Chapter 641: Chapter 641: Losing Reason

"Is there something off about that person?" Melody Thorne also noticed, as if he was trying to go after Kiki Sutton.

"Alright, let Harold Chapman handle him. Let’s go get some breakfast first. Kiki might wake up soon, and she definitely has a lot to tell you," Jared Quinn said as he pulled her out of the room.

"Cousin," Wendy Lynch hurried in from outside the hospital, carrying breakfast. "I heard from the butler you stayed at the hospital last night, so I specially brought breakfast. You and sis-in-law should eat quickly while it’s still hot."

"You’ve really become more considerate than before," Jared complimented his cousin, realizing he hadn’t noticed before.

"Thank you, cousin. Do you want me to bring lunch to the hospital too?" Wendy smiled playfully.

Melody Thorne looked at her with a hint of distrust. As a woman, she sensed that Wendy might have some feelings for Jared, but since they were relatives, she couldn’t say much.

"No need, just focus on your internship at the company. I’ll have the butler prepare lunch."

"Oh, okay. So, cousin, are you not going to the company today?" Wendy’s eyes dimmed a bit.

"No time today. Let Simon Sutton handle any issues."

"Alright."

After Wendy left, Jared took her into a quiet office. The smell in the hospital room was too strong and not good for Melody and the child.

"Eat more," Jared watched her eating, his handsome face frowning lightly. She looked like a little cat eating, hardly eating anything. A cat might be eating more than she was.

"I can’t eat anymore," Melody pushed the breakfast in front of her away.

The breakfast wasn’t made by the people at Quinn Villa; it seemed to have been made by someone else, perhaps Wendy Lynch?

"Be good, eat a few more bites," Jared wasn’t letting her off, picking up the spoon to feed her a few more bites.

"Why don’t you eat more?" Melody puffed her cheeks.

Jared chuckled, "I’m responsible for eating what you don’t finish."

Those words inexplicably made Melody’s face turn red.

Jared’s large hand holding the spoon suddenly trembled slightly, his vision turning blood red, everything in his sight changing, seeming to shout at him.

"Crash!" He knocked everything off the table onto the floor, waves of terrifying aura suddenly swelling within him.

"Jared Quinn!" Melody was startled. "What’s wrong with you?"

"Get out, quickly," Jared’s vision was filled with red; he couldn’t distinguish who was before him, as if they were just objects.

"Jared!" Melody wrapped her arms around his firm waist, her voice tinged with a sob.

The redness didn’t last long, just a minute, enough to drive one to lose reason.

"Jared," Melody’s voice came from his embrace.

"Why didn’t you just run?" Jared’s vision cleared up,

Just then, he first felt why his father had been so tormented, why he wanted to stay away from the Quinn Family.

"Hmm?" Melody lifted her head, her eyes brimming with tears.

Jared looked down at her, sighed, knowing he might have scared her, and wrapped her tightly in his arms, softly reassuring, "It’s okay now, it’s okay."

"Jared, what happened?" Leon Rivers opened the door after hearing the commotion, only to see the mess scattered all over.
