Chapter 320 – Killing Lu Yi With A Punch

Tang Yan kicked the black-robed man out the window. His chest heaved with anger as he caught his breath. After a moment’s thought, he said coldly, “Since he’s an idiot, there’s no need to keep him alive. If he doesn’t die, kill him.”

Outside, the black-robed man kneeled while trembling. “Yes, Second Master!”

Whoosh!

Tang Yan slumped into his chair, fuming. He hadn’t imagined that the man he’d invested so much in could be so utterly idiotic.

Now it would be hard to pin the blame on Tang Yan. Trying to assassinate someone within the city was just a stupid move.

He pressed his palms to his forehead and cursed, “They’re all fucking dumbasses!”

Then he flipped the table in front of him, but even that didn’t ease his rage. Pulling out a jade slip, he murmured, “Kill him.”

Crack.

The jade slip shattered.

Boom!

Meanwhile, on the slope of the mountains of Wuzi City, Lu Yi slowly rose to his feet.

Boom, boom, boom! Boom, boom!

His face was smeared with blood. His chest had caved in slightly, and his left arm hung broken. Terror flickered in his eyes.

He couldn’t understand it. No matter how much Lu Yu strengthened himself, Li Guanqi remained calm and composed. Li Guanqi’s punches might have looked crude, but his reactions were lightning-fast. Even when Lu Yi launched surprise attacks, Li Guanqi blocked them every time with effortless precision.

This is impossible! I am Lu Yi! How could a nobody like him be so strong?!

Finally, he recalled that his objective was to kill the old man, so his gaze wandered to the lightning cage far away.

Boom!

But then, Li Guanqi vanished from his peripheral vision.

When he reappeared, his face was less than a hand’s width away. He grabbed Lu Yi’s right arm and twisted hard, trying to snap it.

Lu Yi’s eyes went wide. If his right arm broke, he’d have no way to defend himself. His muscles tensed, and he leaped into the air, trying to position himself behind Li Guanqi.

But just as he jumped, Li Guanqi lashed out with his right leg like a whip, his foot aimed straight at Lu Yi’s neck.

If that kick landed, Lu Yi’s neck would turn to pulp.

Boom!

Lu Yi was hurled back hundreds of zhang. Li Guanqi frowned and looked down at his broken toes. He looked at Lu Yi and saw silver claws gleaming on Lu Yi’s hands. They glowed slightly, stained with blood. The claws were a spirit weapon, and they looked like they’d ended countless lives.

Lu Yi stood at a distance, panting heavily. He lifted his arm, clenched his fist, and said coldly, “I can’t believe you pushed me this far.”

Vital energy surged through Li Guanqi’s body, and his broken toes healed quickly. He flexed his hands, and then...

Boom!

To Lu Yi’s horror, multiple holograms of golden dragons and pale white elephants appeared in the air around Li Guanqi. The pressure was suffocating.

Li Guanqi looked at him nonchalantly. “I’m done playing with you.”

Boom!

The space around him exploded, tearing open into countless pitch-black spatial tears that stretched several zhang in every direction.

Lu Yi’s eyes widened. He crushed the pill hidden between his teeth, and his blood and vital force surged. Roaring, he threw a punch.

Boom!

A heartbeat later, he was sent flying like a rag doll, slamming into the mountain.

Boom! Thud, thud!

Lu Yi crashed into the eastern face of the mountain peak, shattering it. A hundred-zhang-tall plume of dust rose into the air.

“Pftt! Cough, cough...”

Lu Yi felt like his whole skeleton had broken apart. With an unfocused gaze, he looked up at the white-robed figure in the sky, ignoring the rain spattering on his face. Blood mixed with rainwater ran down his cheeks.

His robes were in tatters, and his claws had shattered. His arms were bent at grotesque angles, his hands nothing but pulp.

“Cough... cough...”

He could never have imagined being defeated by a single punch, powered by nothing but raw physical strength.

He then watched as the three saintly-white elephants raised their legs high into the air and the dragons unleashed deafening roars.

Looking at the youth standing nearby, Lu Yi let out a bitter laugh.

The raised legs of the elephants came crashing down on him.

He coughed, and blood sprayed out of his mouth, carrying fragments of his ruined organs. In contrast, Li Guanqi stood unscathed aside for a few bruises. Lu Yi wondered, in disbelief, just how strong Li Guanqi was.

The world fell silent, save for the relentless downpour.

All of Wuzi City seemed frozen in deathly stillness.

The spectators looked up at the torn-up sky. The pitch-black spatial tears remained, taking a long time to mend. They all drew in sharp breaths.

Tang Ru swallowed hard and muttered bitterly, “He’s... too strong.” 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

The old man behind him was stunned, lips pressed tight. When Li Guanqi had said he could kill him, it hadn’t been arrogance. It was simply the truth.

Expressionless, Li Guanqi looked down at Lu Yi. And without hesitation, he drove his fist into Lu Yi’s head.

Boom!

It exploded. Red and white matter splattered everywhere.

Lu Yi, ranked fortieth on the Nascent Soul Leaderboard, had been killed by Li Guanqi with sheer physical strength.

Just as everyone thought it was over, a shrill cry rang from the horizon. A blinding sword light tore through the sky.

Then, a ray of lightning sword light also shot up into the sky amidst the falling rain, cutting through the first sword light.

A third golden sword light burst forth, forcing a black-robed figure back a hundred zhang.

Whoosh!

Li Guanqi stepped forward and appeared beside the lightning cage.

The spectators were shocked, finally remembering that Li Guanqi was a sword cultivator.

They held their breath as he advanced through the rain.

No one had expected someone else to appear. Furthermore, Li Guanqi had finally drawn his sword.

He was already as strong as a fourth-tier martial cultivator, strong enough to kill Lu Yi with a single punch. Yet now, he was taking out his sword to face this new arrival.

Many among the crowd stared in confusion at the attacker.

Tang Ru, still watching from afar, clenched his fists inside his sleeves. He was so nervous that he was drenched in sweat.

“That’s Xue Yan, ranked thirty-ninth on the Nascent Soul Leaderboard!”
