Chapter 147: Sharing the Good News

Qiong Xing didn’t know which type Brat would be.

But if one path didn’t work, then Brat could simply try his best on the other one instead.

"So build your strength," Qiong Xing said. "Not only physical strength, but mental strength as well. If your parents do not expect anything from you, then use that to your advantage. If there are no expectations, you won’t feel weighed down by them. You can learn whatever you like freely. It would also be good to focus on what you enjoy or what you are naturally good at. As a prince, you already have the time and the means to do those things."

Brat had money, time and access to knowledge.

If he truly wanted to study something, he could learn as much as he wished.

For common people, there were many things they had to give up because they needed to support their families or simply survive.

Brat did not have that same limitation.

"Do not hesitate to learn from others," Qiong Xing continued. "Whether the knowledge is about good things or bad things, it is still information you have gained. Be grateful to the people who help develop your talents. As for the knowledge of wrongdoing... keep it in your heart. It may become useful someday."

He added the last part with a quiet smile.

Beside him, Albe looked slightly disturbed, but Qiong Xing did not notice.

"Well, I may have spoken a bit arrogantly," Qiong Xing said with a small laugh. "But the choice is yours. For now, I’ll pay for these. When you’ve decided what you want to do, let me know."

"...Yes. Thank you very much," Brat replied.

Qiong Xing handed one of the newly bought items to Brat and then gave another to Albe.

"Huh? Me?" Albe asked in surprise.

Albe froze in place, but Qiong Xing simply smiled and quickly helped him put it on.

"Cari doesn’t need one yet," Qiong Xing explained. "And as for Leander and the others, they don’t have magic power, so it wouldn’t work for them anyway."

Compared to Qiong Xing and the others, Brat’s magic power was small.

However, it seemed he could still supply enough energy to operate a magic tool like this.

"That day, Albe, you were very worried about me," Qiong Xing said gently. "I’m not saying this will solve everything, but having a way to contact each other is better than having none at all. It should help you feel more at ease."

Of course, being able to see each other in person was the best.

But when that was not possible, even hearing someone’s voice could bring comfort.

Leaving Cari and Qiong Xing behind that day must have been very frightening for Albe.

Going to call for help had been necessary, but Qiong Xing had still wished there had been some way for them to speak to each other in that moment.

"Yeah. Thank you," Albe said softly.

The communication magic tool that was shaped like an ear cuff suited Albe very well as he smiled at him.

After that, Brat parted ways with them there and Qiong Xing and the others headed toward the church.

He felt that he should report the news to Lunios and Solinos.

After greeting the priest and being allowed to pray, the familiar white world appeared before him and a feeling of nostalgia quietly rose in his heart.

"Hello, Lunios. Hello, Solinos."

They must have been waiting for him.

The moment Qiong Xing greeted them, the two of them immediately ran over toward him.

When he pulled them both into a hug, they smiled happily.

"Qiong Xing, it’s been a long time," Lunios said.

"It has been a while, Qiong Xing," Solinos added politely.

"Yes, it really has been a while," Qiong Xing replied. "Just as I promised, I came to have tea with you."

"Please leave everything to me. We are fully prepared," Lunios said proudly.

The two of them then took his hands and guided him to a seat.

When he sat down, he immediately noticed that everything had clearly been prepared in advance.

There was the familiar green tea along with mochi and rice crackers.

With just one look, it was obvious that all of it had been prepared especially for Qiong Xing.

"Thank you very much. I’m really happy," Qiong Xing said warmly. "Actually, I came today because there’s something I wanted to talk about."

Since they were Gods, there was a chance they already knew.

Even so, Qiong Xing still wanted to meet them properly and say it himself.

After all, the reason he was able to feel happiness now was also thanks to the two of them.

"I’m going to have a baby," Qiong Xing said gently. "There are still many things I don’t understand, but I plan to do my best to raise this child."

"Congratulations," Solinos said with a bright smile. "If it’s Qiong Xing’s child, then I’m sure the baby will be very cute. Please let me hold the baby when it’s born."

"Thank you, Solinos. I would really like that," Qiong Xing replied happily. "And also..."

While Solinos was congratulating him, Qiong Xing noticed that Lunios who is sitting beside him seemed to be depressed.

The child was looking down at the floor.

Qiong Xing tilted his head slightly in confusion.

"Could it be... um... does it make you feel uncomfortable?" Qiong Xing asked carefully. "A man being pregnant might seem strange or..."

"No! That’s not it!" Lunios quickly said. "I’m happy about the baby. I really am. But... but..."

It seemed that Lunios had something he wanted to say.

Qiong Xing gently tapped his own knee and inviting him to come closer.

Lunios looked at Solinos for a moment as if checking his reaction, before he slowly walking over toward Qiong Xing.

He seemed to hesitate when he reached Qiong Xing’s stomach probably because he was worried about the baby inside.

So Qiong Xing gently picked him up and placed him on his lap.
