70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman-Chapter 372: Lu Hang
Xu Mumu was woken up by the thunder and lightning outside, opening her eyes to see a giant flash followed by a loud rumbling sound. The rain was pouring down heavily outside the window.
The sound of dogs came from outside, both dogs seemed a bit afraid of the thunder and lightning.
Soon, Xu Mumu heard Mrs. Liu’s voice gently comforting the two dogs.
Xu Mumu closed the window in her room to prevent the raindrops from coming in. She glanced at the time on her watch; it was just past four.
When Xu Mumu woke up again, it was the alarm clock that did the job. Upon leaving her room, she saw that the rose bush in the corner had been blown all over by last night’s storm; the stand had entirely fallen, with two rods broken, needing to be rebuilt.
The rain had not stopped yet, although it was now lighter.
"Mumu, wear something thicker since it’s raining." As Xu Mumu prepared to head to school, Professor Song advised while looking at the dress Xu Mumu was wearing. The temperature had dropped a bit; wearing something warmer would prevent catching a cold from getting caught in the rain.
"Got it, Sir Song." Xu Mumu nodded, went back to her room to grab a jacket, and put an extra piece of clothing in her backpack, just in case what she wore got wet on her way to school.
Professor Song was very pleased watching Xu Mumu’s actions. Girls are inherently not as strong, so more preparation is naturally needed.
With Yin Yang holding the umbrella, they arrived at school, Xu Mumu was considered a bit late today, and she went straight to sit at the back. The classroom was still lively; the summer vacation seemed to have gone well.
When Xu Mumu arrived, quite a few people noticed her, and several came over wanting to talk to her. But since it was getting late, they only managed to say a couple of words before class started.
Class time was quite relaxing for Xu Mumu, as she had done well on her exams last semester—not first in class, but among the top—and the teachers paid quite a bit of attention to her. However, during class, Xu Mumu mostly focused on reading her own books, as she had already learned what was being taught.
After class, Xu Mumu was called by the teacher.
"What book are you reading during class?" The young teacher in front of her seemed quite serious despite her young age. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Xu Mumu briefly listed the names of the books Professor Song had her read. "Mr. Meng, I’ve already self-studied the university material, so I read other books." Xu Mumu earnestly looked at Mr. Meng.
"Finished studying?" Mr. Meng slightly raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl in front of him; she knew the girl had some connection with Professor Song.
"Yes, Mr. Meng can quiz me anytime." Xu Mumu confidently stated, mainly hoping the teachers wouldn’t focus too much on her, leaving her to read her books.
Mr. Meng scrutinized Xu Mumu and indeed asked her a few questions.
"Your foundation is very solid." Mr. Meng observed Xu Mumu. The questions weren’t just second-year level, some were third-year, yet Xu Mumu answered them thoroughly.
"Thank you for your compliment, teacher." Xu Mumu grinned lightly, feeling quite pleased, indicating this teacher wouldn’t insist she pay strict attention to the classes anymore.
Back in the classroom, although people didn’t know what had happened, seeing Xu Mumu in a good mood suggested it wasn’t anything bad.
"Xu Mumu, what was Mr. Meng talking with you about just now?" A tall, thin guy with glasses curiously asked.
"Just asked me about some study-related matters." Xu Mumu replied gently. This guy was the class’s entertainment committee member, Jiang Zhenghao, quite good-looking, and several girls in the class liked him. This was gossip shared by Su Yue’e last semester; girls in the dorm often discussed which boys in the class were handsome.
Of course, her own boyfriend was also a topic of discussion; who could resist Yin Yang’s incredibly handsome face?
"Do you have any difficulties with your studies? Don’t hesitate to ask us if you do." Jiang Zhenghao seriously stated. Xu Mumu was not only pretty but also excellent academically. Even though she was in a relationship, many boys still liked her, including Jiang Zhenghao, who had tried to get close to her although she remained reserved.
"Not at the moment, but thank you." Xu Mumu smiled. Jiang Zhenghao really did perform well, achieving first place last semester.
Since attending university, Xu Mumu found herself less obsessed with being number one; she spent more time engrossed in books given by several professors rather than classroom material.
"No worries." Jiang Zhenghao shook his head. It was frustrating for him to shine academically in front of the girl he liked, thinking about it annoyed him.
On the other side, Lu Hang raised an eyebrow upon hearing his subordinate’s report. Yesterday’s events, the appearance of those two people, was quite coincidental. Were it not for Xu Mumu’s help, his son might have indeed suffered.
These two, besides Yin Yang’s complex identity, it was the young girl’s identity that was clean, so clean it made him a bit skeptical. He even made phone inquiries to Xu Mumu’s hometown, and every bit of the information was accurate.
"Have you found out who tampered with Junxiang’s car?" Lu Hang asked his subordinate.
"The evidence points to Mr. Lin."
"Ha, really raised a treacherous creature." Lu Hang chuckled coldly.
"Any orders, sir?"
"Inform my wife about this matter, let her handle it." Lu Hang said with a cold glint in his eye.
"Understood."
Xu Mumu had classes all morning, whereas Yin Yang only had the first two, leaving him free for the next two sessions. Yin Yang went directly to find Huo Qingze.
Huo Qingze also didn’t have classes for the last two periods, so when Yin Yang arrived, Qingze was about to leave. If Yin Yang had been just a bit later, he wouldn’t have caught him.
"What brings you here, not spending time with your girlfriend?" Huo Qingze asked, looking at Yin Yang.
"Mumu has classes later, I came to see you for something, let’s chat." Yin Yang smiled at Huo Qingze. The guy seemed to be doing quite well lately, gaining some weight.
"Shall we go outside?" Huo Qingze chuckled lightly, wondering what Yin Yang wanted. Whenever he came, it usually involved helping him, a thought that made him feel a bit weary.
"Let’s go." Yin Yang nodded. It wasn’t appropriate to talk about certain things on campus; he brought him over to the garden area.
"Heard you guys had goose yesterday; someone called my dad last night, looking for details about you both." Huo Qingze said while walking and smiling at Yin Yang. When the call came through, he initially thought the duo had gotten into trouble.
