Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Who Could Have Imagined Mr. Jing Aloft...

Shi Su was still completely unaware of what was happening outside.

When she returned to her room, the concierge had already fixed the water heater. Seeing her return, he helped test the hot water and said it was fixed, assuring her that the issue with unstable cold water wouldn’t happen again. Shi Su reached out to test it herself and found it much improved.

The concierge apologized sincerely, saying it was just an exception; their hotel isn’t usually this unreliable.

Shi Su didn’t fuss further; the hotel staff came in, cleaned the bathroom, and quickly left.

Her hair still wet, Shi Su casually ruffled it with her hand. Though she preferred not to blow dry it, she wanted to lie down and rest soon, so she went into the bathroom and started using the hairdryer.

After coming out, she received a call from the production team, saying the scriptwriter had sent over two additional pages and that they needed to pay attention to these when filming in two days. Busy rushing around, Shi Su forgot about eating.

It was over half an hour later when she changed clothes and remembered to make herself some instant noodles.

With an instant noodle seasoning packet in her mouth, an instant noodle cup in one hand, and a kettle of just-boiled water in the other, Shi Su was pouring the water.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. She quickly poured the seasoning into her noodles, covered them, and turned to open the door.

Outside was Zhou He, like a delivery person, carrying various bags and takeout boxes. Seeing the door open, he smiled warmly at Shi Su, "Miss Shi Su, you must be starving! This is takeout from a famous Cantonese restaurant in Z City. I just went to pack it up; it’s freshly made and delicious. You have to try it!"

Shi Su was stunned for a moment, hadn’t spoken yet when the opposite door opened, and Jing Jihan stepped out, glanced at Zhou He and Shi Su, signaling Zhou He with his eyes to bring the items inside.

Zhou He promptly obliged, smiled politely at Shi Su again, bypassed her uninvited, and entered the room, filling the table with delicious food, even placing disposable tableware thoughtfully. He said, "I also brought two bubble teas for Miss Shi Su. Not sure if Miss Shi Su likes sweet things, so there’s three-quarters sugar and full sugar; choose whichever you prefer."

After speaking, Zhou He turned to the already inside Jing Jihan, "Mr. Jing, I’ll head back now, call me if you need anything."

With those words, he quickly disappeared from the room, attentively closed the door behind him.

Shi Su watched Zhou He’s guilt-driven "service" attitude the whole time without saying a word. After he left, she turned her eyes to Jing Jihan, who was approaching her.

"He bought so much? How can I finish it all?"

Jing Jihan was already close, glanced down at her, "Aren’t you hungry?"

"I can’t eat all this; it’s too much."

"Just eat, stop with the excuses." Jing Jihan directly pulled her hand, dragged her to the table without a word, sat her down, and glanced at the cup noodle she had prepared, "Eat less instant noodles."

"It’s already prepared and it’s my favorite tomato beef flavor."

"Isn’t there tomato beef soup brought by Zhou He?"

"That’s different; instant noodles have their own taste."

"Your brain—you shouldn’t eat too many instant noodles; it’ll turn you into an idiot."

"?"

Just as Shi Su was about to speak, a piece of beef was suddenly stuffed into her mouth. She exclaimed, glaring at him, only to see Jing Jihan feed her and then sit beside her, using the same chopsticks to taste the food.

She looked at him, puzzled, "You came back so late; didn’t you eat with Jiang City leaders over there?"

"I did, not much."

Shi Su: "..."

She glanced at the man beside her, who was eating takeout with her without any airs, seemingly quite down-to-earth.

At this moment, she couldn’t help but reflect on the scene at the vacation resort today, where several important Jiang City leaders were all flattering him. At that time, Jing Jihan was indeed particularly aloof and hard to approach, standing tall and cold, instinctively making one hesitant to provoke him.

Who would have thought that the lofty Mr. Jing would now be ensconced in her room, eating takeout with her.

Even though he had once stayed at her home recuperating for over a month due to an injury, during mundane yet routine interactions, even though he cherished a bowl of porridge she personally made, even now, sitting next to her without any distance, she still couldn’t shatter the "boss" filter she had of him.

Jing Jihan, even when sitting in her room at that small table, even while eating takeout with her, maintained an elegant dining demeanor. His immaculate and sharp aura, noble and lofty presence, all emanate from within, never influenced by any external environment. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

After eating several bites of dishes, Shi Su tentatively reached for the long-abandoned instant noodles on the table.

But just as she was about to open the noodles and take out some, her hand was abruptly slapped away by Jing Jihan.

Shi Su retracted her chopsticks, sulking, continuing to eat other things while saying, "It’s already soaked; eating a couple bites wouldn’t matter."

Jing Jihan pulled a box of rice from one of the takeaway bags, poured the tomato beef soup into it, and pushed it to her.

Shi Su looked down; it was authentic tomato beef soup rice. The aroma was mouth-watering, but she was still annoyed by his dominance, not letting her eat a single bite of instant noodles.

She refused, "I won’t eat."

Jing Jihan raised an eyebrow, took it back, used the communal chopsticks to mix it, tasted a bite, "Not bad, I’ll eat."

Shi Su stared at his chopsticks and the bowl in front of him. Zhou He’s dishes were indeed delicious, but she just wanted some staple food earlier.

Prior, she hadn’t noticed there was rice.

Watching Jing Jihan rather unceremoniously eat several bites, her gaze immediately turned pathetic, staring at him.

Jing Jihan seemingly ignored her look, calmly continuing to eat her rice, casually throwing her cup noodles into the trash with his other hand.

Suddenly, Shi Su reached out to grab the meal box in front of him, "Save some for me!"

"Save what?"

Shi Su promptly grabbed the box, not bothering that he had eaten from it, stuffed a big mouthful into her own, cheeks puffed, muttering indistinctly, "A president fighting a small actress for food, tomorrow I’ll expose you to the media!"

"Weren’t you not eating?"

"Now I want to eat!" she declared boldly.

At that moment, the room’s doorbell rang again. Jing Jihan glanced at Shi Su, busy stuffing her mouth, got up, and prepared to open the door.

At the same time, Wei Sinan’s voice came from outside, "Shi Su, I texted you earlier; you didn’t reply. Has your cold gotten better?"

Upon hearing this, Shi Su instinctively thought to find her phone, suddenly realizing Jing Jihan was about to open the door. Instantly, she swallowed the food in her mouth, standing up with a swoosh, running over to pin the man attempting to open the door against the wall.

Jing Jihan glanced at the fierce little woman suddenly cornering him, his deep, dark eyes seemingly amused, but didn’t resist.

Wei Sinan pressed the doorbell a couple of times more.

Shi Su raised her head, held her mouth, still physically restraining him, not allowing him to move, meanwhile whispering "shush" at the silent man.
