30 Days of Passion and Revenge-Chapter 89: Unexpected Visitor
"Excuse me, beautiful lady, may I chat with you?"
The thick, frivolous tone rang out abruptly in the room.
Sitting by the bedside, Lily looked up in surprise to see a young man of at least six feet three inches standing at the door.
His visage, a blend of diverse heritages, was strikingly handsome, with semi-long, yellowish locks artlessly secured at the nape. Under the prestigious banner of the Blackwood brand, he complemented himself with a light shirt and a vibrant tie.
The whole person exuded an unpleasant, thuggish demeanor, yet his features bore an innate nobility, a strange combination.
However, it cannot be denied that his mixed-race face was very handsome.
Looking at this unwelcome guest, Lily said coldly, "I’m sorry, you may not."
Hearing her words, the man clicked his tongue and walked in anyway. "Miss, you are not very lovely."
Why are men nowadays becoming more and more shameless?
Come to think of it, this man does bear a resemblance to Ethan Blackwood, especially his eyes, which are unfathomably dark.
As he got closer, Lily, on guard, got out of bed. "What do you want to do?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she pressed something cold and hard against her temple.
The man, with a thuggish smile, stood in front of her. "Beautiful lady, now you should be able to chat well with me, right?"
She had a handgun pressed against her head.
Sitting by the bedside, Lily immediately stiffened and didn’t dare to move.
"What kind of person are you?!" Lily asked coldly.
"Wow!" the man exclaimed, speaking in broken English. "Ethan’s woman is quite interesting, not scared at all? Very good!"
She was so scared that she didn’t dare to move, couldn’t he tell?
"Miss, what’s your name?" Without waiting for her to answer, the man introduced himself. "My name is Tommy Blackwood. I’m Ethan’s second brother. You can call me by my English name—Tommy."
Lily’s eyes widened in astonishment; Ethan’s second brother?!
No wonder she thought he looked somewhat similar to Ethan.
She knew the Blackwood family’s real territory was Europe, but she never expected someone from the Blackwood family to show up on her first day in Denmark.
And with a gun to her temple, what on earth did Tommy want to do?
"Hi, Miss. What’s your name?" Tommy leaned down, bringing his face close to hers. His mixed-race features were quite enchanting. "I find that I’m falling in love with you."
Was he telling some cold joke?
Do the men of the Blackwood family not have standard ways of thinking?
"Mr. Blackwood, are you accustomed to pointing a gun at the woman you love?" Lily looked up at him coldly.
"Tsk, tsk, I admire you even more." Tommy traced the small handgun along her temple, down her face, and sighed. "But today, I’m here mainly for my third brother, Ethan. Otherwise, I would take you home with me."
The feeling of the gun barrel moving across her face was very uncomfortable.
Ethan is the third young master of the Blackwood family.
"Get up, beautiful lady." Tommy Blackwood patted her shoulder. "Let’s go downstairs to find your lover."
Lily remained silent and did not speak.
Tommy’s gun was always aimed at her, pushing her towards the door of the room.
The castle’s staircase was winding, and Tommy forced her to walk down step by step. Before they reached the bottom, Lily saw that the hall was full of people.
With an expressionless face, Ethan sat on the sofa with his long legs crossed, his eyes cold and fierce.
In front of him stood three rows of foreigners wearing sunglasses, all burly and strong. Each held a black handgun, their hands hanging down by their sides.
It seemed like they were in opposition to Ethan. This was a solemn and suffocating atmosphere.
Lily walked down the stairs step by step, and Tommy, behind her, suddenly shouted excitedly, "Hi, my brother, I miss you very much!"
Ethan looked up coldly towards them, and when his gaze fell on Lily, his face darkened, and he immediately stood up from the sofa, his eyes bursting with bloodthirsty intent. He roared, "Damn it! Put the gun down!"
"Whoosh—"
The three rows of foreigners in front of him raised their guns and aimed at Ethan.
"Ethan, come with me; I promise not to touch your woman’s hair!" Tommy said.
For some reason, since Tommy forced her to walk downstairs and saw Ethan, her previously raised heart was not as scared.
"Put the gun down!" Ethan roared again, exuding an aura of anger.
"Ethan..."
"Damn it!" Ignoring whatever Tommy was saying, Ethan kicked one of the foreigners in front of him, snatched a gun from his hand, and fired two shots directly at the foreigner’s leg.
"Oh—"
The foreigner fell to the ground immediately, with blood flowing from his knee.
The sound of the gunshot was deafening.
Lily was startled; this was the second time she had witnessed an actual gunshot on the spot. The first time was at the police station, where Ethan’s men fired at the police, and this time. It was Ethan himself who fired the gun.
When they saw a companion injured, the group of burly foreigners were stunned and did not dare fire at Ethan; they all looked at Tommy behind Lily, waiting for orders.
Lily stood in front of Tommy, with her back to him, unable to see his expression, and his gun was still pressed against the back of her head.
Ethan’s gloomy eyes stared tightly at Lily, his face full of cruelty.
After a moment, Tommy’s thuggish voice sounded behind Lily. "Ethan, our father just sent me to find..."
Two more audible gunshots in the hallway cut off his speech.
Ethan fired at another foreigner’s legs without hesitation.
"Oh—"
The foreigner fell to the ground with a thud, screaming in pain, blood flowing down his knee to the dark-colored floor.
It was a shocking sight.
"If you don’t put the gun down, I will kill your men one by one!" Ethan glared at Tommy behind Lily, his tone particularly vicious, as he aimed his pistol at another foreigner, ready to fire at any moment.
Lily heard Tommy Blackwood panting heavily behind her.
"Ok, ok!" Tommy Blackwood gave in and put his handgun away, raising his hands in surrender. "Ethan, it’s been so long, and you’re still grumpy."
Ethan didn’t even bother to look at him, his gaze directly on Lily, and he spoke coldly, "Go back to your room."
Looking at the two foreign men in the hall with broken legs, Lily felt uncomfortable and nodded, obediently heading upstairs.
As she passed by Tommy’s shoulder, he suddenly lowered his head and lewdly whispered in her ear. "Miss, I’m interested in you. I’m the second young master of the Blackwood family. I may not have as much wealth as my third brother, but I’m much more interesting than him."
Lily gave him a speechless look.
"Bang—"
"Ah—"
Another sound and another foreigner’s scream echoed throughout the hall.
Lily turned her head and saw another foreign man fall in the hall. Ethan’s face was hideous. "Ethan!"
"Ok, ok! I won’t talk to your woman anymore!"
Tommy shrugged, put his hands in his trouser pockets, and walked downstairs with a swagger, his small ponytail swinging with his walking posture.
This Tommy was simply absurd.
The men of the Blackwood family were one more bizarre and despicable than the other.
Glancing at Ethan holding a gun in the hall, Lily turned and went upstairs.
The spiral staircase after walking up a section, Lily couldn’t help but stop and look down at the hall.
She knew the Blackwood family’s power was terrifyingly vast, and their wealth was frighteningly abundant. The Blackwood family in Europe was a myth.
But she had never heard Ethan mention his family.
Is this the strange way the Blackwood family meets?
Are you communicating with guns? Does this seem like an ordinary brotherly meeting?
Tommy walked to the center of the hall with exaggerated steps, and with a hooligan-like demeanor, he kicked the foreign man lying on the ground and groaned, his voice devoid of emotion, saying, "Get out!"
The group of foreigners immediately carried their injured companions and left quickly.
Several puddles of thick blood remained on the ground.
"Ethan, if you come to Europe and don’t pay respects to our father, he will be very unhappy," Tommy said in a thuggish tone. He sat down on the sofa opposite Ethan, propping his feet up and shaking his legs.
"You can leave now!"
Ethan dropped the gun and turned to leave.
Tommy immediately blew a long, unrestrained whistle. "Especially since Father already knows that your visit to Europe is for the lovely lady upstairs, not for him. I wonder if he might do something in his anger?"
Ethan’s steps suddenly stopped, his face darkened as he turned around, and he squeezed each word between his teeth. "Tommy, get out of here!"
"Oh... the lady upstairs is beautiful, pure, and lovely. I wonder if she were to break an arm or a leg, she wouldn’t be pretty anymore."
Tommy said with a thuggish expression, shaking his legs.
Standing on the stairs, Lily heard it all clearly and couldn’t help but feel a chill.
What did he mean by threatening to harm her? This was a clear threat.
"Tommy! If you don’t want me to kill you, get out of here now!" Ethan said viciously, his hand clenched into a fist by his side.
"Ethan, we are both illegitimate children. Whether we live well or not depends on Father’s will." Tommy stood up from the sofa, looking unrestrained. "Why bother to be angry with father? You can’t beat him."
"Get out!"
Ethan’s words were concise and to the point, without any nonsense.
Throughout, he conveyed one message: for his second brother—Tommy, to leave! 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Ok, call me when you come to your senses, and don’t provoke Father, or I’ll suffer too." Tommy shrugged nonchalantly and walked out of the hall.
Illegitimate child...
Lily, standing on the stairs, was utterly shocked. So Ethan was an illegitimate child of the Blackwood family?!
Is this not huge news? The president of Blackwood Enterprise’s Asia-Pacific region is an illegitimate child of the Blackwood family?! Not a pure-blooded young master!
But on second thought, there’s nothing to be surprised about.
After all, in today’s so-called upper class, who doesn’t have a few illegitimate children? It’s a kind of indirect characteristic of being wealthy and powerful.
"Damn it!"
Standing in the hall, Ethan suddenly cursed, kicked the sofa beside him, and swept the items on the wooden coffee table to the ground. He smashed the lamp, phone, and cups all over the floor.
"Bang—Crack—Clatter—"
Each sound was more intense than the last.
Ethan smashed things like he had gone mad and instantly trashed the hall.
What’s wrong with him?
Lily frowned, looking at his figure. His father wants to see him; there’s no need to be so angry.
Is it really that there are many troubles in wealthy families?
Two brothers can face each other with guns, so it’s unsurprising if there’s some grudge between father and son.
Nanny suddenly poked her arm.
Lily turned her head and saw the nanny holding a cookie box standing beside her, looking at her, then pointing downstairs at Ethan. "Miss Anderson, you go down and accompany Mr. Blackwood."
"Bang—"
Ethan smashed a floor lamp into two pieces on the ground.
If she goes down now, won’t her fate be the same as the floor lamp?
The nanny had already pushed the cookie box into her arms, looking at her expectantly. "Go on, Miss Anderson."
The nanny gave her a gentle push downward.
Lily could no longer hesitate, so she had to walk downstairs with the cookie box in her arms. Before she got close to Ethan, a framed oil painting smashed at her feet.
Lily instinctively took a step back, and seeing Ethan about to smash something again, she couldn’t help but speak cautiously. "Ethan..."
The tall and straight figure suddenly stopped.
Ethan casually threw the vase in his hand and looked at her with a gloomy face. "What are you doing down here? I told you to stay in your room."
It was the nanny who asked her to come down.
She didn’t want to appear when he was in a fury either.
"You haven’t eaten many cookies." Lily opened the cookie box in her hand and looked at Ethan quietly, her shoulders slightly shrinking, seemingly a bit scared.
