A Core Ship From The Start-Chapter 2385 - 1600: Curtain Rises (Ben Cat Caught by the Comforter Sealing Technique)
After a month of rehearsals, the Tokyo BLADE performance has finally arrived.
"Wow, so this is what theater stages are like now."
Following Saito Kyoko into the theater and looking at the massive screen in front of her, Ruby couldn’t help but marvel.
"I thought theater was just the kind with drawn curtains."
"Indeed, some places are like that, but others have already moved to the forefront of the times. This might become the standard for future theater."
Guiding Ruby to her seat, Keiko also opened her mouth and spoke.
"Moreover, Tokyo BLADE is currently a hot serial work, much more popular than the already concluded ’Jintian.’
"Indeed, I thought no one watched theater anymore. After all, isn’t cinema more convenient than theater?"
Sitting in the back, looking at the packed audience, MEM also couldn’t help but sigh.
"Many people think so, but theater has its own way of expression. Alright, let’s take a good look at the leading lady’s performance. You guys should watch carefully too, maybe one day you’ll be on this stage too."
"Yes!"
Soon, Ruby, MEM, and Feng Bin Hexiang took their seats in order, staring intently at the stage. After all, this stage play has three artists from Mei PRO performing, and they were very concerned about how each other’s performances would turn out.
Soon, as the lights dimmed, the stage play officially began.
"Wow—————"
One has to say, this stage play indeed left the three quite shocked. Whether it was the 360-degree large screen performance or the airflow and sound effects from the stage devices, it indeed had a kind of shock that ordinary theater couldn’t convey. Not only that, unlike movies, being able to watch actors perform live on stage had a completely different kind of presence!
With movies, no matter how intense the scenes inside are, the audience is ultimately an outsider. But with theater, the audience on the spot can witness the development of the plot firsthand and even cheer for their favorite characters. And as the plot unfolded further, the atmosphere at the scene grew increasingly heated.
"Amazing!"
Halfway through, MEM couldn’t help but blurt out.
"Whether it’s Kana’s Sword Ceremony or Chi Yin’s Saya, they both have an imposing presence."
"However... Xiao Ai seems to not have anything particularly outstanding?"
Feng Bin Hexiang looked at the stage in confusion, voicing her question.
Arima Kaname’s portrayal of the Sword Ceremony was lively and cheerful, while Chi Yin’s Saya, though had few lines, conveyed a very strong sense of oppression.
Compared to them, Duanmu Huai’s portrayal of White Ghost seemed more like a side character, mostly standing quietly behind Saya, like a calm puppet. Even in the combat scenes, White Ghost mostly stayed hidden among the crowd, almost without anything particularly eye-catching—aside from her white hair.
"But seeing such a sister is rather interesting." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Ruby, on the other hand, was quite relaxed, even feeling a bit amused. After all, seeing this frail-looking, quiet, and pitiable girl, and knowing she’s actually her hot-tempered older sister, she felt... the contrast was absolutely full.
Right at this moment, the plot reached the midway point where the Shibuya Group decided to go to war with the Shinjuku Group, leading to Saya and White Ghost’s confrontation.
"Is it really inevitable to fight?"
Saya collapsed to the ground, bowing her head in lamentation. At this point, White Ghost walked over, knelt in front of Saya, and gently stroked Saya’s cheek, raising her head.
"Don’t worry, dear sister."
White Ghost looked at Saya and said softly.
"Just kill them all. Leave it to me..."
Simple lines, a simple confrontation, yet at this moment, almost all the audience seemed to hear White Ghost’s calm yet crazed whisper beneath. It sent a shiver down their spines. However, just as they were about to take a closer look, the screen began to rotate, engulfing Saya and White Ghost in darkness.
After that, the plot continued to advance, with the Shinjuku Group facing off against the Shibuya Group. Every actor’s performance was excellent, and the audience enjoyed it very much.
However, that cold and gloomy whisper seemed to linger in the audiences’ minds like a poison snake, making them subconsciously uneasy. It’s as if when you’re hiking in the countryside and you accidentally see a shadow slip into the grass, you might initially dismiss it as an illusion, but later, when you think back, you worry—was there truly a poisonous snake in the grass?
The audience was like that now. When they were captivated by the battles between the Shinjuku and Shibuya groups, they forgot about White Ghost’s ominous whisper. But once their excitement subsided, the shadow of the snake began to involuntarily surface in their minds. Many times, they unconsciously sought out White Ghost, wanting to know what exactly she was up to.
It’s like trying to find that hidden snake in the grass. Until you find it, it feels like something is stuck in your throat, hard to swallow.
But contrary to what the audience expected, afterwards, White Ghost seemed to vanish. Since the plot largely focused on the battles between the Shinjuku and Shibuya groups, and as White Ghost was not the holder of the Alliance Blade, she naturally didn’t appear on the main battlefield. It was only when Saya finished fighting and retreated that she would appear as a sister to greet her.
