Although Seth Quinn had never met Sarah Shelby, he knew Evan Shelby had an illegitimate daughter by that name.

Hearing his confident tone, Sarah Shelby grew a little uneasy. The relationship between the Quinn and Shelby families was already awkward. Now, Seth Quinn knew her father was secretly monitoring his family’s every move. What if Seth Quinn became displeased with the Shelby Family and decided to move against them?

"President Quinn, I’m sorry. I just wanted to help my friend Clara get a role in ’A Lifetime of Splendor,’ so I asked my father to look into a few things for me. If this has caused any trouble for you or your company, I apologize."

Seth Quinn knew she was making excuses for Evan Shelby, but he didn’t call her out on it. "It’s best if that’s the case. From now on," he said, glancing over his shoulder at Clara Grant in the distance before turning back to Sarah Shelby, "I’ll take care of her. Or, if there’s anything you want to help her with, you can come directly to me."

With that, he took a business card from his pocket and handed it to Sarah Shelby. "This is my personal card. You can call this number if you need anything."

Sarah had already found it strange when she’d witnessed Clara lashing out at him, only for him to smile in return. Now, hearing him declare so firmly that he would take care of Clara’s affairs, she knew she’d have to be a fool not to understand Seth Quinn’s intentions toward her friend.

’Seth Quinn’s attitude seemed serious. But he had always been cold toward women, treating them as disposable. So, was he being sincere with Clara, or was she just a fleeting interest? Or was this like before, and he was simply looking for someone to marry?’

’Besides, Clara already liked someone—and that someone was Miles Quinn. Now Seth Quinn was pursuing her too. This... was getting complicated.’

’But Miles Quinn obviously didn’t like Clara. Otherwise, he would have shown some interest after all this time.’

"Well then, thank you in advance, Mr. Quinn," Sarah Shelby said with a smile. "But about what happened today... I know Clara acted on impulse when she ran out, but I still hope that for the role in ’A Lifetime of Splendor,’ you could..."

"You don’t need to worry about that. I’ll take care of it." Seth Quinn paused, then added, "However, it would be best if you didn’t tell her about our conversation for now, Miss Shelby."

Seeing the puzzled look in Sarah Shelby’s eyes, he explained, "She still has some misgivings about me at the moment. I’m afraid she won’t accept my help."

"And why shouldn’t Clara have misgivings about you? After all, Mr. Quinn, you took advantage of her and slept with her!"

Perhaps he hadn’t expected her to be so blunt, or perhaps he hadn’t expected Clara Grant to have told her everything. Seth Quinn was taken aback for a moment, but he quickly recovered.

"That’s all the more reason I have to marry her!"

He had barely taken a step when Sarah Shelby called out to him again.

"Mr. Quinn."

Seth Quinn stopped in his tracks and turned to face her.

"Are you serious about Clara?"
