Above The Sky-Chapter 1748 - 342: Life Energy and Fighting Spirit Douqi
"I still remember he wanted to assassinate me but eventually gave up... He truly isn’t suited to be a pirate. There are too many in this world who aren’t doing what they were meant to do, instead becoming robbers, pirates, or even beggars."
Another more measured voice, likely from Yisen Gard, chimed in: "What exactly are Far Shore Island and Fiery Flame Land planning to do?"
"According to local accounts, a gigantic True Dragon shadow appeared over Atlantian, and that True Dragon... it made my heart slightly tremble, an inexplicable feeling of familiarity and closeness."
"I don’t know."
Ian’s voice was heavy: "Apparently, there is an enormous secret within the Atlantian Megalopolis. Damn it, Andor actually discovered something significant. You see, in his notes on ’Atlantian Megalopolis,’ he wrote that while taking care of the Crystal Dragon, he vaguely saw a massive dragon skeleton beyond the ’Forbidden Zone.’ The skeleton is part of the dragon claw rising from the sea surface; there is a huge True Dragon remains at the city’s base, holding a great secret."
"If we had discovered it long ago, Andor wouldn’t need to die."
Sigh.
A sigh escaped. The Little Crystal Dragon shook its head. Ian awoke from a hazy illusion, glancing suspiciously around him.
At this moment, everything was normal.
Andor hadn’t died, and the two Crystal Dragon bodies hadn’t been lost. Ian had known about Terra Dragon’s secret from the beginning, although he didn’t prevent Far Shore Island from obtaining the permissions they sought, Ian gained clues related to the Perpetual Motion Machine.
Not only that, the Atlantian Megalopolis hadn’t fallen either, and Andor’s manuscript had even expanded, allowing him time to write about Ian’s adventures.
All this...
"The memory of my ’former self’?"
Ian pondered inwardly: "Moreover, it seems to be from an earlier time; the domain wasn’t Silverpeak Domain but Harrison Port in the Southern Sea."
"The Crystal Dragon doesn’t appear to be an aggregate like Green Pupil, but a true hatchling and has grown large, unable to hide inside a cockpit like now. Judging by the voices, it should be at least the year 778, 9, a few years in the future."
"Furthermore, I was unaware of the Terra Dragon secret at that time—so my exploration of Terra Dragon started from Andor’s drawings."
For a moment, even Ian felt a bit wistful.
Andor noticed Ian suddenly paused and tried inquiring: "Boss?"
"You better finish your manuscripts, great artist; I’m quite interested in seeing them."
Ian shook his head in response.
Andor is a born artist, not only adept at writing but also bringing ’Crystal Dragon Sketch Collection’ vividly to life. He mastered various clairvoyance and drawing techniques without guidance, making it an artwork.
Sadly, growing up, he was a fisherman with no channels to advance, never even having the chance to handle a paintbrush—yet upon maturing, he became a pirate.
In this world, perhaps no one is an ’ordinary person’... Put in the right position, everyone can become an ’acclaimed success.’
"This is why I created Heart of Terra—only by collecting data from a young age, analyzing individual preferences and talents, can we arrange appropriate education for each."
Of course, Ian knew very well.
If education strictly followed one’s innate talents while ignoring personal opinions, it essentially treats individuals as commodities and laborers rather than educating.
Humans have the right to make mistakes and the right to pursue what they aren’t skilled at or inherently talented in.
This defines the essence of interests and ’passion.’
However, choice is choice; as a Lord, Ian must be prepared—since more people prefer to do what they are skilled at and can succeed in.
Moreover, clairvoyant abilities have enhanced again.
Ian tapped the Little Crystal Dragon’s head with his tail to soothe dizziness.
No wonder Embrace Light warned him, saying the Precognitive Interface easily leads to confusion between reality and future, causing illusions and madness.
The reason prophets act erratically is due to too much vision, everything they see is real, occasionally popping up; if immersed too deeply, one might truly fail to distinguish between reality and foresight, confusing future and present.
However, Ian didn’t have this issue, as seeing too much gives him clarity on what is real.
After ensuring Andor’s safety, Ian offered a few reminders and retracted his spirit.
Holy Mountain.
Ian, contemplating in his room, opened his eyes.
"Perpetual Motion Machine," he whispered, "Finally got the clues."
To summon and initiate the Perpetual Motion Machine, four permissions must converge.
Star God. Terra Dragon. Ancestral Dragon. Wisdom Life Vote.
Among them, Ian guessed he might already have half of the Star God permission—Rites of the Star Gods are reserved for Star God candidates, at least a juvenile Star God, giving some advantage.
Additionally, the Heavenfall Spaceship remains likely contain related devices used by Star Gods to control the Perpetual Motion Machine, and amid New Continent’s spaceship remnants lie Star God technology to be retrieved, which is partly why Ian wished to explore the New Continent.
Terra Dragon’s permission lies in its Spark, and has already been carried to the Imperial Capital by Inega II, now probably in Axel’s possession.
