A Journey That Changed The World.-Chapter 1667: Don’t You Attack!
Archer stood shocked as he gazed at Shivralun City when stepping off the train, and was amazed at what he was seeing. He knew it was one of the few Eastern settlements that had survived the tide of his legions during the war as they swept across the land during the Great War.
The city now stood revitalized thanks to his soldiers rebuilding everything. The architecture was a breathtaking mix of tradition and artistry, with structures that seemed to rise from the pages of history. 'I can't believe she actually built what I showed her,' he thought when remembering Elara.
Complex designs decorated every surface, old carvings of Orientia's mythical creatures coiled around towering columns, their scales and feathers made with care and time. Arched rooftops, tiled in jade, sapphire, and crimson, gleamed under the sunlight, which surprised him thanks to how expensive it looked.
Archer noticed the beautiful wood-framed windows with lanterns decorating each one, casting shadows that danced across cobblestone streets, and banners fluttered in the cold breeze, depicting scenes of legendary heroes and celestial omens that were important to the people who lived here.
Every corner of the city thrummed with the energy of a people thriving thanks to his empire that helped them through the Long Winter by bringing warmth and food to the city. He marveled at the fusion of functionality and beauty that they managed to build on top of the previous kingdom's ruins after it lost to them.
Following that, Archer then saw that the city's defences were rebuilt and stronger than before; the legionnaires made sure to build it to stop the monster swarms that appeared all across Orientia. Seconds later, he turned his gaze to the right, where market squares bustled with life.
Even houses were decorated with painted murals that told stories of the history of the place. It was clear that Elara's vision had inspired not just restoration, but a renaissance, blending the ancient look of Earth's Eastern cultures he told her about with a bold new chapter for Shivralun.
As Archer walked the streets, he felt the weight of his past conquests and didn't realize how much they had taken during the war. The two women who were walking beside him were looking around in shock as Meredith tugged his sleeve. ''Why is everyone looking at us, Arch?''
He glanced around and noticed the people staring at them, causing Malakia to comment from the side. ''I think it's our magic, they can sense it.''
''This continent is nice, but everyone keeps looking at us,'' the blonde said, looking at a group of merchants gossiping about us.''
When Archer sensed the nervousness in their voices, he grabbed their hands and vanished back into the Domain, shocking the people. As the trio materialized in the treehouse, he explained. ''We were gaining too much attention; it seems like Orientia is more sensitive to mana compared to others.''
The lioness smiled and slumped down on a neabry sofa, relaxing into the soft cushions as Meredith went to make some tea, and Archer sat by the fire that he breathed some dragonfire into. Violet flames burst to life, sending hot air across the living room, making Malakia's smile widen.
''We can skip most of the east,'' he suddenly said. ''I don't want to keep getting sensed by the people. It will be better on Avidia, they are more open.''
''That they're,'' the older woman replied, smiling. ''I noticed it once we reached Ashkari City, people were staring, like they could see through the disguises.''
Archer shook his head. ''They couldn't; it was our mana that drew their gaze,'' he informed the lioness. ''It was why most of their mages avoided us at all costs.''
Malakia giggled at this, a bright sound that seemed to weave through the flickering flames of the fire. They sat together in a warm, unspoken harmony, enveloped by the heat radiating from the crackling hearth. The hot air washed over them, carrying the rich, earthy scent of burning wood and bathing the room in a golden glow.
The silence they shared was peaceful. After a while, the sound of footsteps could be heard as Meredith returned. The blonde stepped into the light, carrying three cups full of warm tea. Wisps of steam curled upward from the cups. She handed one cup to Malakia and another to him, keeping the third for herself.
Archer began drinking as he turned his gaze toward the treehouse's window that gave him a view of a white covered Domain. The trees were being weighed down by the snow as monsters rushed around, hunting before settling down. He sent out a wave of mana that washed across the entire realm.
The Nightmare Ants were filling up their food stores just like the other colonies. He was surprised by how many monsters he had, numbering in the quintillions, which baffled him thanks to growing so quickly, but a smile crossed his face as a swarm of Honey Bees rushed through the air, looking for flowers to harvest.
With a single thought, he created a field of them using his mana and the image he had in his mind. A sea of colorful flowers appeared near the bees' colony, causing the swarm to rush toward it. They collected everything needed to stock up for the winter, the weather was getting worse, and he was considering cutting the Domain off from the outside world.
'If I do that, they will grow as strong,' he mused.
As Archer scanned the Domain, he noticed Halime and Llyniel working in their sanctuary, where all kinds of monsters were living and thriving thanks to the women. The duo was busy chasing a group of strange-looking rabbit beasts, trying to get the creatures into cages nearby.
They were clearly having fun, putting a smile on his face. He continued watching them as soldiers dragged more cages into the Domain while Kassandra stood guard, making sure no trouble happened. When he saw all this, he teleported to the island he had made for the expedition and appeared behind the two.
''Hello, my darlings,'' he whispered into their ears.
Llyniel let out a scream as Halime whirled around, wide yellow eyes full of shock, before a bright smile crossed her face. ''Arch! You scared us!'' she exclaimed.
Llyniel, the Wood Elf, surged forward, her arms encircling his shoulders in a fierce embrace before she pressed a passionate kiss to his lips. Kassandra, the serpent woman, joined them, her laughter ringing out at the sight of their fervor. As Llyniel backed off, she stepped back, allowing the dark-haired beauty to get closer and greet him with a warm embrace.
Turning next to Halime, the Kraken beauty, Archer leaned in, sharing a kiss that echoed the warmth of their reunion. His heart still raced from the warm greetings as he caught his breath, a smile lingering from the affectionate welcome. Halime, her yellow eyes glinting with mischief, beckoned him toward a shaded glade within the sanctuary.
''Come, husband, you must see these,'' she said, her voice a blend of pride and caution.
She gestured to a cluster of small, fluffy bunnies hopping playfully in a clearing, their fur shimmering in soft hues of silver and gold. Their round eyes and twitching noses made them seem impossibly cute, almost begging to be petted. Llyniel and Kassandra followed close behind, exchanging amused glances.
''Adorable, aren't they?'' Llyniel said, her tone light but carrying a knowing edge.
Halime's arm brushed Archer's as she leaned closer, voice dropping to a serious whisper. ''But don't be fooled. These are vorpal hares, one wrong move, and those teeth can shear through bone like butter.''
She pointed to a nearby tree, its trunk marred with deep, jagged bite marks. ''They're as dangerous as they are, darling.''
Archer raised an eyebrow, half-laughing but heeding her warning as he watched the bunnies nibble at glowing herbs. ''Cute and deadly? Sounds like this sanctuary's full of surprises,'' he said, glancing at the three women with a grin.
Kassandra laughed playfully, while Llyniel smirked, nudging him toward another path. ''Oh, you've seen nothing yet,'' she teased, as Halime led the way deeper into the sanctuary's wonders.
Following that, they came across a lake where he sensed a dozen monsters slowly approaching them. Archer noticed they were giant crocodiles, the size of a lake. Thanks to his eyes, he could see everything trying to hide from him. Suddenly, the Wood Elf stepped forward, commanding. ''Don't you attack! I will stop feeding you if you continue to think about it.''
Archer began laughing at this as Llyniel was tiny compared to the crocs, but the beasts backed off, agreeing to her order. Halime and Kassandra giggled at the monster's reactions as the Wood Elf turned to him. He saw hundreds of creatures that lived on the island inside the Domain.
By the time they arrived at the women's private tower that was blocked off from the monsters that live on the island.
