Li Luo's laughter reverberated in tandem with the booming thunder that filled Thunder Finger Peak, leaving an indelible mark of fear in everyone's minds as their expressions warped in disbelief. When they looked at the area beneath them, in that long, scorched furrow in the ground, they could see a miserable figure.

It truly was Zhou Jun.

Had the upper eighth-grade Zhou Jun truly lost in that cataclysmic clash?

This was a shocking display of battle prowess.

Complicated and dazed looks filled the crowd as they stared at the slender youth floating in the air with his blade in hand. A confident smile hung on his face, but his tyrannical aura and look of disdain had overwhelmed the group.

Fang Xingyun glanced at the pitiful Zhou Jun, and he couldn't help but feel delighted in someone else's misery. If someone as strong as the latter had suffered under Li Luo's hands, then his own loss to Li Luo was something worthy of praise.

Before everyone's watchful eyes, Zhou Jun gradually stood up from the charred and smoky hole in the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood. The blood contained remnants of the violet thunder energy that had struck him, burning the soil into a deathly black color. Zhou Jun's gaze was filled with fury and gloominess. He had underestimated Li Luo's counterattack.

He recognized that Li Luo's attack didn't only contain his own strength. More importantly, he had harnessed the Thunder Dragons' power against him!

The Thunder Dragons that he looked down upon had turned into veritable aid for Li Luo, bursting forth with incredible power.

"Very good. Li Luo!" Zhou Jun's depressed voice echoed throughout Thunder Finger Peak.

"You flatter me." Li Luo smiled as he closely observed the disheveled Zhou Jun. That said, he could sense that the latter's resonant power was not in turmoil, and he felt a little disappointed deep down.

Despite the fact that Zhou Jun had sustained a large injury, it wasn't to the point that his combat strength had been affected. Otherwise, he would have taken the opportunity to eliminate him there and then.

That was truly a pity...

Zhou Jun was the one who had led the contingent from the Mythical Spirit Ancient College to the Celestial Mirror Pagoda, so he undoubtedly had a robust foundation and ample experience. As a result, he wouldn't give Li Luo any further openings.

The Thunder Dragons' strength had been exhausted, so if Li Luo wanted to engage in a struggle with Zhou Jun, he would have to unveil his trump cards and engage in a proper fight.

However, this wasn't the right time to do this.

Everyone's main goal here was to obtain the opportunity at the peak.

Li Luo would find another time to deal with Zhou Jun.

"Zhou Jun, I'll accept this opportunity on your behalf. Thank you again for your precious gift." Li Luo grinned lightly before he turned, taking the lead to shoot up the mountain. Lu Qing'er, Li Hongyou, and the rest immediately followed. Additionally, Li Hongyou did not forget to shoot a Crimson Golden Seal at Li Luo, assisting him with recovery.

Zhou Jun watched them rush towards the Mirror Altar, his hands tightly clenched to the point that cracking sounds could be heard. In the end, he could only unwillingly unclench them.

After all, the violet thunder energy was still rampaging throughout his body, wreaking devastation in his internal organs. He needed to spend a period of time expunging it.

He would therefore lose the chance to contest for the prized opportunity.

When Zhou Jun's squad saw this, they could only sigh in disappointment. Without Zhou Jun in the lead, they had no confidence in dealing with Li Luo.

The rest of the squads understood that the opportunity everyone wished to obtain was pretty much in Li Luo's hands now.

This conclusion was a little unexpected. After all, even though Li Luo was a third-grade Transcendent, Zhou Jun was an upper eighth-grade Duke! He would be considered a top-class fighter even within a Heavenly Emperor power! But in the end, he was defeated.

Even though there were many other factors that led to this outcome, the end justified the means sometimes. They all understood that when the Celestial Mirror Pagoda trials ended, Li Luo's name would resound throughout all of the divine continents.

As the crowd sighed, Li Luo was already by the Mirror Altar at the peak.

The Mirror Altar was hundreds of feet tall and the entire stone structure was reflective like a clear mirror, capable of reflecting everyone and everything. It also had a series of steps leading to the top, where a ten-foot-tall large crystalline mirror stood.

Li Luo ascended the altar, finding himself right before the crystal mirror. It was then that he realized that the surface was rippling with water-like waves.

"Is this where the opportunity lies?" Li Luo asked curiously.

"It looks like if you touch it, you'll receive the opportunity destined for the first person to reach the peak," Chi Chan explained.

Li Luo then nodded and his gaze turned heated. No longer standing at the ceremony, he stretched his hand out, touching the surface of the mirror, feeling his consciousness sink into the object. A look of anticipation could be seen in his eyes.

Just what exactly was the opportunity that he had obtained?

......

Light Finger Peak

Just as Li Luo started contemplating the opportunity he had obtained, two people paused right before the Mirror Altar on Light Finger Peak.

Jiang Qing'e!

Diwu Mingxuan!

Far behind them, the other experts who had chosen Light Finger Peak were closely watching and had stopped in their tracks. They understood that with these two around, no one else was qualified to seize this opportunity. Their gazes fell upon Jiang Qing'e's beautiful figure. She looked as though she was perfectly sculpted, her white battle robes accentuating her curves and slender legs, revealing a breathtaking body. Most outstanding of all was her pure and sacred temperament. Just setting their eyes on her brought them a sense of shame.

Her immense charm caused even the likes of Diwu Mingxuan to show an undisguised look of appreciation. Only those who possessed an incredible affinity with light resonant power could clearly feel the charm and attraction exuded by her.

"Mentor Qing'e, it seems we have a chance to exchange blows," Diwu Mingxuan said indifferently.

Jiang Qing'e didn't look at him, her golden eyes instead glancing at the distant Thunder Finger Peak, which was wrapped with thunderclouds. She then turned towards the Mirror Altar and coolly replied, "How do you wish to compete?"

Diwu Mingxuan fell silent for a few breaths before saying, "Although I truly wish to have a real battle with you, we are only at the thirty-first layer right now. There is no need to reveal our aces."

Jiang Qing'e didn't reply, merely listening quietly.

"Thus, I have a suggestion. Are you interested in hearing me out, Mentor Qing'e?" Diwu Mingxuan smiled wryly.

"Speak." Jiang Qing'e's spoke as if every word was cherished, minimizing her response.

Whenever he heard her voice, Diwu Mingxuan couldn't help but to squint slightly. Hearing her clear voice was a form of pleasure in its own way; it was a pity she didn't want to speak. Diwu Mingxuan then stretched his hand out and a ball of light appeared on his palm, revealing a thick and sacred book. The object's surface emanated mighty light source origin fluctuations.

Even Jiang Qing'e's attention was attracted by it, and she looked at it with a hint of shock.

Seeing a different reaction out of her caused Diwu Mingxuan to smile, and he explained, "This is the Canon of Radiance. It was created for me by my teacher with source origin. Of course, this is just a copy given to me so that I can understand it and myself better everyday. Merely being in its presence has that effect. It has seven pages, and a Heart of Light is required to comprehend it. The deeper one's understanding of the light, the more pages they can read. Till today, I've only been able to flip through five pages. Mentor Qing'e, if you can flip to the sixth page, then I'll relinquish this opportunity to you and won't fight for it. What do you think?"

Jiang Qing'e's golden eyes were focused on the Canon of Radiance, and a bemused expression could be seen in her eyes. She indeed found Diwu Mingxuan's suggestion quite interesting.

"Using one's Heart of Light to flip the pages..."

She nodded. "Alright."

Jiang Qing'e then stretched out her slender hand, which resembled white jade. It was flowing with sacred light; it almost looked as though it was crafted out of the finest jade, giving off a sense of perfection.

Diwu Mingxuan nodded with a smirk. He raised his palm and the Canon of Radiance flew outwards, landing within Jiang Qing'e's hand.
