His arms were expanding with unnatural speed, metal threads weaving through his skin, turning his entire form into a mechanized titan.

The force of gravity grew heavier, but now, Ryuk's body had adapted—he felt himself rising instead of sinking.

It began to grow even darker, a stone of dense, obsidian-like texture, but tinged with the same crystal glow that pulsed in his chest.

The thought echoed in his head as his teeth grinded together, followed by an ear-deafening roar escaping his lungs.

The air itself began wavering around him, space destabilizing, as the gem floor at his feet fully caved into nothing, the ground ripping apart, and then, Ryuk himself began sinking in, but his body was also becoming unrecognizable...

The nanobots surface fully cracked completely, but then, it began revealing something else.

Something sleeker beneath the cracks.

A skin that was a seamless fusion of living nanotechnology and crystalline structure.

The pain was so massive that for a time Ryuk felt nothing at all.

All that he knew was he was bearing something difficult and hard, and after what seemed like an eternity, the torment finished!

His vision blurred, the weight too much to bear, but he didn't care.

With his body having fully adapted, he heaved up the rock before throwing it away into the distance, watching as it pierced through space with speed before disappearing as if it never existed, leaving just flashes of blue.

The sound of knees crashing into the ground.
