"You have to sleep Avery,she’s not going to die.Hazel is a strong woman"Ezekiel said for the fifth time tonight,it wasn’t a possiblity for him to fall asleep while she’s fully awake.
Her mood was dampened ever since the visit to the hospital hours ago,and she skipped dinner also which was a futile effort after preparing food moments ago after she said that she was hungry.
He had gone out to prepare a fast dish for her,and now she’s neither eating nor planning on sleeping.
This was a crucial time for everyone,for the family and he didn’t even want to think about how Zaiden would be feeling right now.
He has refused to come back home,and rest a bit while the chief of staff assumes his position of taking care of Hazel until tomorrow.
It pained him deeply about Hazel’s predicament,it’s taking its toll on everyone in the family and he’s sure that his dad would be bothered about tomorrow and sleeping was a problem.
It was a general sickness tonight.No one was sleeping,not that it would be possible eceh if he wants to sleep.
Only tomorrow knew Hazel’s fate,and there’s a possibility that him assuring Avery that things would work out fine wouldn’t work just the way he predicted.
No one knows tomorrow, and just like the saying that says that tomorrow is pregnant,he was now seeing meaning in the proverb.
But all he could do was pray that tomorrow was pregnant with Hazel’s success.The only prayer in everyone’s heart that the surgery would work out fine.
Things wouldn’t be the same if Hazel dies,he knew that , everyone knew that and also they were afraid of what tomorrow had in-store for the young lady.
He could also imagine how it was for her right now, would she be able to do anything without her heart beating loudly against her chest, while reminding her of what awaits her tomorrow.
How did things end up getting fucked up at this right?
He wasn’t judging the young lady for what she had done,by using his son to get what she wants because in the end the both were deeply in love with each other.
Yey,it did occur to him that all these wouldn’t have been happening had it been she wasn’t his fianceè,had it been Avery wasn’t so obsessed with seeing their son settle down before she met Hazel.
She literally used all of them for her selfish needs,but to see how lovely her soul was ,she has confessed to what she did before she dies.
There were thousands of women out there who wouldn’t have done what she did,rather they would take the secret to their grave.
But maybe it would have been all better if she didn’t tell anyone about it, because everyone was hurting.
That’s what he thinks, that’s what his selfish mind was thinking about all that was happening.
But the moment he looked at his wife,he looked at Avery.He knew that he had no right to judge Hazel,it’s not his right to judge what she did.
She was only trying the survuve,just like any normal human being would do. He would have done so too if he was in her shoes.
Hazel had warmed her way into the hearts of everyone in the family,into his heart too and just like he loved Zaiden.He loved her too.
But it wasn’t the same for Avery,she loved Hazel more than her very own child,The girl was the daughter she never had but yearned for and he didn’t blame her for feeling that way.
Rather,he too joined in her pain,it hurt him seeing her this way and she didn’t care to know that.
"Babe please,you have to rest"He pleaded for her to listen to him,she has being giving him the silence treatment for hours now and he’s scared as fuck.
Avery being silent and keeping to herself,meant a lot of things.She was going through a lot and her mind was twirling in a lot of thoughts.
"Rest?"She spoke for the first time, throwing his question back to him as if he wasn’t making any sense.
"I can’t rest Ezekiel,i can’t do that.I can’t seem to close my eyes without picturing her crying face.How could i not have known that something was going on with..."her crying made it hard for her to continue talking,as Ezekiel engulfed her in a soothing hug.
"It’s not your fault Babe,you don’t have to blame yourself for what’s passing through.."
"I can’t seem to stop doing that Ezekiel,She’s so pitiful.Zaiden wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if anything happens to Hazel..’’She added,her mind drifting to Zaiden and what he’s passing through right now.
"Remember Baby that not even her mother knew that something like that, existed in their family"Ezekiel utterred.
"Yet,it’s still her fault that Hazel is going through all these.I can’t seem to think that Isabella would do such a thing like abandoning her own child!"
"I know sweetheart, but you don’t have to be so worked up about that.."
"Well that’s because you aren’t really concerned about Hazel ’’She snapped at his statement,then it hit her.
"Seriously?"He asked, stunned at her words.
"We all knew that you didn’t like Hazel in the first place, Ezekiel,stop..."
"Then what about now?!"He sounded annoyed at her statement,how could she think that he will take delight in what the young lady is passing through, just because she thinks he doesn’t like her?
This is what he gets for trying to keep her from worrying about Hazel,well honestly speaking,there was no amount of tears that was going to change the fact that what’s done has been done.
Hazel is sick,and there’s nothing she can do to change that,and rather for her to appreciate the fact that he’s doing a good job by trying to console her.
She’s picking offence at his words, seriously Avery?
"You still think that i still hate the girl my son is in love with,Avery. What’s gotten into you to think that I’m such a hypocrite to think that way?"
"Babe,I’m sorry "She apologized when she realized what she just did,her emotions are everywhere and she was definitely losing it.

"Avery ’’He called,a frustrated sigh escaping his lips as he went after her.Hazel had to be okay unless Avery would definitely lose her mind.
The surgery has to work out at all cost, before he ends up losing his wife too.He can’t afford to do that.
