My Scheming Little Devil
Chapter 1330: The Dug Trap
"I’m sorry, you have to go yourself, you are the person in charge, how can you push it onto me?"
Seeing him so blatantly disrespectful, openly disregarding her, Ye Lu’s face darkened: "What if I, as the President, order you? If I, the President, have to do everything, then what is the point of employing these executives at the company? Are they just for show?"
Her voice was not angry, but it was filled with authority and pressure.
Donaldson looked at her with a bit of surprise, not expecting this seemingly gentle and frail Eastern woman to dare use her authority to pressure people. But in his heart, he still had contempt, thinking that a person without the ability to handle affairs, no matter if they were the heir to Hua Group, was irrelevant.
He only acknowledged people with strong abilities.
"I am currently on vacation, and the previous President has approved my annual leave, so it is not within my current duty to do this, sorry, but you’ll have to go yourself!" Donaldson said with a sarcastic smile on his face, and then walked out of the office.
Ye Lu’s expression turned extremely ugly, it was impossible for her to not be furious, mainly because of Donaldson’s attitude, but also because she discovered another hidden trap.
As the General Manager, Donaldson is the highest-ranking manager in the S company besides her, and he is also her most important guide within the S company. She must obtain information about the company’s internal affairs through him, and with his guidance and help, she can better control the company. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
And before she took over, the company’s main management was supposed to be Donaldson’s responsibility.
But what was the previous President thinking, to approve Donaldson’s annual leave before his departure, dumping the entire company’s affairs onto her, catching her off guard and leaving her in chaos as she took over?
She felt that the previous President must have known about this situation; by doing this, it was clearly aimed at her, to make her embarrassed from the moment she took charge due to not being able to cope with the situation.
She feared that the President must have been won over by Yiren, otherwise, why would he so sinisterly set a trap for her to fall into?
But at this point, fretting was of no use, Donaldson would not go, so she had to bite the bullet and do it herself.
She could only hurriedly ask her secretary to bring over the content of this cooperation. Time was tight, and to be honest, before she had time to clear up the entire cooperative plan in her mind, the secretary came in to say that the car was ready, and the meeting about the cooperation was to take place at 3 pm at the XX Hotel.
Ye Lu could only get into the car with a pounding headache.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Ye Lu realized she knew nothing about this partnership, so she claimed her throat was sore and it was hard to speak, letting the Vice President introduce and explain the details of this collaboration, as at least this Vice President, who accompanied her, understood the details better than she did.
However, halfway through the discussion, a group of people suddenly barged into the meeting room.
Ye Lu looked up in shock, her expression turning cold.
"Yiren, what do you mean by this? Barging into a meeting between me and the client so rudely, don’t you even understand basic manners?"
Yiren was dressed in an elegant black business suit, her hair elegantly tied up, holding a thick stack of documents, exuding confidence, followed by a group of professionals.
"What are you talking about? I’m just kindly informing this client, warning them not to be deceived by an irresponsible company, leading to a great loss. That would not only cause the client to suffer but will also tarnish Hua Group’s reputation, which would be a serious issue."
The person in charge from the sum company sitting opposite Ye Lu looked up in astonishment, shifting his gaze between Yiren and Ye Lu, his eyes full of suspicion.
Ye Lu inwardly cursed, a chill overtaking her delicate face. Damn it, how did Yiren find out she was negotiating business here?
