A Favor Done, A Husband Won-Chapter 410 - 404: Why Did You Suddenly Get Into My Car?
Ami gathered in front of Jing Jihan, chattering about a bunch of things.
Zhou He, listening beside them, rolled his eyes almost to the point of convulsion.
Shi Su emerged from the green screen studio, wrapped in a large down jacket. Jiang City had just entered winter, not quite cold enough for such attire, but having been caught in the rain all day was an exception. She was bundled up the most, with the hood pulled over her head, hugging herself tightly and rushing towards the direction of the RV.
"Hey, Shi Su~" Ami waved vigorously at Shi Su.
Shi Su turned her head, saw Ami, then saw Jing Jihan, nodded politely and continued racing towards the RV.
She was freezing and needed to go back to the RV to change clothes immediately!
"That’s Shi Su, the female lead of our group," Ami introduced with a face full of familiarity. "You’d never guess that Shi Su has a daughter, right? And she’s incredibly cute and pretty! Couldn’t tell, could you?"
Jing Jihan finally glanced at her once, "Have you seen her?"
"Uh... no, I guessed." Ami chuckled sheepishly.
The man’s gaze fell towards the RV, where Shi Su had already shivered her way inside, and Chujiu closed the door behind her.
Jing Jihan didn’t look away, his voice low and calm, "Indeed, cute and pretty."
Ami: "?"
Ami: "Shi Su and I are colleagues in the crew, and I’ve never seen her daughter. Have you?"
The agent had been looking for Ami for quite a while, and finally found her, hurriedly pulling her away: "Little ancestor, hurry up and change your makeup. You’ll have a scene later!"

The individual bathroom in domestic large RVs usually comes with emergency shower facilities. Though not as convenient as a fixed setup at home’s, the temperature of hot and cold water is moderate, suitable for a quick emergency shower, albeit a bit troublesome.
Shi Su took about ten minutes in the RV to warm herself up with a hot shower. She came out wearing loose, comfortable clothes, her hair loosely scattered, and let out a long breath, feeling like she had come back to life.
"The biggest hardships of actors when filming are nothing more than wearing a coat under the hot sun in summer and wearing short sleeves filming rain scenes in winter." Miss Chen noticed Shi Su’s cheeks flushed after the shower, indicating she had warmed up, and reached out to touch her hair, "So wet? Did you not dry it?"
"There was only one towel inside."
Shi Su said as she turned, grabbed another dry towel, placed it on her head, and randomly rubbed it, then sniffed her nose, which had become a bit congested from the cold, and sat down on the sofa in the RV.
"I just heard from Chujiu that Mr. Jing is here?"
Miss Chen had already vaguely understood the situation that occurred last time in Hong Kong, confirming the speculations concerning Shi Su and Jing Jihan. However, considering the urgency and circumstances during their time in Hong Kong, she kept that to herself without asking further.
Usually, everyone’s work keeps the topics at bay, but today seemed unavoidable.
"Probably here to see Ami. Doesn’t that young girl have some connections with the Jing Family?" Shi Su casually took the script over; she had another scene to shoot later, which presumably would end around dusk.
This scene fortunately wouldn’t require much fuss, just a light makeup change, sparing the time-consuming effort of other special effects makeup.
Seeing Shi Su browsing the script, Miss Chen decided not to intrude further, afraid of disturbing her rehearsal.
But Shi Su’s hair was still wet, and just hanging there, getting her clothes damp as well.
Chujiu had been called away to handle other matters and wasn’t in the RV. Whenever Shi Su indulges in her script, she tends to ignore herself and her surroundings, letting her clothes get damp without noticing.
Miss Chen went over, picked up the towel from Shi Su’s head, and helped her wipe, then noticed her making notes on the scenes and lines she needed to perform next.
Just as she began to wipe a bit, the door to the RV opened.
Miss Chen thought it was Chujiu, glanced back toward the open door—
Beside Shi Su, hearing the door open and close, she continued taking notes in her script. Her elegant handwriting neatly filled the margins beside each passage, while Miss Chen’s comfortable touch during the hair drying made her sigh with appreciation, and she continued writing fervently on the script.
Until reaching a dialogue where the character’s line didn’t quite fit the role’s personality, Shi Su tilted her head, thought for a while, and wrote a similar sentence that fit better on the side.
She muttered to herself, "Every time I act, I can’t help but want to modify the screenwriter’s lines. Although not many changes, doesn’t that suggest I possess talents for screenwriting?"
Shi Su continued while flipping to the next page, "At this rate, enduring in the crew, I fear turning into old cold legs before turning thirty, although it’s not unbearable. My true aspiration lies backstage, whether it’s nurturing artists or producing, even scriptwriting, still involved in this industry. Initially, I haven’t dared to voice it to you, Miss Chen, but lately, Jun showed interest in a few newcomers, planning to bring them on. Next year you can lead them while I gradually retreat backstage."
"It’s a wise decision." From behind, a voice spoke, their hand still consistently wiping.
The pen in Shi Su’s hand nearly flew away, hurriedly snatching the towel from her head, she turned her eyes towards Jing Jihan behind her.
"When did you..." she paused, recalling the door opening sound from earlier.
Shi Su quickly closed the script in her hand, stood up, "I was initially thinking it was Miss Chen helping with the hair wiping."
This RV was decent in size, yet Jing Jihan appeared overly tall and slender, and Shi Su just wearing slippers after showering still stood a head shorter than him, seemingly his silhouette covering the overhead lights.
Jing Jihan placed the towel she grasped back over her head, revealing a small segment of his smooth cold arm as he slightly held her head, preventing any movement, "Transition to backstage sooner rather than later; soaking in rain several hours in this weather, no amount of hot showers or ginger sugar tea would suffice."
Shi Su turned to find the hairdryer and said, "I’m aware, the crew’s environment is rather complex. Considering your high status and many eyes on you as Mr. Jing, what’s the reason for suddenly appearing in my RV?"
Jing Jihan’s tone remained serene, "Just checking on your old cold legs."
Shi Su hadn’t yet caught the swift nuances beneath the man’s calm tone when the RV door was suddenly knocked twice.
Neither Miss Chen nor Chujiu were there, the driver outside asked two questions and then opened the door.
Shi Su holding the hairdryer turned her head to look outside, witnessing the male lead Yuan Jun carrying a large pot of freshly brewed warm herbal tea, wearing an apologetic expression as he was about to enter. "Shi Su, I sincerely apologize for today. My scenes didn’t go well, forcing you to endure in the rain for so long..."
Before finishing the sentence, Yuan Jun’s footsteps froze abruptly, a ghostlike expression emerged as he gazed at the man beside Shi Su—
