"I understand." Professor Sada nodded lightly, taking out her camera to capture the precious moment of Flutter Mane playing on the slide.

Professor Sada stayed a while longer to observe before following Naoki back to the living room.

Arven was very interested in the Pokemon at the ranch, so Naoki had his brother Indeedee take him for a tour.

Meanwhile, he stayed in the living room chatting with Professor Sada.

Professor Sada took a sip of hot tea and said, "It’s unusually cold this winter!"

Naoki smiled, "Are you and Professor Turo planning to come to the surface to celebrate the New Year this year?"

"Not sure yet," Professor Sada replied, thinking about her research. She continued, "It depends on whether the research facility is busy. If we can’t make it back, we’ll have Arven join us."

Naoki nodded slightly, "With you guys around, Arven will definitely be happy."

"Yes," Professor Sada nodded, "That child is the pride of Turo and me. Next year, Arven will be going to Paldea Academy, where he’ll make more new friends."

That way, Arven won’t feel lonely.
