Abyss Summoner-Chapter 199 - 196: Abyssal Blood War (3)
The canyon never sees sunlight throughout the year. It's filled with chilling black shadows and teeming with snake-like creatures. But unlike those found in the Human World, these snakes are markedly different, their skin oozing a sauce-like slime, coupled with their smooth bodies that send shivers down anyone's spine at a mere glance,
Emitting an oppressive and heavy aura of death, even the most mindless of cold-blooded creatures are on high alert, their nerves taut and ready.
There are some noises in the distance.
A group of monsters has taken over this place—Ghouls, Kobolds, Timid Demons, and even goblins, their numbers exceeding a thousand.
This is a ragtag bunch.
Among them are various creatures, some demons, and other dark entities.
The monsters are gathered, and in front of them large cauldrons are bubbling with mixed, unspeakable contents, including weeds, bark, and even a significant amount of corpse remnants.
These creatures gaze at the cauldrons before them, their drool reaching down to their chests. Without even knowing if the food is cooked, some demons reach into the pot to grab a random piece of carcass.
The demons place these chunks of flesh in their mouths, finding them to be the most delicious of foods. Crunching sounds, enough to make one's teeth hurt, resonate throughout the canyon.
In the very center of these creatures, lounged an unusual figure with a long snake tail but a human male upper body.
The face, however, was grotesquely distorted, covered in green snake scales across his cheeks and chest, enough to inspire revulsion at a mere glance.
This is a male Snake Demon.
The Snake Demon is a highly potential demon, one of the most terrifying combat machines in the Abyss. If it advances further, it will evolve into a Six-armed Serpent Demon.
During a Blood War, a Six-armed Serpent Demon gone berserk can destroy a thousand-troop Timid Demon legion thanks to its incredible arms.
The snake scales on the Snake Demon's body are akin to demon skin, equating to natural armor, with a tremendous defensive capability that keeps it often dominating in battles against enemies of the same rank.
This Snake Demon has coiled here for years, ruling over the entire canyon. All the low-ranking demons and dark creatures around are struggling to survive under its reign.
Beside the Snake Demon is an Enchanting Demon, slumped lazily at the tail's coil, her eyes exuding a languid allure like a glass of red wine, capable of making a man lose himself instantly in her presence.
Her curly wine-red hair drapes over her shoulders, with a blush of drunkenness on her cheeks, a high-bridged nose with a European flair, and vibrant red lips curled into a teasing line, a slender finger playing with a strand of hair.
Her clothing barely covers her form, and with just the motion of raising a leg, everything becomes entirely visible, as if the skirt is completely hollowed out, with nothing worn beneath to cover her modesty.
The hem outlines a perfect s-curve as her legs cross, her body leaning against the Snake Demon's tail, casting an intrigued gaze at a nearby Kobold, her eyes filled with a hazy allure.
Enchanting Demon.
In the Abyss, only Dark Elves can rival them. Their iconic traits include horns resembling a lamb's and a long whip-like tail.
They personify pure desire, born with an alluring power that no man can escape. As the rulers and queens of multiple tribes and kingdoms within the Bottomless Abyss, they often serve Demon Lords in roles such as teachers, advisors, or even lovers. Of course, their tactical brilliance drives many to seek positions as military generals or commanders.
Crucially, they are a group of ambitious beings. Strong Enchanting Demons serve no one; rather, they rule over greedy Demon Legions.
Unlike the slaughter-driven Demon Lords, working under an Enchanting Demon offers potential bonus benefits—even the lowliest goblin can aspire to become a confidant.
The face of the Kobold flushes red, its throat constantly swallowing, barely able to contain itself.
Kobolds are fond of wearing red-orange garments, with tails resembling rats and a language akin to barking puppies, often regarded as clowns.
Among dark creatures, both Kobolds and goblins are disliked for their base and greedy nature, wanting to own anything they fancy.
Just like now, upon glimpsing under the Enchanting Demon's translucent skirt, it's losing control, stepping forward, hoping to see more.
The Enchanting Demon makes no objection, instead winking playfully, intensifying the Kobold's hormones, its consciousness blurring as if drunk, stumbling forward.
"Snap!"
A cold glint flashed.
The Kobold's head was immediately chopped off.
The Snake Demon took action, with the Kobold trespassing its territory and paying the price. Casually picking it up, the Kobold's body plummeted into the cauldron, to the cheering of surrounding demons, who didn't even wait for its flesh to cook before rushing over to tear it apart.
The Enchanting Demon, on the other hand, viewed it all as a spectacle, her eyes squinting with laughter, licking with her tongue the freshly sprayed blood on the Snake Demon's tail.
Macabre.
The Abyss is like this daily—a chaotic assembly of deranged beings that not even deities can predict what will happen the next second.
The Snake Demon seemed to enjoy the treatment, closing its eyes, inserting the two curve swords in its hand into the ground, slowly savoring the service.
"In... on..."
At that moment, however, a piercing wail rang from above the canyon, resembling a dog's mournful howl echoing in all the monsters' ears.
The scout had met misfortune. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
The scouts outside are the face of the Demon army. If something happens to them, it heralds the coming of an enemy attack.
The Snake Demon instantly reacted, veins bulging on its neck like terrifying serpents, and it gripped the curve sword nearby.
Someone dared to attack it, choosing the base camp no less—an utter insult, only atonable with their blood and life.
"In..."
Harsh sounds escaped the Snake Demon's lips. In the next moment, the surrounding creatures responded to the call, grabbing their weapons, ready to face this sudden war...
