A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 585 - Long Qu Wants To Borrow A Few Swords
Boom!
A ray of golden sword light burst forth.
“I don’t want to hear your stupid explanations!”
Thump!
Xiao Chen deflected the sword light with his red spear, but he was still blasted hundreds of zhang back. He whirled around. “Hey, how dare you attack me for real?! You even used sword intent!”
Boom!
Xiao Chen spun his Divine Blood Spear and thrust forward, shattering the sword light. Eerie ghost qi lingered in the air.
“What the hell? Are you activating your Ghost Arm?” Xiao Chen shouted. “Brother-in-Law... Second Brother! Second Brother!”
Ye Feng had lost his mind from rage. “I treated you as a brother, and you’re treating me as your brother-in-law?!”
Whoosh!
The space around Ye Feng trembled. Xiao Chen hurriedly tore a hole in space and dove inside. Before ducking through, he turned and winked at Ye Qing’er, whose cheeks were burning.
He smiled. “Qing’er, wait for me to come back!”
As Ye Feng watched the spatial tear seal itself, he coincidentally glanced back, only to catch his sister blushing and giving a small hum of agreement. He got even angrier. He sheathed his sword and huffed coldly while Ye Qing’er kept quiet, watching him with her big eyes.
Ye Feng was about to say something when Lu Kangnian appeared with Qin Xian by his side. He froze. “We’re fine, Sect Master. I was just teaching that bastard a lesson...”
“We’re not here for that,” Lu Kangnian said, his expression grave. “Someone’s coming.”
Ye Feng subconsciously rested his hand on the hilt of his sword and asked softly, “Who?”
Lu Kangnian maintained a calm expression as he led Ye Feng and Cao Yan outside. He spoke to them through voice transmission. “Long Qu!”
Ye Feng frowned. From Lu Kangnian’s tone, it sounded serious. But as far as he remembered, the Northern Heavenly King, Long Qu, was a decent person who treated the Daxia Sword Sect well.
Cao Yan knew nothing about Long Qu and only understood after Ye Feng explained.
Lu Kangnian transmitted, “Ever since Guanqi rose to fame, the sect has risen in status too. The Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion has been secretly sending us resources—that’s how we’ve prospered so much. But the abundance of resources has also attracted people with ill intentions. Long Qu is one of them!”
Ye Feng’s eyes narrowed, a cold light flashing through them. He snorted. “What does he want?”
Lu Kangnian narrowed his eyes too and smirked. “The Seven Peaks Swords, a set of seven ancient treasure swords. He hasn’t taken any drastic measures so far, though.”
Buzz!
The group of four arrived just inside the sect’s barrier.
Ye Feng was meeting the Northern Heavenly King of the Azure Cloud Continent again. He had first encountered Long Qu during the Tournament of a Hundred Sects. Back then, Long Qu had been like a god to them, someone who could casually impart insights and cultivation techniques. And he had only been at the mid Divine Transformation Realm.
Buzz!
The sky split open outside the barrier. A man in robes flowing with golden light stepped out of the void. He had the same cropped black hair as before, a high nose, and slightly thick lips. His features were masculine, with tiger-like eyes and cheeks crisscrossed with scars. He came across as someone not to be trifled with.
Long Qu’s mouth curved upward, but when he saw the thick barrier, his eyes flashed coldly. He smiled and remarked, “What? It looks like the Daxia Sword Sect doesn’t welcome me at all... You’ve even activated the sect’s protective barrier.”
A violent aura spread from him as he spoke, sending ripples across the barrier’s surface and making it tremble.
Long Qu’s hands rested by his side, hidden beneath his large sleeves.
“You’re only at the early Illusory Refinement Realm, and you dare act so brazenly?!” Ye Feng murmured, his eyes narrowed.
Lu Kangnian reached out to stop him. He gave an apologetic fist salute. “Please forgive us, Heavenly King. Our disciples are undergoing a mass breakthrough, and a key member is in closed-door cultivation. It’s not a convenient time.”
Both sides knew what the other was thinking.
Long Qu took a step forward. His powerful aura had forced a dent in the barrier, which shook violently, on the verge of shattering.
Ye Feng stepped forward, positioning himself between Long Qu and Lu Kangnian. He pressed his cheek against the inside of the barrier until his face was barely three cun from Long Qu’s. Ye Feng glared at him and rested his hand on his sword hilt.
“I apologize, but this is not a good time for our sect to receive guests,” he stated calmly. “Please leave, Northern Heavenly King.”
An even stronger burst of aura erupted from Ye Feng, pressing down on Long Qu. It didn’t force him back, but it was clear Ye Feng wasn’t going to back down.
Long Qu studied the golden-haired youth with the mole on the bridge of his nose and squinted, recalling something. He rested his hands behind his back and eyed Ye Feng with contempt.
Cao Yan saw ghost qi flicker along Ye Feng’s right arm, but Ye Feng forced it back.
Long Qu snorted and chuckled. “If I remember it correctly... You took part in the Tournament of a Hundred Sects recently, right? Tsk tsk. I hadn’t expected you to grow so much in just a few years, kid. Terrifying speed...”
Long Qu reached out, broke through the barrier, and patted Ye Feng’s cheek.
Cao Yan’s face darkened. His fist glowed with firelight as he cocked his head sideways, making no attempt to hide his killing intent. Ye Feng subtly lifted his left hand, gesturing for Cao Yan to hold back.
Long Qu laughed. “What? You want to attack me? You don’t actually think you’re the mystery warrior who killed the Black Sect Territory’s Southern Heavenly King, do you? Hahahaha! You’re hilarious.”
Cao Yan glanced at Long Qu and felt a pang of pity. Long Qu had only recently broken through to the Illusory Refinement Realm and couldn’t sense how far above him Ye Feng truly was. He assumed Ye Feng was only at the late Divine Transformation Realm and was stubbornly enduring his aura through sheer willpower.
Seeing that Ye Feng wasn’t fighting back and his cheek had swollen considerably, Long Qu turned dismissively to Lu Kangnian. “Lu Kangnian, lend me the swords. I’ve told you before, and this is the last time I’m coming here. Also... I heard Li Guanqi is back and has a sword box with two excellent swords.”
