A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods-Chapter 553: The Awakening of Leviathan [I]

The Dragon Knight is not sure about Elaina’s claims and he is unsure whether he should follow it or just totally ignore it. But considering that Elaina has a convincing story about the song and the fact that those two important things are present there and was found, there should be perhaps a reason it was left behind there.

In the end, even though the Dragon Knight is a bit skeptical on doing so, he decided to do it and make the missing part of the music. Despite not knowing much about the music of the elves, he does know the music of dragons and like the music that was made by the elf, his music is also playable with the Harmonica.

As a result, the Dragon Knight decided to borrow the Harmonica from Elaina to create a music that can accompamy and blend together with the song Miraiya created.

For Elaina, that is alright and that is all there is. However, she still has no idea what would happen next after this development. Will she get the answer she was hoping for? Or will she end up losing the lead and she will be back to square one? She doesn’t know.

Since the Dragon Knight has to concentrate in making his song, he kicked out Elaina and was advised to return in the next few days, though if he is still not done by then, she is allowed to get inside without getting kicked out like what happened that day.

Although Elaina is a bit mad that he kicked her out so suddenly, she decided not to complain too much now that he started doing the second half.

But one thing that still couldn’t get out of Elaina’s mind is the reality of the forbidden love that an elf and a dragon would have bloomed if not for the stupid rule of being a taboo. No matter what Elaina tries to think, she couldn’t understand how it works.

She returned home without the Harmonica and the booklet this time around. Although the God of Music did not say anything when she left the harmonica behind, he might be upset that she will not be able to play any music just yet without any musical instruments to even play.

When she arrived at home, she was welcomed with an earthquake that felt quite strong as she has to hold on to her bed just to keep herself balance and stop herself from falling to the floor. It lasted for quite some time and Elaina is noticing that the shakes is very irregular, it was like it wasn’t a seismic shock that came directly from the ground.

Thankfully, the shakes are slowing down for a bit, but she can still feel the tremors a little bit but not strong enough to rock her down once more.

"That’s quite a strong earthquake, but it hasn’t ended just yet...what is going on?"

As she was still trying to understand what is happening, she suddenly heard a familiar scream, scream that came from one of the kids.

"Isn’t that Mier’s voice?"

Elaina quickly headed outside the farmhouse and soon found the kids and even Alessa is there who is currently attending on Mier who was screaming in pain as a weird blue color of some sort of slime is currently climbing on her arms.

"Mier! What is happening?!" Alessa is already panicking as she tries to assist her daughter screaming in pain.

"It hurts! It hurts!" Mier screams in agony as the blue slime seems to be climbing and is consuming her hands for some reason.

"Layla, can you perhaps use your healing magic and purify her hands?"

Layla nodded immediately and began her purification Mier’s hands. As the purification begins, everyone saw that the blue slime seems to have slowed down from climbing but didn’t fully halted, contrary to their expectations.

Layla pours out every single of her mana until she exhausted it all but the blue slime didn’t disappear. The moment the purification magic was over, the blue slime resumed once more, causing tremendous pain in Mier’s hands.

"I can’t..." Layla is exhausted and almost collapsed if not for Arthur and her dragon supporting her. Elaina took over and helped her get settled down for a bit while she recovers the mana she used up.

"Don’t push yourself too hard, Layla. You still did great."

Layla, still panting like she have run for kilometers nodded silently as she rests.

While Elaina is attending on Layla, the magicians of the farm has arrived. The Great Sage, Julia and Yona are gathering around as well, trying to understand the situation.

"What is that?" the Grand Sage was not expecting to see something foreign before his eyes.

"You don’t know this situation, Master? I thought you would be familiar with what is happening to Mier right now," Julia was surprised.

"I would if I have seen it before. However, I haven’t seen this situation at all and I am not sure what to expect next about this matter."

Although the Grand Sage is not sure what is happening, Yona is fully aware and seems to have an idea.

"It’s normal that he wouldn’t know. It is an ancient curse that witches have tried curing in the past."

Yona snaps her fingers and Mier lost consciousness. Alessa held Mier who is lookinf helpless while the blue slime continues to move.

"Don’t worry, Miss Alessa. Mier is fine, I just made her sleep. It’s better for her to remain asleep during the duration of the curse especially since the pain is too unbearable and is too much for a kid to handle."

After saying that, Yona swiftly snaps her fingers once more and Mier’s hands that got affected by the blue slime was enveloped, including the nearest areas as well. The moment the curse tried to cross over the bubble, the curse seems to have melted away, but didn’t stop there.

"This is a temporary method to keep the curse off from further spreading. Of course, this is a temporary measure and there is a chance that the curse will break through the bubble. And that is the problem."

"Why did Mier got this? Care to explain for a bit, Yona?" Elaina asked, trying to make sense on what is happening.

"I am not too sure about this matter, Miss. But based on my past knowledge when I was still a witch, this is a curse caused by an entity stronger than her. She was marked by that entity and that is why she is currently being cursed to the point that she couldn’t live a normal life now." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"An entity?" Everyone frowned. That blue slime was actually a curse?

"Yes. Although I am not too sure though, I think I do have some wild guesses especially with the recent earthquake...it seems that Mier is currently being cursed by the one who made the Earthquake."

"The one who caused the Earthquake?" This is news to Elaina.

"I guess you didn’t realize it. After all, it was subtle. But based on the current situation and the laid information we have, this matter is connected to the awakening of Leviathan."
