Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement
Chapter 1062 - 1058: Pampered Too Much
Sophie Smith shook her head.
Not to mention it’s too soon to find out, but during the honeymoon, she noticed Asher Land was behaving out of character and showed no signs of wanting children.
Sophie didn’t know if she was just imagining it, but she figured that she should keep trying more often in the future because the more attempts, the greater the chance of success.
...
Eva Miller continued with her scheduled publicity appearances, but ever since Luke Land announced their relationship, the media and people around her seemed to look at her with complex and varied expressions.
While filming on set, the director toned down his usual ’big shot’ demeanor and wasn’t as harsh with Eva Miller anymore.
Eva was in quite a good state today; she got into character quickly. After this scene, there was still a night shoot left.
She sat to the side, took a sip of water, and couldn’t figure out whether Luke Land had been taking such good care of her that even the crew’s once-delicious boxed meals now held no appeal.
"Sister Eva, you shot scenes all day today. Are you sure you don’t want to eat a little something?" Elin asked worriedly from the side.
Eva shook her head slightly, seeing the greasy, spicy boxed meals made her feel nauseous.
"I’m going to the bathroom," Eva said as she stood up. Elin knew that Eva was pregnant, so her body’s reactions were quite normal.
As Elin turned, she saw a car parked outside the set and didn’t need to look closely to know who it was.
Wasn’t that just her sister Eva’s new husband? Lately, Luke Land had been showing up diligently; he personally picked up Eva most of the time wherever she went.
Elin, being a cheerful and outgoing girl, ran over to greet Luke Land.
"Mr. Land, are you waiting for Sister Eva? She has another scene later and probably won’t finish until about ten o’clock."
"Ten o’clock?" Luke Land frowned with displeasure. "Why so late?"
Well, that’s how night shoots usually are. Ten o’clock is still early.
"Can there be special circumstances? She’s been filming all day and is already exhausted. Can this scene be left for tomorrow?"
Elin inwardly complained; if Second Young Master Land just had a word with the director, it would be sorted. Why ask them, the lowly crew, about it?
Luke Land didn’t go to the director; instead, the director came over on his own. After a brief exchange, the director nodded in agreement.
"Got it, Mr. Land. In the future, I’ll try to schedule Eva’s filming for no more than five hours."
"Hmm." Luke Land responded and then drove the car out.
"Oh, and don’t tell her it was me who arranged for her to finish early, understand?"
"Yes, understood." The director responded promptly.
With that, the director began instructing the team to start clearing the set. Eva came out of the bathroom to find most of the area tidied up.
"Director, what’s going on?" Eva asked the director with some confusion.
"Oh, Eva, the actor you’re supposed to do the scene with isn’t feeling well, so we won’t shoot today," the director hedged.
"I see..." Eva murmured to herself. Feeling there was nothing she could do, she began to pack up her things to head home.
"Sister Eva, I won’t be taking you home today," Elin said with a cheerful grin.
"I didn’t drive today. If you don’t take me home, do you expect me to grab a taxi or take the bus?"
