A Low Rank Female Goes Viral Across the Galaxy-Chapter 229: East Coast Competition
Seeing Jiang Qin sleeping soundly, Yuan Ling didn’t make a sound to disturb her.
He just quietly took out some small parts from his Space Button and started tinkering.
He only woke her when the cleaning robot arrived.
There was no other choice. He couldn’t have booked the entire theater for her to sleep, as the production team had already locked the transaction functions on his Light Computer.
They wouldn’t be unlocked until filming was over.
So he currently had no money to book the place...
Waking up in a daze, Jiang Qin realized she had fallen asleep and quickly apologized. "Sorry, I accidentally fell asleep."
Falling asleep during a movie with someone was the biggest faux pas; it was such a mood killer.
Yuan Ling didn’t mind. He had been watching intently and hadn’t been bothered at all.
He shook his head and chuckled. "It’s fine. Where to next?"
"Our date spot is the beach on the East Coast. We can go for a walk, enjoy the breeze, have some dinner, and then head back to the villa after the light show."
"Alright."
The two took a Flying Car to the beach.
It was sunset, and a cool breeze was drifting in from the sea.
A number of people were there with their cubs, playing in the sand and teaching them to swim.
As they played, a child would suddenly transform into a tiger or a wolf. There was even a Bone Armor Bear.
Its beast form looked like a miniature version of Shi Lichuan.
The thought of Shi Lichuan made Jiang Qin a little worried.
He had called two days ago to say the signal on the Wild Star was poor. He told her not to worry if she couldn’t reach him; he’d contact her as soon as he got a signal.
To be honest, she wasn’t completely ignorant of the dangers of Interstellar travel.
She knew that pioneering a Wild Star was no easy task.
The fact that new species were still being discovered from time to time, even after all these years of the Interstellar age, made that perfectly clear.
No one knew what kinds of creatures survived in those uncharted corners of space.
But Shi Lichuan was single-mindedly focused on becoming stronger.
His Riot Value had dropped to 10%; otherwise, she would have never agreed to it.
"Miss Jiang, would you like to wade in the water?"
Snapping out of her daze, Jiang Qin smiled. "Sure, let’s go for a walk."
Yuan Ling glanced a couple more times in the direction she had been staring, but he only saw a few cute cubs playing around.
’Does she like cubs?’
’That makes sense. Most married females want to have cubs of their own.’
He didn’t dwell on it and followed closely behind Jiang Qin.
Neither of them spoke. They just walked quietly along the beach, wading through the water, enjoying the cool breeze as they watched the sunset.
Compared to the intimacy of the others around them, the two of them seemed very distant.
When they grew tired, they sat on the sand, watching the sky slowly darken into night.
They waited until the light show over the sea began. They ate their boxed dinners as they watched, and only when it was over did their date for the day finally come to an end.

Back at the villa.
Jiang Qin, completely exhausted, collapsed onto the bed. Amused, Yun Xie picked her up to get her washed up.
The two were already intimately close, so she had lost her earlier shyness. She simply acted like a Stranded fish, letting him do with her as he pleased.
After her shower, dressed in comfortable pajamas, Yun Xie massaged her shoulders and asked, "Did you have fun today?"
Jiang Qin laughed and teased, "You were following me the whole time. Didn’t you get a good look?"
Yun Xie wasn’t surprised she knew. He said, full of confidence, "I can’t leave your side. Whether it’s to protect you or for... other reasons."
It was the truth. Jiang Qin had always known how clingy he was.
Far from feeling uncomfortable, she actually found it reassuring.
After all, that was precisely why she had chosen him as a partner in the first place.
So she answered his earlier question. "I wouldn’t say I was having ’fun,’ but it was nice. It was relaxed, like being with a friend."
This meant she wasn’t interested in him that way, at least for now.
Yuan Ling wasn’t the person Yun Xie hoped she would choose anyway, so he just hummed in acknowledgment.
Then he told her about the commotion on the Star Network and what Lan Yuyan had mentioned in his call.
"It’s your decision. If you’re unhappy, we’ll just go back to the Federation."
Jiang Qin shook her head. "I think it’s fine. There’s no need to waste money."
Breaking the contract would mean paying a penalty.
Their family had money, but it didn’t grow on trees. Besides, the bulk of her own money went to charity.
The rest was mostly the property of her partners. It was one thing for her to spend it, but she couldn’t just waste it.
"Still, I really can’t see Yuan Ling being the kind of person they’re describing."
Even after just one day, she could tell his intentions were pure.
They had gotten along pleasantly, both of them polite and courteous.
Yun Xie said nonchalantly, "Who knows? Maybe he’s just good at faking it."
Jiang Qin didn’t argue. After all, time reveals a person’s true character. She was naturally guarded and wouldn’t trust someone after spending just one day with them.
"Enough about outsiders. Are you feeling more relaxed now?"
Jiang Qin murmured, "Mhm, much better. Your massage skills have improved again."
"Of course. I hired a tutor on the Star Network specifically to learn how to better serve my female master."
"I can’t imagine who could be so attentive to me if you weren’t around."
Jiang Qin was never stingy with such sweet words.
Yun Xie completely fell for it. He couldn’t suppress the smile spreading across his face.
He gave up trying to hide it and whispered in her ear, "In that case, my lady female master, could I have a little reward?"
"This isn’t a reward. It’s what happens when feelings run deep..." Jiang Qin took the initiative, hooking her hand around his collar and pulling him down.
With just a few words and a simple gesture, she soothed Yun Xie’s restless heart.
He had been trailing her all day. To say he had been perfectly calm would be absolute bullshit.
If he hadn’t been worried about interfering with Jiang Qin’s work, he would have made his presence known and played the third wheel.
Instead, he was stuck trailing them from a distance like some mistress who had to stay in the shadows, staring sourly at their backs.

「On the morning of the third day of filming.」
The director was still insistent on pairing everyone up.
"Today, there will be a two-person competition on the East Coast beach. You can pair up on your own to compete.
"Whoever takes first place gets to choose one person to go on a day-long date with tomorrow."
At this, everyone who had just been acting indifferent suddenly had their eyes light up.
Ji Susu in particular stared at Long Hao, her eyes glinting with determination.
’I’ve already thought it through,’ she mused. ’With Denise and Natalie here, I can forget about the Young Marshal. But there’s still a prince from the Imperial Royal Family, isn’t there?’
’If I can win him over, the Ji Family will finally have a connection to the Imperial Family!’
So, she had set her sights on Long Hao.
Meanwhile, Denise and Natalie both had their eyes fixed on Jiang Qingfeng.
Kasha looked miserable. ’Five male guests, and I can’t get a single one.’
Jiang Qin decided to just coast. She had no one she wanted to pick, nor did she fear being picked, so she planned to just have fun with it.
’Since we can bring a partner today, Yun Xie and I can just eat, drink, and enjoy the show while the others fight over it. Perfect.’
"Third Prince, shall we team up?" Ji Susu spoke first.
Long Hao looked impatient. He ignored her and walked right up to Jiang Qingfeng. "Hey, want to team up?"
"Sure," Jiang Qingfeng replied succinctly.
