A Journey That Changed The World.-Chapter 1308: More Help Is Always Welcome
Archer watched the Burrowfiends construct a new home as the queen stood next to him while letting out clicks and other noises that were orders to the workers who hurried about carrying dirt.
Moments later, Inara, Demetra, and Vivienne appeared beside her after entering the portal, causing the queen to back off in alarm. ’’Don’t worry about them. They are my women and won’t attack,’’ he reassured the monster, who calmed down.
The three women cuddled him before Inara commented in a curious voice while watching the monsters digging into the earth. ’’Aren’t you worried about a race of monsters getting the upper hand in the constant battles?’’
’’No. They balance themselves out if at the end of the war’s,’’ he explained. ’’I have five monarchs who control the strongest colonies in the Domain. Vivienne leads them with the Nightmare Ants, and the armies gather up if one monster becomes too troublesome.’’
’’There are plenty of other colonies out there, though none match our strength, except maybe the new Burrowfiends and the Ripper Ants,’’ the redhead cut in, her voice sharp before she glanced at him with a quick, ’’Sorry.’’
Archer chuckled while waving her away when hearing this but motioned for her to continue, which she did. ’’Once they spend a few months here, they’ll grow stronger thanks to the mana.’’
The other two women nodded in understanding as Demetra questioned while staring at the sea that stretched far. ’’Some of the sea monsters are being rebellious. Can I go deal with them, husband? I’m getting hungry.’’
’’Yes, I have to go check on Talila and Elara in the east. I want to go check up on their invasion to see how they’re progressing,’’ he replied before opening a portal as the shark woman hugged him tightly.

’’Can I come to see you tonight? I want to spend some time together?’’ Demetra whispered in a seductive voice.
Archer felt a shiver run down his spine, but he nodded with a knowing smile. ’’Yes, let me get everything out of the way, then meet me in my bedroom when the sun goes down,’’ he responded.
Demetra’s face lit up with a radiant smile as she leaned in, pressing a tender, love-filled kiss to his lips. Without a moment’s hesitation, she turned and plunged into the ocean, her dive slicing through the water with barely a ripple.
The Burrowfiend Queen’s head whipped toward the splash, her sharp gaze joined by the alert eyes of the surrounding creatures. ’Will she be safe, master?’ she asked in a concerned voice.
Archer chuckled as he pointed just as a massive navy blue shark that just breached the water while fighting a wild Kraken that he had captured ages ago. When the Burrowfiends spotted Demetra in her proper form, it scared them.
’’She’ll be fine. Dem is on the verge of becoming a Pseudo God,’’ he reassured the queen. ’’Now get back to your home and make sure you’re comfortable. Also, have some guards surrounding you. Many monsters will try to attack.’’
The monster nodded in respect before Vivienne spoke up. ’’Husband, I’m gonna go home and relax. I have a long day tomorrow as more eggs are ready to be laid as the last generation has grown up.’’
After that, Archer bid farewell to the ant queen, who stepped through the portal he had opened for her. Once the redhead was gone, he opened a portal to the eastern reaches of the Duskfire Empire.
He and Inara stepped through, and the moment the heat washed over them, the lioness let out a weary sigh. ’’I haven’t missed this weather. It’s gonna make me sweat bad,’’ the older woman muttered.
Without waiting, he cast Cosmic Shield around them and used ice magic to cool the inside down, which made the older woman beam as she shivered in delight before speaking. ’’That feels better. Avidia’s heat is horrible. I remember the merchants always complaining about it.’’
Following that, the duo walked down a dirt road and spotted a fortress that was being attacked from the surrounding forest. When Inara saw this, she took out her sword as shouting echoed across the battlefield.
Archer put his hand on her shoulder before speaking in a confident tone. ’’Go help the girls. I’ll deal with the attackers using my monsters to attack the enemy in the treelines.’’
Moments later, the lioness vanished just as he opened a portal and a thousand Broodmaws appeared from it, ready to attack. He jumped on the biggest one’s back before ordering them to split up and attack the Alliance soldiers.
’’Let’s show them what you guys can do!’’ he exclaimed.
Just as the words left his lips, the monsters screeched in unison, and dashed into the trees, as the one he was riding did the same as they climbed onto the branches above while traveling, which was easy for them.
Soon enough, Archer spotted enemy soldiers bombarding the fortress from the trees as the legions couldn’t return fire. Moments later, the Broodmaws crashed into the unprepared troops from above.
He vaulted off the leader as it dropped into a group of soldiers, its claws rending them asunder in a single, brutal sweep. Flesh and bone erupted in a grotesque cascade, painting the forest floor in a crimson tide.
Archer’s monstrous legion tore through the ranks and slaughtered every enemy attacking the fortress. Perched high on a branch, he watched the Broodmaws slaughter the soldiers to the last, their screams swallowed by the din of battle.
The Broodmaws surged forward in a relentless tide, barreling toward the army, and scaling the fortress walls. The hulking leader emerged beneath him just as the two monstrous armies collided with the Alliance in a cataclysmic clash.
Scythe-like limbs and razor-sharp claws ripped through flesh and steel, shredding the enemy ranks. While they battled, Archer teleported to Talila, who was busy blowing up the war machines that were causing chaos inside the fortress as fires erupted.
He turned around and cast Mana Manipulation to put out the flames, causing many soldiers to rush back to the wall. The silver-haired woman sighed in relief as she spoke in a tired voice. ’’I’m glad you came, handsome. Elara believed we could fight them off without your help, but cannons attacked us from the surrounding forest.’’
Archer let out a low chuckle before leaning down to press a kiss against the lips of the brown-skinned beauty beside him. Moments later, Elara appeared, followed by a blood-drenched Inara.
Catching sight of the older woman, confusion flickered across his face as he tilted his head and asked, ’’What’ve you been up to, Nara? You’ve only been here ten minutes. How’d you get covered in that much blood already?’’
The lioness opened her mouth to reply, but Elara cut in, her voice brimming with amusement. ’’This ridiculous woman dove straight into a swarm of enemy soldiers and began shoving them off the wall single-handedly. It was like watching a beast tear through a pack of helpless rabbits.’’
Archer laughed when hearing this as his Broodmaws butchered the remaining enemies and chased the fleeing ones. When the three women saw this, Talila commented in a curious voice. ’’It seems like the monsters are enjoying it a bit too much.’’
His gaze drifted to a pack of monsters tearing into a cluster of bodies, their anguished screams piercing the air as the creatures devoured them alive, which horrified the Draconians watching from the walls.
’They’re pure evil, aren’t they? No wonder the mere sight of them chills the blood of anyone who lays eyes on them,’ he thought with a chuckle.
Archer shook his head, a grim edge to his voice as he turned to Talila. ’’Yeah, they are. I didn’t fully grasp how wicked these creatures could be, but they’re useful, so I’ll keep them in play for the war.’’
The three women nodded while Elara collapsed as she leaned against the wall before speaking. ’’They attacked out of nowhere. We tried to repel it with a pitched battle, but the forces from the treeline nearly wiped us out.’’
’’No need to dwell on it. I’m just relieved you’re both safe and the enemy’s been dealt with,’’ he said, his face lighting up with curiosity. ’’So, how’s the invasion going?’’
’’We’ve taken several cities and towns so far. Fought three battles, but the Goldenmane soldiers normally ambush our lines or convoys as the other Alliance soldiers attack from the front,’’ Talila explained while putting away her bow.
Archer nodded in understanding as Elara added. ’’We may need some of those monsters you summoned to help. They could cover our march until reaching the Goldenmane border where their castles cover the river.’’
When he heard this, he brought out even more Broodmaws and told them to listen to Talila and the dragonkin, which the monsters happily did. They hid in the surrounding forest, causing him to inform the two women.
