Chapter 440 – I Want It All

Xuan Lin frowned deeply. He glanced at Li Guanqi and hesitated. “What... are you trying to do?”

Peng Luo leaped to his feet and jabbed a finger at Xuan Lin. “Is your brain full of shit? How can you not understand what this means after just a few words? Do you have no friends, or do you have no brain?”

The cultivators watching from afar grew nervous for Peng Luo. Xuan Lin had a reputation, and for good reason. He had earned it through sheer force and effort.

It was only natural that someone so capable would have a temper to match. Especially Xuan Lin, who had qilin blood in him. They were worried Xuan Lin would lash out and punch him in a rage.

Xuan Lin’s chest rose and fell, scorching fire vital force flowing through him. He asked coldly, “I can’t beat him?”

Peng Luo clapped. He looked at Li Guanqi and nodded with a smile. “Ah, so this one can be taught after all. Not too stupid.”

Then he turned back to Xuan Lin. “Since you know you can’t beat my master, shouldn’t you pay up a little something?”

Xuan Lin looked confused at first, but then his eyebrows rose as understanding dawned. He stared at the large radish on Li Guanqi’s shoulder, who was even curling his fingers at him in a beckoning gesture.

A surge of fury ignited within him, and he loudly cracked his neck.

He was an arrogant man himself. He looked at Li Guanqi, calmly took out a fiery red orb, and said, “Heavenly Fire Orb. If you want it, you’ll have to defeat me.”

Boom!

Xuan Lin stepped forward, shattering the space beneath his foot. Scorching red flames engulfed his body, his long hair whipping in the wind.

Peng Luo immediately ducked behind Li Guanqi, pointed at Xuan Lin, and muttered, “Master, you go... I can’t fight him.”

Li Guanqi’s mouth twitched. Peng Luo was the textbook example of someone who used his master’s name to bully others.[1]

Li Guanqi glanced at the Heavenly Fire Orb, which was radiating a powerful aura. His eyes narrowed.

It seems like a great treasure. Even if I can’t use it, I can keep it for Big Head the next time I see him.

Li Guanqi suddenly broke into a grin. Xuan Lin took it as mockery. He huffed coldly, and mighty power erupted from him.

Despite everyone expecting Li Guanqi to retaliate with his Heaven-Opening Tier abilities, the Red Lotus sword shot back into the sword coffin.

Xuan Lin frowned, his eyes flashing.

Li Guanqi flicked his wrist. The space beneath his feet exploded. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Boom boom! Boom boom boom!

Before anyone realized what had happened, deafening booms filled the air.

A terrifying fist aura erupted, leaving the bystanders gawking at the sky with their mouths agape.

The two were locked in an intense battle, their incredible powers causing the world to tremble. They clashed like two ancient demons, each fist meeting flesh. Blood splattered in all directions.

Li Guanqi’s eyes blazed with battle spirit.

The two of them twisted and tumbled through the air, pouring great energy into their attacks. Every punch and kick was incredibly fast. The bystanders couldn’t even follow their movements clearly.

“This is terrifying... I can barely see them at this speed!”

A late Divine Transformation Realm elder huffed. “You lot only gawk at their speed, but did you notice their physical strength? They’re able to gather maximum power and unleash it with precision.”

Just as the old man said, Li Guanqi and Xuan Lin had gathered their power in their fists. Every joint on their bodies could become a fatal weapon.

Li Guanqi cocked his head to dodge a punch. The wind stirred by Xuan Lin’s fist aura opened cuts across his cheek. He crouched, then pressed the fingers of his left hand tight and chopped toward Xuan Lin’s throat.

Xuan Lin’s eyes flashed. He slapped Li Guanqi’s hand down with one hand and stepped forward with his left leg, driving his knee toward Li Guanqi’s heart.

Li Guanqi raised his eyebrows and punched Xuan Lin’s rising knee with his deflected hand.

Boom!

Li Guanqi twisted at the waist, flipped, and brought his elbow down on Xuan Lin’s head with the force of a sledgehammer.

Boom!

His elbow collided with Xuan Lin’s temple.

Xuan Lin flew back more than a hundred zhang like a ragdoll, shattering mountain peaks in his path.

The attack’s power was terrifying.

But as Xuan Lin was hit, he’d also kicked Li Guanqi’s back, sending him plummeting toward the ground like a cannonball.

A loud boom echoed as a deep crater over ten zhang wide formed where Li Guanqi landed.

Li Guanqi’s mouth filled with blood. He spat out the mix of blood and saliva, then slowly rose to his feet. His Black Hell Robes had long become tattered.

Rrrip!

Li Guanqi tore off the ruined robes, revealing his muscular torso. He was covered in a dense web of wounds, and not a single patch of intact skin remained.

The bystanders drew sharp breaths at the gruesome sight. They couldn’t imagine how many battles he’d endured to bear such wounds.

Xuan Lin stomped hard against the air, finally stabilizing himself. His expression was grave, and his jaw hung at an unnatural angle. He dug his fingers into his mouth, then spat out three teeth. He looked down at Li Guanqi in the crater, shocked.

He hadn’t been fighting at full strength, but he could sense that Li Guanqi hadn’t either. And Li Guanqi not using his full strength didn’t mean he wasn’t using his sword. Xuan Lin had sensed that Li Guanqi wasn’t fighting with full physical strength.

Xuan Lin stared at him for a long moment, then cursed in resignation. “Monster.”

Li Guanqi looked up at Xuan Lin and grinned. Even the third tier of the Dragon-Elephant Subduing Sutra wasn’t enough to take him down.

Boom!

Under the immense pressure of Li Guanqi's power, the ground within dozens of zhang of him fractured and collapsed, sinking a zhang deep.

Boom!

Li Guanqi leaped, relying on pure physical strength alone to vanish.

Xuan Lin’s eyes widened. He quickly raised his fists and yelled, “I’m not fighting anymore! I yield!”

By the end of his sentence, Li Guanqi’s hand, in a chopping gesture, hovered less than an inch from his eyes.
