr. Shiny. The tips of the roots spun into a cone, stabbing towards Mr. Shiny.

Yet they grew weak half a meter before him.

"The Paphra Giant Lizard likes to prey on a small serpent called the Leaf Shiny Snake, which can burrow into a plant’s root system and flee rapidly through the vascular bundles. In order not to starve, the lizard evolved a type of scale that causes plants to wither and shrink. Scales are the symbol of life."

"All right, I truly can’t envelop the entire arena within my domain yet, so I also need to seek out my enemy."

"Thank you for my love of scales, because once my own scales would shed from time to time, I felt as if I was losing a fortune and had no choice but to develop a new spell."

Seeking Scales and Bones.

"My scales will automatically adhere to the nearest bones, and by now, you should be in a similar situation."

"Lucky for you your magical beast is the damned Plant Manipulator, so in this arena, the only ones with bones are you, me, and the Spine Wheel."

"I have found you."

Mr. Shiny’s palm was raised high, and the flesh strips that transmitted magic power to his body snapped one after another.

The storm began to tilt, and Mr. Shiny’s raised palm also started to be sliced by the storm, with shreds of fabric flying and bones deeply visible.

"Tear him apart! Typhoon!"

The Spine Wheel, like a collar, was thrown out with all Mr. Shiny’s strength, bringing with it the horrific storm, and together they ground the opponent into pieces.

——————————

In the rest area, Lyle was fixing Mr. Shiny’s detached hand, his right arm had come off in the end due to controlling the storm, and the magic within it was destroyed by the rampant power to the point it was in shambles.

"Your hand will need at least two days to recover, waiting for the magic circuits in your bones to mend."

"It’s alright, boss, I still have my scales." Mr. Shiny cobbled together a prosthetic limb out of his numerous complex scales, and surprisingly, it worked rather well.

The Manipulator hummed at the sight of him.

"Seeing how miserable you are, I won’t hold you accountable for your show-off behavior during the introduction."

Mr. Shiny made a gesture as if it were a serious matter.

"Yes, I’m now a patient who needs to rest. I’ll try to stay inactive for a while."

——————————

"Next up, we have the third gladiator from our Necromancer Figure Club. The Law-abider who doesn’t play by the rules! The genius beyond all expectations! Andrey, the rising star! He’s also the nurturing big brother to the previous two gladiators of the Necromancer Figure Club! Other than Mr. Plague Doctor, he’s the second greatest of the Necromancer Figure Club! Mr. Flexibility!"

Listened to the cheers from outside, Lyle worked hard to hold back his excited companions, with Nia also helping with her tentacles.

"Don’t get excited! Mr. Shiny, you’re an injured person who needs to rest!"

"To hell with Mr. Flexibility’s injured person, I want Flexibility to be the injured one right now!"

"Manipulator, don’t get agitated, victory is the most important thing!"

"No! Flexibility is just a little brother, I don’t want this victory, I want to take him down! I’ll take on the following opponents! I want to hear my big brother’s screams, and if they’re not loud enough, we’ll start over!"

In the end, Lyle didn’t let them out after all, because, after all, he wouldn’t be the one suffering the consequences.

Mr. Flexibility’s opponent was a silent towering figure who didn’t speak at first.

But looking at Mr. Flexibility’s constantly trembling shoulders, he couldn’t help but speak.

"Are you scared?" the opponent’s voice carried a chill.

"No, I am just happy. After all, one needs some amusement when someone dies."

The opponent didn’t understand Mr. Flexibility’s words.

Suddenly, with an upturned corner of his mouth and a belligerent tone, Mr. Flexibility said.

"You will be my amusement."
