365 Days To Love-Chapter 147 - ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTHY-SEVEN: Meeting The Council.
If Hazel had known, that this was the reason why Avery had suggested they were going out today,maybe she would have declined earlier or maybe faked that she was sick.
But doing that was not the best idea either, because regardless of that,Avery had made up her mind that she was going to the meeting with her irrespective of the look on her face that says that she was not interested.
After having breakfast with the family, and having dressed up while wearing the dress picked personally by her mother-in-law,Hazel had suspected that something was wrong with the way she was too excited about this whole outing with her.
Avery was smart,she had known that Hazel wouldn’t have gone out willingly if she had told her she was going to introduce her to the council this morning.
She had told her what’s ahead of her after she was done dressing and just like she had predicted,Hazel had disagreed on going out to see them which made her wonder exactly what her problem was.
After further talk with Avery,Hazel knew that her mother inlaw was not one to give up that easily when she sets her mind up to do something,besides,the meeting had been fixed already,cancelling it because she didn’t like going out was like mocking her mother-in-law.
Haxel knew what this was all about,yeah,she might not have been a lover of tv series and telenovelas,but she can tell that this was the part where the elites mock her for not being up to their standards.
She knew,but Avery had assured her that things were going to get alright,going ahead to tell her how everyone was excited to meet the lady who had captured Zaiden’s strong heart.
Maybe that had been what fooled her into believing that everything could work out fine, because she doubted that a second time when she heard the phone call she was having with her secretary, on their way to the location that Sophia had arrived.
She had forgotten so soon that Sophia was also on the council and would be present there too,and seeing that she was such an antagonist to her,she would try to label her an idiot in front of those women.
Hazel couldn’t calm her racing heart even after being assured by Avery for like the tenth time now,but it wasn’t that easy.
This was the first time she was going on such an occasion without Zaiden by her side,she had always been more relaxed if he was here with her,but no,the meeting was strictly for the wives of the elites which today was her introduction into the house.
’Breathe Hazel, everything is going to be okay’
Hazel assured herself, taking a deep breath while giving her attention back to the game she was playing on her phone to divert her mind away, from what was waiting for her.
Avery was spoiling her beyond comparison,this was what she actually wanted, a real family which she feels loved without having to question their love.
But does it matter what she wanted,even when everything was going to be over in the next six months coming,all these won’t matter.
This was like exposing her more to the public, and also adding more to their problems because once it’s made known that she fooled all of them and had used them all for her selfish needs,it’s not going to be kept a secret.
Sophia would gladly be the first to publicly announce it,yeah,the hatred she had for her was beyond comparison.
Hazel didn’t want Avery, to turn out to be a mockery in front of the elites once her cover is being blown,she would have preferred if things were taken lightly,but who was she kidding?
This is Avery Knights that is being talked about, and there’s nothing low-key about her which hurts her alot when she thinks about how heartbroken she would be, in the few months to come.
"I’m so sorry, mom"Hazel looked at her as she was busy with her phone to notice that she was looking at her.
She owed the woman a lot,which she didn’t know how to pay for all she did,in her next life she still want to be her Daughter-in-law.
"Ma’am we are here"The driver said ,as Mrs.Knights looked up to notice they were outside a five star hotel which were preserved specifically for today’s occasion.
"Mom,did you call the reporters?"Hazel asked when she looked outside to notice the swarm of journalists that were outside waiting for her.
This was too much.way too much!
Shrugging her shoulders at her questions,she tilted Hazel’s head up to observe her clothings and everything to make sure she was good to go.
"Perfect!’’Avery blew a kiss to her while Hazel smiled,raising her hands up in surrender.
Let her do whatever she wants,there’s no changing the mind of Avery Knights,so,the best option was do whatever she wants.
After all,this was what she signed up for when she agreed to be her Daughter-in-law.
"Remember,just be yourself"Avery advises one last time.

"I’m Hazel Blackwood,Please take care of me"Hazel said,with a lovely smile on her face as the woman stunned her by giving a standing and clapping ovation which surprised her.
She went too far with her thinking that they wouldn’t like her and judge her for where she came from.
But just like her mother inlaw had said , everything worked out fine,they had welcomed her in with a kiss on her cheeks accompanied with questions which in any way didn’t intrude on her privacy.
Surprisingly,upon their arrival,Sophia was nowhere to be found when the report had come that she excused herself for not feeling too fine.
"What’s your skincare routine, because girl you look amazing?’’Amanda asked,as Hazel looked at her then to her mother in law who smiled,before touching Amanda,who shook her head.
"No,that’s not true.How does her skin look this good?Emily is definitely not going to believe this,let me call her"Amanda said leaving both mother and daughter who laughed at her retreating figure.
But irrespective of Sophia not being present,and everything was moving smoothly,Hazel noticed two parties of hers that were looking at her indifferently since she walked into the room.
She didn’t put much thought to it, because she had come to realize that not everyone would like her as much as she thinks she was good with everyone here.
"I need to use the restroom. ’’She told Avery, looking away from the woman who removed her face when she noticed she was caught.
"Don’t take too much time"
"Okay"Hazel said, walking out of the room to the restroom,she had this feeling she was being watched but failed to see no one when she turned.
After she was done doing her business,she came out trying to stay positive that she was being paranoid because of the threat that someone was after her.
Maybe she shouldn’t have left without a guard?
The lights in the hallway were also dim,adding more to the fear of someone hiding behind those dark lights,she started walking hastily to the room.
The fear of someone after her might have blinded her judgement, because when someone grabbed her hand,she screamed hard.
