Chapter 109: Chapter 109: You’re the Only One I Care About

Beanie’s high, childish voice terrified Manager Lewis. For some reason, he suddenly found himself afraid of the boy and quickly explained, "Mr. Ford, it’s a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding."

"Oh? What misunderstanding?" the man asked softly, his cold, resolute voice seeming to freeze the very air.

Manager Lewis found Jasper Ford terrifying at that moment. He forced a stiff smile and said, "I didn’t hit the child. Please, believe me."

Beanie lifted his head pitifully, his big eyes shimmering with unshed tears. He looked absolutely heart-wrenching.

Jasper Ford was fiercely protective. Besides, he could tell whether Beanie had been hit. The little guy’s watery eyes were filled with pure distress, devoid of any cunning or slyness. He had definitely been bullied.

His large hand gently stroked Beanie’s little head in comfort. Jasper Ford said in a low voice, "It’s okay. I’ll hit them back for you."

At these words, Manager Lewis’s face paled.

The others also stared at Jasper Ford in utter shock.

Manager Lewis sensed that Jasper Ford meant business and quickly said, "Mr. Ford, Vivian Quincy owes us money, and this child is her..."

"Ninth Uncle, they’re trying to extort her! Don’t listen to his crap," Hayden Kaye suddenly stepped forward, cutting Manager Lewis off.

Manager Lewis said, "What are you talking about? When did I extort anyone? Be careful, or I’ll sue you for slander."

Hayden Kaye shot back, "Then tell me, how much do I have to pay you to let me take Vivian Quincy away today?"

Manager Lewis froze. The words caught in his throat, and for a moment, he was completely speechless.

Beanie tugged on Jasper Ford’s sleeve and whispered, "Ford, he insists we owe him lots of money and says he won’t let us go unless we give him tens of millions."

"Is that so?" The man’s voice was sharp and utterly frigid.

Manager Lewis shot Beanie Quincy a vicious glare. ’Why does this brat have to talk so much!’ he thought. ’I should have taped his mouth shut from the very beginning!’

With Jasper Ford there, Manager Lewis didn’t dare make an exorbitant demand. But he was unwilling to just let Vivian Quincy go.

Even though Vivian Quincy was just in simple, casual clothes, Manager Lewis’s discerning eye could tell her figure was exceptionally well-maintained. Her skin was fair and smooth, like a young girl’s; there was no hint that she had ever had a child.

’A woman like this would be extremely popular at their club!’

Manager Lewis couldn’t stomach the thought of letting Vivian Quincy go so easily.

But he didn’t dare fight Jasper Ford for the woman, so he could only back down. "Forget it. Since Mr. Ford wants to take her, I won’t stand in your way. Just consider it a favor from me to you."

After speaking, he shot a look at the security guards.

The men blocking Vivian Quincy’s way stepped aside. She walked over to Jasper Ford’s side and asked, "Beanie, did you get hurt when you fell?"

"Mhm," Beanie’s voice was small and full of grievance.

Jasper Ford listened to their exchange without a word. He told Hayden Kaye to take them to the car outside. Hayden did as he was told, leading Vivian Quincy away.

Jasper Ford remained inside The Nightfall Club and made a call. Kaelan Knight arrived soon after. Looking impossibly elegant and surrounded by an entourage of seven or eight, he approached like the moon amidst a sea of stars.

Everyone inside the club bowed in unison. "Master Knight."

Kaelan Knight ignored them all, raising an eyebrow at Jasper. "Who pissed you off now? Are we trashing the place or killing someone? You’re practically fuming."

Jasper Ford turned, tapping Kaelan Knight’s chest with a slender finger. "Your people. You clean up your own mess. If I have to get involved, it won’t be this simple."

Kaelan Knight’s beautiful smile froze on his face, vanishing in an instant. He roared coldly, "What the hell happened?"

Manager Lewis quickly explained, "Master Knight, it’s like this..."

He glossed over the serious parts, deliberately exaggerating how unreasonable Vivian Quincy, Beanie Quincy, and Hayden Kaye had been. But Kaelan Knight didn’t pay any attention to that. The only part that registered was that they had laid hands on Beanie and Vivian Quincy!

Kaelan Knight roared, "Whichever hands touched them—cripple them all!"

The moment he spoke, the men behind Kaelan Knight strode forward.

A few bloodcurdling screams followed, so wretched they were barely human...

Kaelan Knight glanced, unmoved, at the splattered blood. Turning back, he asked, "There. Satisfied?"

"Hah," Jasper Ford snorted disdainfully, turned, and walked away.

No one dared to stop him, and no one dared to utter a single bad word about Jasper Ford. They could only watch as he left with an arrogant, domineering stride!

Kaelan Knight rubbed his aching head and muttered a curse, "Are you all morons? Of all the people to piss off, you had to go after Jasper Ford. Do you have a death wish or something...?"

The group lowered their heads in silence and called for several ambulances.

After leaving The Nightfall Club, Vivian Quincy and Beanie waited in the car for Jasper Ford. They didn’t know what had happened inside, only that they could faintly hear miserable, shrill screams. A moment later, an incomparably handsome man emerged. His natural air of nobility was so dazzling, it was impossible to look away.

Hayden Kaye said, "Vivian, don’t worry. With my Ninth Uncle handling things, it’ll be fine."

Vivian Quincy said guiltily, "The money I owe you... I’ll find a way to pay you back."

"How could you ever pay it back on your salary?" Hayden Kaye shook his head and chuckled softly.

Vivian Quincy said, "I don’t like being indebted to you."

"If you really don’t like it, then be with me. We can go back to how things were," Hayden Kaye said with utter seriousness.

Vivian Quincy froze, looking up in astonishment.

Hayden Kaye reached out, gently cupping her face. "Vivian, you know you’re the only one I care about. I’d spend any amount of money for you. Isn’t being with me better than being with Jeremy King?"

"I..."

"Don’t be so quick to refuse me," Hayden Kaye interrupted her.

The car door was pulled open.

A bone-deep chill flooded in from outside.

Vivian Quincy looked up and saw Jasper Ford standing outside the car. She instinctively pushed Hayden Kaye’s hands away and shifted to put some distance between them.

"Ninth Uncle, how did it go?" Hayden Kaye asked quickly when he saw Jasper Ford.

Jasper Ford said, "Get out."

Hayden Kaye froze, blinking. "Ninth Uncle, are you talking to me?"

"Were you expecting me to?" the man retorted.

Although confused, Hayden Kaye obediently got out of the car.

Jasper Ford got into the driver’s seat, shut the door, and drove off!

He just left!

Hayden Kaye was left standing there, shouting in astonishment, "Ninth Uncle, I’m still out here! Ninth Uncle!"

Hayden Kaye frantically pounded on the car door, trying to get Jasper Ford’s attention, but Jasper acted as if he were invisible. The car sped up, showing no intention of stopping. Hayden Kaye was simply left behind, staring blankly as the car’s taillights disappeared into the distance.

’Is Ninth Uncle blind? I’m not even in the car!’
